Floor's sister is one of 3 "regular" backing singers. Floor and Irene comes in at 1:55, and then the entire ensemble (all guest vocalists, musicians, etc) filters onto the scene at 3:15. This song is nearly 20 years old, from their 2nd album 'Oceanborn' and one of Nightwish's most ICONIC tunes in their entire catalog. Floor does a simply FANTASTIC job with this material, as always, but honestly, this one fits Tarja's vocal style much better overall.,,,imho. Yeah, she really does have a whole fully realized Xena Warrior Princess vibe going on....kinda appropriate if you ask me......

This was recorded in 2018. one year younger. Did you notice how Kai was kicking ass on those drums. Sounded like a machine gun on mega full-auto! Wow! Floor looked to beautiful. What an outfit. I think she would kick Wonder Woman's ass! She had a baby only 18 months before show. Get well soon!

Arjen Lucassen is the mastermind behind that project, which has a story spanning across all of their albums; the roles are all played by very prominent Prog Metal singers. He's featured both Floor and her sister Irene in a few albums.

Yeessssss! Saw you posted, had to watch! (recorded in Buenos Aires in December 2018? Or is it in the beginning of 2019? It's for their Decades tour, where they revisit 20+ years of the band's music with their more mature and different line-up in tow). This video has been on loop since it came out. I wished they would choose this one to help us wait for the DVD and yassssss! They did! It was my favourite from the concert, and it's a feat in itself, because, wow that tour was phenomenal (still can't believe I finally got to see Nightwish live for the first time... and with Ms. Jansen to boon!). You ought to listen to the original version. It's quite different. I prefer this one, personally. Floor made it her own and wow do I find this version more grabbing, with the sound being a bit more aggressive and all. Kai slayed it on this one. Also, can we appreciate how Floor can go from sounding quite aggressive to having this ethereal tone in the last bit of the song (so beautiful my eyes water a bit when she starts singing there)

This song to me is an acquired taste. Listened to it back in the day and throughout the years and never disliked it, but never really remembered it. But now with a new twist with Floor and listening to it more and being older I guess, I've come around to it. It's not my full cup of tea still but I still believe Nightwish just dont make mediocre songs.

Glad youre feeling a bit better :) Honestly this has never been my favourite NW song, even the Tarja original (just personal taste, but I know other NW fans love this song), but this is a very good performance regardless :) Do have a look at Sleeping Sun from Tampere, its a beautiful performance of a stunning song from the same album as Devil and the deep dark ocean :)
This song to me is an acquired taste. Listened to it back in the day and throughout the years and never disliked it, but never really remembered it. But now with a new twist with Floor and listening to it more and being older I guess, I've come around to it. It's not my full cup of tea still but I still believe Nightwish just dont make mediocre songs.
