Most cars should have the Ford V8 4727 cc/ 289 cu in, probably the same engine as the Ford GT40.
The round taillights are from the Ford Cortina.
Total car length is 3505 mm / 138 in, that's 10cm / 4 in smaller then the "new" Mini Cooper from 2000.
Filmed between 2014-2021 at Circuit Zolder, Spa-Francorchamps, Nürburgring and Zandvoort.

My favorite cars!! Back in the day when I had a few. No emissions bull shit. Not catalytic converters. Raw horsepower. The sound is like a fine tuned instrument. A PERFECT "10"!!!

When I was fifteen or sixteen years old, there was a British guy that was staying nearby my home town in Florida that had one of these little pocket rockets.
It was white with a blue racing stripe, and had a 289 Ford Cobra engine in it. I never knew much about it ,only what I had heard from the local gearheads.
I was told that it was scary fast, and was hard to handle coming off the line in a drag race, since it was so light, that 289 was wanting to push the back tires up to the front. Needless to say, it got real squirrelly.
I saw them yesterday on spa sound of history 6 hour race and i loved this adorable little car the other cars competing were gorgeous aswell ❤
We have one of these locally at our Vintage Grand Prix. Black with gold stripes so it looks and sounds the part! They are such cool little cars! Great footage as always!

Comment to R35killa- the car you refer to (PA historic racer built by Mike Zappa Racing is a V6 Tuscan TVR ( thing of beauty too!). These are all early Griffith 200’s (TVR GRANTURA with a HP Ford 289. Love TVR’s!
Griffith 400's.......200's had the MkIII Grantura shell and the late 1950's tail treatment, the 400's the MkIV Grantura/1800S shell with the Mk1 Cortina tail lights and Manx tail....But I'm just nit picking 🙂All fabulous!!!
Like to know anything/everything about the black an green TVR , motors,,transmissions,, size of tires an wheels, rearend, who built it everything/all things about them
I'd also like to know those details. I have heard regards the first time a 289 was put in a Grantura TVR it was done by Caroll Shelby. That car was christened The Griffith. TVR began making road cars and Griffith became a model name in 1992 powered by a tuned V8 rover in a tube steel frame with a fibre glass tub body. Produced for about 10 yrs.
