I worked at Sambo's during that time. They were quite popular, most locations open 24/7. We had good food at decent prices. Yes, they declared bankruptcy. The problem was that the company reneged on franchise agreements, which led to many managers and investors to pull out of the company, when they had counted on owning a franchise. They sued the company and won. This led to the replacement of the founders. They came out of bankruptcy. Then renamed the chain to Seasons. The unfortunate part was that they tried changing the menu and turn it into a higher class chain. This lost their regular customer base. They started closing at night. It didn't take long after that for the entire chain to close.

I went to a Duffs! I remember it being fine! But, also I was a bat kid! And Grandma sneaking fried chicken in her purse!🤣
Duff's was in my city for about two years. Most of the offerings were good enough but not outstanding. My favorite was the Chicken Cordon Bleu.
Treacher is pronounced with a long E.I loved Roy Rogers Roast Beef Sandwiches but my father said it was too expensive.
Gino's was the best back in the day Roy Rogers was and is still great
