I've noticed a lot of Terraria players here are getting to see ol' Clopsy in his home turf! He is no slouch in Don't Starve Together either - easily one of the biggest early-game hurdles. I would recommend getting the game if you are interested in facing him as well as this game's rendition of The Eye of Cthulhu!
DST is really underrated. I'm so pleased with the collab, finally decided to play Terraria like a year ago after seeing how cool the twins were in DST. I keep going back between games till this day.
i've played don't starve a little before getting into terraria, but now i would love to get a full experience seeing this again because of the collaboration
Here's a tip on fighting deerclops. Their -400 sanity aura only applies when you are so close that you are touching their feet. If you step a little back it'll become like only -40 sanity per minute. If you combine this with a recent change to deerclop's attack area going from a big circle to a cone, you can get more hits and not lose your mind as quickly. Here's the steps to performing this kiting routine. At the start of the fight, bait out his first attack as normal, then they'll walk towards you. But then whenever deerclops walks towards you, they try to get as close as possible, draining your sanity fast. Make sure to step back a little once they stop walking. Get 4-5 attacks, then when they attack, walk around to the other of clops and attack them. Make sure to keep that small gap between you and deerclops to not go insane incredibly fast. They won't move if you preformed it correctly. Keep repeating it until they die. When moving to deerclop's other side, don't stand too close because you can get hit. This can be tricky to preform at first so have plenty of armor and healing.

Well, taking the backpack off wouldn't have done anything. unless you're suggesting they put on body armor alongside the helmet, in which case it still wouldn't do much due to armor stacking only being a thing in non-together don't starve

This is reminding me the "hey its (insert character) from fnf" kids but if ya honestly didn't know that's alright honest mistake I barely touched don't starve cuz well I'm terrible at it but when I saw deerclops in terraria I went "why does that look familiar" they really did just rip him out of this game
Instead of retreating from the range of the boss, go around it. Therefore, boss won't move since you will be still in range of it. Your full attack range is enough to keep you safe from the sanity drain (at least until the fight ends).
It's actually very dangerous in DST. Not because it's super hard (it still kinda is tho) it targets player made buildings so unless you wanna get all your stuff wrecked you gotta kill it.
I always rely on Treeguards as base defense. A trio of large Treeguards is usually enough to make short work of both Deerclops and Bearger...though I once set the two of them against each other too.
I want to do the beta megapithecus with an army of 19 carnos an a yuty. The yuty has a ascendant saddle,the most of the carnos also have ascendant saddles Yuty 20460 HP 2898 Stamina 533% Melee Carnos 20000 - 30000 HP 2000% - 3000% Melee
To reach phase 2 for Crystal Deerclops you need to reach the current endgame with the lunar rifts appearing in your world. The red eye lazer variation is the Feastclops, and he spawns in place of regular Deerclops during the Christmas event.
The theme for this boss is just an absolute banger no cap. In DST it's an orchestral classical melody, really feels like a knight fighting a demon. In Terraria it's fast paced and modern theme, giving an adrenaline rush. Absolute bangers. Also molten fury with hellfire arrows is a better option for offence than a club of meat 🙂(I'm sorry).
How to shred Deerclops in Terraria: 1. Have a silver bow 2. Be stacked with fire arrows 3. Have at least iron armour 4. Be average at the game 5. Have a 2 layered at least 40 blocks long arena with platforms 6. Congrats, you can easily beat Deerclops!
In all honesty, Deerclops in Terraria isnt hard if you know his pattern. Good fucking luck fighting him in Fargo's Soul Mod's Eternity Mode, or Calamity's Infernum Mode, he's utterly hellish in those mods, and he can even stunlock you in Eternity Mode.

If you do play DST, try setting a goal to defeat the Eye of Terror! Working up to that will be a good learning experience.

I'd recommend the demon bow and fossil armor for more damage and build a long platform so you can avoid its attacks easier
This doesn't work because Deerclop's attack hitbox hits you even when you're behind him.

Dont worry, you can make a temporary campfire for day 30 on somewhere else and if hounds dont shit on your day you may kill him

I never engaged him like this... I always make a field of 100 tooth traps and lure him in.... It's easy, efficient and reliable way to kill Deerclops
