He actually looks like a chad in this video because of the confident smile. If he was just chill and confident, despite having the same face and appearence, he goes from scared weakling to someone I cant take my eyes off of. It's amazing to think it's the same face.
Yandere Dev actually has a few aspects to his face that are traditionally attractive. He has a nice smile, his eyebrows are spaced apart nicely, and his eyes are kinda captivating in a weird way. I think in a way, everyone wishes for the universe where he's a nice person, who gets stuff done on time, and doesn't hate women.

Mike gave him some really blunt, but necessary criticism shout how YD programmed his states very poorly, and instead of taking that criticism and working on the game, he threw himself a pity party in front of the entire chatroom that because his idol doesn't like the game, it's not worth working on. He abandoned the project because of it.
Theory: This is from an alternate universe with a YandereDev that actually has a cool personality, makes funny meme videos, and released a fully functioning Yandere Simulator(Love Sick) game, which, while not perfect, is improving with every update. In this alternate universe, he's also far more rational, capable of taking criticism and applying it to improve not only the game, but himself as well.

A big part of it is the reduced brightness. Shadows and conservative lighting have been used to mask flaws in computer animation ever since its inception.
Deepfakes can look incredibly good if done right. You just have to have to perfect driving video that matches up with the exact angle and facial expressions of the image, and it will look good even just on a home computer. A lot of people are making them poorly, just putting random videos in and uploading what comes out.

You NEED to watch this tape. It is necessary. So, in a bit of a careful and uncertain manner, you walk to the kitchen to your living room, where an old VCR still stands on the entertainment center. You press the power button on the VCR, and the glow of green outlines the button, signaling that the device is on. You then grab the remote and turn on the TV, switching from the typical cable channels to the VCR channel. Finally, you grab the VHS tape itself, and slowly start to shove it into the VCR. The first signals of life pop up. The grain, the plain blue screen. Then, the tape finally it starts, and the face of a young man, not more than 25 or so years old, stares into the camera, quietly. Smiling brightly while you were there scared for your life, wondering when this would all come to an end. As the sirens of your city went off, you continued to watch in agony. “You were the first one” “You were the last one” These two lines spurred a sense of utter dread that you have never felt before in your life. This wasn’t just some regular prerecorded tape of a man, this was a man that was speaking directly to you in the present moment. To your soul and spirit, telling you what was happening. Them, something came upon you. You couldn’t quite put your finger on it at first, but it was there all the same. What it was, you didn’t know right now. “Video killed the radio star” “Video killed the radio star” Your senses the moment prior finally came to you in a wave. Finally, you knew who this man was. What the purpose of this tape was. This man was not just some ordinary human. He was beyond human. He has all the qualities of a human, but he has a spirit that we beyond all the humans of earth combined. You finally knew who this person was. It was God. It was the almighty creator himself. Before you could take this all in, the sky turned to black. The bright day of before turned into almost night. The sun became a blood red color, and the sirens roared ever louder. But you didn’t know this. You didn’t care anymore. You were fixated on the man on the screen, which you came to know as God. As the world you knew collapsed all around you, the dread, the sadness, the anger, the pain, all of it came ahead of you. But of course, you couldn’t do anything now. The sweat release of death was inching ever forward and as quick as light. Your final thoughts were spent thinking about why God himself would do this to you, to the world? What did we do to deserve this? What did I do to deserve this? The final lines of the tape, of God, came out of the speakers, louder than all the rest before. “In my mind and in my car” “We can't rewind we've gone too far”

As the young man sang away, swaying back and fourth in pleasure, the sirens outside started to go off. Something was happening. You didn’t know what, but all your senses told you that you needed to get out of there immediately, to find somewhere safe, but you couldn’t. You needed to watch this tape. Everything depended upon it. As the sirens of your city went off, you continued to watch in agony.

These two lines spurred a sense of utter dread that you have never felt before in your life. This wasn’t just some regular prerecorded tape of a man, this was a man that was speaking directly to you in the present moment. To your soul and spirit, telling you what was happening. Them, something came upon you. You couldn’t quite put your finger on it at first, but it was there all the same. What it was, you didn’t know right now.

Your senses the moment prior finally came to you in a wave. Finally, you knew who this man was. What the purpose of this tape was. This man was not just some ordinary human. He was beyond human. He has all the qualities of a human, but he has a spirit that we beyond all the humans of earth combined. You finally knew who this person was. It was God. It was the almighty creator himself.
Before you could take this all in, the sky turned to black. The bright day of before turned into almost night. The sun became a blood red color, and the sirens roared ever louder. But you didn’t know this. You didn’t care anymore. You were fixated on the man on the screen, which you came to know as God. As the world you knew collapsed all around you, the dread, the sadness, the anger, the pain, all of it came ahead of you. But of course, you couldn’t do anything now. The sweat release of death was inching ever forward and as quick as light.
Your final thoughts were spent thinking about why God himself would do this to you, to the world? What did we do to deserve this? What did I do to deserve this?
The final lines of the tape, of God, came out of the speakers, louder than all the rest before.
