In 2009 I drove a 26’ truck with my oldest daughter and black lab loaded with my whole house! We drove to Tennessee to visit with friends for a day then on to Central Florida! My youngest daughter flew down the day before. My husband ( the girls daddy) had passed the March before. This was in September. We stayed with my brother for a few months then moved into our own place. A tough but exciting time! I’m still here and the girls are both married now. One back in N. Y. and the other in Utah! Life is good and God has always been with me. Blessings and love for you and your beautiful family. Safe travels. 👍🏻👍🏻🥰💕🙏💪

I didnt realise just how much I would miss seeing you in the house until this video ... I used to look forward to when you spotted a bear and how excited you would get I would always laugh and enjoy it .. or watching Maxine try to run see if she can see a bear with her little self ... Even the sound of Ruby's voice going through the woods ... I am soooo happy to see you explore your new area and do new things ... when I am excited about your vidoes my husband would say which one is that againnnnn ... the mountain lady lol lol lol .. Oh goodness Maddie has become a beautiful young lady. It lovely to see a youngster filled with joy about moving up the ladder in their Church Family. My 7 year old Grand daughter gave us a similar moment last week when I was humming a hymn & she added the words & sang with joy. Florida is getting closer.

We are so happy that you got most of your things packed in the 26ft truck. I can’t believe it. Fantastic! We live a little more than 2 hours south of Tampa. Once you get settled you will love Florida. We are facing a move from one house to another in the next 3 months so watching your move is both informative and stressful at the same time. Your family’s positive outlook is such a blessing.
So disappointed that you are leaving your big dog behind. That dog served you well protecting your family and property. Hope she/he went to a good family.
She sure did. But she would not fare well in Florida weather she is living life on a mountain as the dog she was born to be ❤️and a great family friend

I am so sorry to hear about your mom and dad..very hard..my thoughts and prayers are with you .we prayed about where to move to when we felt it was time to move out of our home in the mountains and Florida it was. Yes he left for a job down there last year and it has worked out and we decided to stay.

I remembered the day we moved. It was a miraculously smooth day. I summoned all of my children and grandchildren on group chat. Surprising they all showed up. We filled 2 trucks in 3 hours. Needless to say, I was organized like Amy. ☺

I’m 67 and I still remember when I moved up,to the youth department in our church. I was so excited and what is funny is, we moved the next week or so
Load as much small stuff at the overhead as you can & nothing breakable ... lol ... When you load your last truck, put bed & food last so they're the first to be brought into the new house. Set the beds up first after plugging in the freezers - by the end of the day you'll be too tired to do anything. Sometimes you can get a truck to be able to load your car on the back. You're doing great! Safe drive everyone. ❤
I have moved home 8 times in 40 years most done by the army as my hubby was in the forces. It was a lot of work for me to pack up with 2 small boys 2 and a 10 month old while my hubby was on duty but it got done. I will now have 3 channels Florida based that I watch all videos. I can’t wait to see your new home and for you all to be settled xx

Time frame ..I'd love to but not enough time. We are ready to move it and will clean as we get there . I have plenty of time to do that and unbox and find everything ❤️
Oh the memories... my parents moved from south alabama to upstate new york when I was 4, that trip we used an old school bus.. then when. I WAS 9 We moved back to Alabama, we used a huge uhaul for that and every other moving trip :) the last big trip I moved for was alabama to Indiana we used the biggest uhaul for 1st trip and then a few months later did a 2nd trip with the 26ft uhual for all that didn't fit the 1st time.... many smaller localized moves between those but those were some of the most memorable

My husband drove a 26’ uhaul with a trailer behind it for his Jeep. We drove from Florida to Colorado…..you can do it! Best of luck!

Greg n Amy, yes make sure you document every ding n scratch on the moving truck also the small fee for Insurance protection so you wont be held responsible, trust me on this and dont forget to take a pic of your km's/ miles dial prior to you driving so they dont try and rip you off

Getting up hadlock is a great idea. I know when my grandfather moved from Alabama to Georgia he had to get a huge U-Haul truck and where he had to park it and actually got stolen so he lost over half of his stuff that he had had since my grandparents had gotten married. It was heartbreaking
