One correction.. you said it’s a Netflix original movie. It’s actually not. It was released in theatres long before it appeared on Netflix. For Indian audiences , the language is perfectly familiar.

REgarding the language, it was basically Bhojpuri, not really Hindi. The dialogue you referred to was the mother asking the mother in law --Kya ab auraton ki pasand ka khana banega?
It is delicious irony -- the person who cooks asking the matriarch if it is even possible to take women's choices into consideration

every rural language of UP isn't Bhojpuri 😂 Only the very eastern part of UP and the western Bihar speak Bhojpuri. UP is linguistically very diverse. It has avadhi (your hanuman chalisa, kabir ke dohay and ramcharitmanas ramayan are in this language), braj bhasha, bundelkhandi etc etc.
All these languages are much older than the standard Hindi/Urdu with a lot of rich literature of their own.

Regarding language, why is it that Some people on social media especially Pakistanis gatekeep Urdu a lot? They make it a point to correct people’s pronunciation and while doing so they sometimes go overboard as well. Its just a language not god’s word. People bring their regional dialects and mannerisms in very language they speak, be it hindi or english and nobody is up in arms about wrong adayegi but with Urdu people take such offence. Why?

    • @nitishsaxena1372
      @nitishsaxena1372 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

This happens when the language is not your mother tongue and you speak it because it has a "prestige" status in your society.
Urdu is the mother tongue of merely around 9% of the Pakistani population but it has the reputation of being a marker of the educated class.
The same happens with the English language in India and Pakistan. People here lose their minds being pedantic over the misuse of English, while the real native English speakers not only don't bother but themselves commit a lot of errors. Not to mention the wide variety of English accents in the UK, some of them being hardly comprehensible.

Just watched "Laapataa ladies". The movie is Simply Superb. The scene between Deepak & Phool in the farm just took it to the next level.
He is so vulnerable in that scene and yet he goes ahead with it.
The Overall narrative & storyline is so good.
This movie is much much better than the big budget South Indian movies and their remakes which have no sense in them - just big loud music, over the top action & tons of over acting. No nuance at all.
It is high time that audiences start valuing & supporting quality cinema over big budget loud movies with over the top acting.

I have personally met a few young Pakistani fellows. Trust me they are damn good storytellers. Bas unki kahaniya typical love story lolo pocho kuchi ku nhi hai... If u know u know, Pakistani TV serials which are currently popular in India, Its just a phase which eventually will pass. But I think its high time they should think beyond love stories. I loved Parizaad. And trust me Parizaad is just tip of the iceberg. Isse bhi ache ache bana sakte hai , par wo freedom nhi hai unke paas banane ki. Wai thakeli love stories ladkiyan aur auntiyan dekhti hai, eventually wo bhi bore ho jaengi. Humare yaha ekta kapoor 90s are early 2000s dominate karti this, Afghanistan me take kahani ghar ghar ki chalta that, Pakistan me bhi dekhte the. Par ab koi bhaaw nhi daalta. Soon the TV shit shows will go, OTT quality shows will get transferred to TV. Pakistani TV industry will have to match that. 25Million views is nothing if u simply talk about stats. U will have to give chance to young film makers with risky storytelling

It's sad very sad n funny that you guys are admiring mediocre films like Pathan n jawan that had an average ham actor .why
    It's clear Momin supporting Momins.
If you lover of art, do review on films like Sam bahdur, Article 370,Veer Sarvarkar, 12fail, Mujib.
    A sane sawal.
    Waiting for jawab.
