They are so good as musicians, singers, and performers that they deliver versions that are equal OR better than the originals. Their Chicago, and their Earth, Wind & Fire “covers” are more than “covers”. Leonids & friends are WORLD CLASS musicians, not to mention four vocalists who can sing it and bring it home consistently. Three men, and a woman who is as beautiful as her voice! Keshnia (spelling?) They are all the Real Deal ❤ Congats Leonid & friends !

But it's actually a little more difficult to properly perform someone else's stuff -- especially when all you have is the analog recording (no chart -- make your own!). And you probably ought to at least attend a show before commenting on their possible (specious) drug use . .😉
I love hearing and seeing people like Leonid & Friends. The entire band is beyond talented and best of all, HUMBLE!! Unlike many Americans today, unfortunately we see so much entitlement and shallowness so it’s very refreshing to see people like this truly enjoying themselves and entertaining us at the same time. I absolutely love this band. I've been listening for over 2 1/2 years now and I'm always amazed at how great they sound. I grew up in Chicago and have gone to many of Chicago's Concerts back in the 70's and 80's and when I close my eyes and listen to Leonid and friends I can't tell the difference in 99% of their songs they cover. And as with many of the male fans, I'm in love with Ksenia, the female vocalist. She reminds me of a female singer I had in my band back in early to mid 70's, I loved singing with her. :) 💋❤🌹 Thank you Leonid for all your fantastic music. Play on brothers and sisters.

Fans of this band will notice that Serge, their bandmate/vocalist from Kyiv, recorded from a separate studio for years following the Russian invasion of Crimea and eastern Ukraine. Since the Russian invasion of Feb. 2022, he has not been with the band at all, and has spoken out passionately on many US and international news programs against the tragic invasion of his native land. Not a word from his band mates ... they continue to tour the US and, to date, have not been pressed for comment about their bandmate's predicament by ANY "journalists" who have interviewed Leonid or his friends. It's one thing to not want to get involved in such an ugly thing as the Russian war against Ukraine. It's entirely another to abandon a bandmate; not a word has been spoken about him publicly since the war began.
The clips used here are old as Sergey (vocals, long hair and beard) is Ukrainian and doesn't play anymore with them because of the Russian invasion (and destruction) to his country. The nonsense if transcription something any decent musician has. Steve Vai transcribed freaking Zappa, Guthrie Govan freaking Shawn Lane saved Levy Clay did this all the time for a living on TH-cam. Boohoo.
In their videos and in their live performance, you can tell they love playing this music as much as we love hearing it.
And their music is far better than the current music n songs in the USA!! I can relate to their music and they make me happy ❤❤❤

Saw them a few months ago in New Orleans at House of Blues! They were amazing!
As a musician what I find most amazing is that they are fantastic day in and day out, every show! You can see they love this just as much as we do!

Twice in Okoboji Iowa and once at Medina MN. I wouldn't recommend Medina. The venue is horrible. I'll be seeing them in Kansas City this month
