- sorry for the poor quality of the graphics, but this run was done on an old ps2 console, and my capture card has seen better days XD
well, what a have to say... after so long time off, i came still in 2019 with this run, just basically 1 SA behind an 12M score , who knows in 2020? XD but i need do some vacation to style mile and try something in other tracks too , i wish an awesome new year to everyone and thank you for checking out
ps: if someone has interest, here are the entire playing session of that day including this run in the final, for who wanna see how are my attemps, good paces and fails until i get some good run :)

Inhuman run, just incredible! Loved playing this game as a kid. Awesome to see there are people still pushing the game to its limits after all these years.

Great to hear from you man!yeah man this is really crazy, speaking on good old memories, i remember when back in 2011 you invited me to join at merqurycity and told me that 10M on style mile was possible due an new technique discovered and i was like "WTF this sounds an impossible score to reach" and is really crazy in see how far we came at this game! and yeah man, i was avoiding test my luck at M2M cause this track fear me haha but i owe it a try! i'm glad in see that you still around and the next step will be the BIG one, i'm trying think in a way to put an SA in somewhere in this line... this is the only way that i think to hit 12M here and beat that Fucking crazy Koei score in a real run!
Hi Rastapo, Happy new Year! Have you considered going for 6 M+ point on a Perpendiculous run? I think that if you can build up your UBERs so that you can turn a Fast 81 K point SF X-SF X on the first turn and then land an AS when exiting the left rail, it might be possible. Take care, QP (Geoff)

I think that probally 5,7M should be the ceilling and the better way to reach this is alternate some X-SA-AS jumps ( with 5k of bonus air) with optimizeds AS - X (68 or 69k per jump) is possible do X-SA-X too, dagg showed this once in a video... btw Rastapo you already tried this strat? you think that time permits it?

Hi Fliper, It's great to see you back breaking records again, My Friend! I think that it is possible to break the 6 M point barrier on a Perpendiculous. (See my earlier response to you; it outlines my reasoning. By the way, be sure to wish Daggy a Happy New Year for me and tell him QP said, "Hi." I won't be surprised, though, if you break the 5.7 M point barrier on a Perpendiculous run and Rastapo breaks the 6 M point barrier on a Perpendiculous run. Hopefully, by that time, I'll be at 5.5 M+ points for a Perpendiculous run.

You madman!!! You`re back! When I first saw the 12 million TAS run I never thought anyone would come close to that score in a real run, but you proved otherwise. This run is easily among the best SSX runs of all time across all games, I would maybe go so far as to say that it tops everything I`ve ever seen.

WOOOOW. I will obviously never even get close to this, but this is actually such a wealth of info regarding what's possible. This is some real motivation to keep exploring every inch of the mountain, and to do those monsters as quickly and often as possible. (Not that I needed to be any more willing, but it's very welcome)
Yeah Man definitely the possibilities mainly in freestyle are infinity, and even on this run have still a thing that i Discovery some years Ago to try and reach the 12 M mark, i Just need find some time to get back here and try 😅
@@mskk001 I play a little basically everyday, sometimes a lot, but to do stuff like this must take some serious commitment. We'd all love another run, but it's totally understandable if you can't find the time and/or energy.
Some lower effort content could be a nice middleground if you do feel like scratching that itch and can think of something, but I definitely get go hard or go home vibes here haha

Hi Fliper, Happy New Year, My Friend! As always, you're welcome--and thank you for both the kind words and the Love Emoji. Peace, love, and respect to a person who I believe will eclipse the 12 M point mark on SM. My sister got married last November and she, along with my family and friends thinks very highly of you. In fact, all you have to do is meet face to face with Kristen once and you are guaranteed free stays at Casa Minerva. It is the least that we can do for you. I'll leave the actual calculations / suggestions for a 12 M+ point line on SM to Rastapo, but will tell you this: I think some more upgrades in your MT sequences will help you land over 12 M points on SM. (78 K points - 66 K points = 12 K points; 12 K points multiplied by 12 = 144 K points.) I think that you should also consider using bumpy areas to turn Finger 11s, SAs, and ASs. Think about using every space where you can get enough height to turn a MT and even doing a MT into the Finish Line.
Sadly, we are in the process of moving from Connecticut to Virginia, so I packed my SSX3 gaming equipment. Once I move, though, I am going for 6 M+ points on Perpendiculous. I think it can be done: Rastapo's top score is 5.656 M points. Now let's say, instead of building the final UBER letter against the wall for 16 K points, which is a total of 48 K, we turn a SF X-SF X for 81 K points. We would get 81 K points times 3, which gives us 243 K points - 48 K points, or 195 K points. Now, we are at 5.851 M points. Now, a SA off the rail is worth 26.5 K points or 79.5 K total. That value only brings us to greater than 5.93 M points, but, if a SF SA is added, another 79.5 points will result in a score of 6 M+ points. I am going for that score before I unpack. Also, I will break the 5.5 M mark on a Perpendiculous run for you. My birthday s coming up on January 23, when I will turn 44 years old, so thank you for an early birthday present!

I've played this game since it came out on my GameCube, and I'm not sure how ALL of those were "Monster Tricks"
What makes your score go from 7.5 million to 11.9 million when you go through the gate? I saw your running multiplier meter was at about 800,000. Which should’ve made your score 8.3 million. So where does the extra points come from curious
On the multiplier meter there's a big white number and that's the number that multiples the 800k for him to go from 7.5 mil to 11.9 mill
I would have to say the Alpine Star and the Finger II were good but the best Monster Trick in SSX 3 would have to be the X-Executioner . That is the best trick in SSX 3 it gives you 30,000 Points for that one trick if you put that in a 3X Combo with that same trick. You could almost get to 100,000 Points Times 10X That is a 1,000.000 Point Score in that challenge. I wonder what would people's thoughts would be if you added the X10 Multipliers in The SuperPipe and the Big Air Competition. That would be sick. Seeing scores go up to over 100,000,000 Or even Higher then that. Like this run right here or higher then that. Thank you Fliper for this video and all the other videos. You are getting a new Subscriber. Which is me. Thank you for making my brain Explode with excitement and happiness.

I am glad it's possible make world records with a other characters, because I just had enough with Mac playtroughs with making showoff world records, I wish that someone could breake Mac speedruning stereotypes, because personally he my least favourite character alongside Kaori and it's just my opinion, well was really amazing performance.

I don't know much about speedruns and WRs on here, but, couldn't you have wiggled your right analog and crazily get a higher combo bonus at the end there instead of just launching yourself off to the x5?
Maybe you can get a higher score if you try that?

So when you landed your last monster trick you were at 7 1/2 million and your multiplier bonus said 400,000. So how did that jump your score up to 12 million? As long as I have been playing this game I feel like I should know this but I don’t. And by the way dude that’s friggin sic!! I can’t clear more than 3.3 million
Hehe First of all, thank you for your cumplimment, i apreciate It, and about The combo points, this happens because the Speed that The game show The points is padronized, but The Speed that The player do The points can be faster some times, specially with Monster tricks (that makes The score jump up from 10K to 40K ) with the 30x + combo, The 40k became 120 K (80K of combo points), but The game don't show The 80k instantly, he shows in a cadenced Speed from 0K to 80k , so in this case i already had more than 4 Million of combo points but he Was showing 800k of points, but when we Cross The finish line he instantly Mark ALL The points that Was "hidden" , you can see that efect of combo even without Monster tricks in The superpipes events :)

@@dmallow5442 hummm, about The tapping, If you do two or tree taps in the Monster trick, this can be faster, but you will need be more precise ( when you do a Black Flip or front flip, If you keep pressed de diretional, The flip became slowly, but if you do a tap and then drop, The game Will complete de flip faster) so this mechanic, in the Monster tricks can be aply, or you can do in The more safe way, doing several taps in each MT, like 5 or 6 taps, but is slowly.... And The second advice, in The ground while i boost, before The jump, i use The Index finger in The square button to boost, this alow me use The thumb finger to do nose or tail press to keep combo, and after jump (in The air, to do a MT or any trick) i chance The fingers and use The thumb in The square... I always Did in this way, hope this can help in something,and Sorry about my bad inglish.

Hi dude, its been a while since i played this game, even worse about metro city, i played really a little bit there, i cant remember exactly that spot, but If you want jump higher, in general, you need decrease a bit the speed near the spot of jump(droping The boost near the jump as example) and pre Wind The most as you can!

Why do multipliers? They doesn't even increase the points, it's just shows a number of tricks you do...
It's not like in Tony Hawk's PS, where every multiplier increases scores in a progression 🙄
@@CoyoteEnix alfter 30x the combo Will increase about 200% of every base points you do (not including multiplier 2, 3, 5 or 10x) so If you Land 40k of base points the combo Will add 80k ++ on it... Its very usefull 🙂

Has two comunity of ssx3 , one in the Merqurycity.com and another on Discord, we can check some scoreboard there, but also, generally when some Record are broken, The guys came on The obsolete Record and comment 😂
