Hey Juju, I have a suggestion for the visuals of the game! I saw a comment saying they disliked the shadow effect. A solution to this would be lowering the shadow’s opacity, but making it do monster’s opacity is lowered in the shadow too. If I explained this horribly, just play among us with really low field of view and see what I mean
You really improved the game so much! but heres somethings i would suggest adding -Update the player sprite -Try and add the lights again i think it would also look cool if you could see the lights on the roof but make them transparent so the player can still see under them -im assuming the item holding is not finished but maybe add an inventory/backpack and special player sprites for carrying different items
i think adding a inventory and maybe some hints of you need to get something like for breaking down the boards and the inventory simply for items like the big board and divers helmet which are big. and he editing quality on these videos are getting way better keep it up!
I fell like the one issue I have with the new version is that it feels less random and surprising. All the items specifically spawn in certain rooms which makes it so that they’re always expected to be in there when you find it. And knowing that the entity will spawn when you find the hammer makes the player are prepared for it. I feel like the first few times the player plays it might be cool fun and surprising. But after a while it may get repetitive. So maybe add something to constantly keep the player coming back. Or just make items and monsters spawn more randomly around the map and not just in dungeons. Also cannot all exits require a hammer plz.(Not hate btw your game is awesome👍)
If I could suggest anything to this game, I would suggest more options, such as being able to throw your almond water to potentially stun the bacteria monster, or to be able to swing the hammer as a terrible way to get distance on the bacteria. on top of that, it could be interesting to be able to escape it's line of sight and run away so that if you go into one dungeon without it's required Item, it won't be waiting for you at the exit, softlocking you. plus it would be interesting to try and sneak around the thing. basically, I want more ways to fight back while still feeling terrifying. also, maybe some small inventory system so that everything isn't just stacked on your head. Beyond suggestions, good stuff. I can't wait to see what's next for this project.
Please add an option to disable the lighting effect, it's cool but it's kinda annoying and distracting. Also add a level select because it's annoying starting at level 0 every time I open the app. I wouldn't even mind paying for these two things as a premium version.
Thanks for the feedback on the lighting effect! I do agree that it's strong; I wanted to keep a horror and tense atmosphere around the game which also included not being able to see through walls (and the whole environment around you) which is why it's so strong, but I'll experiment with lowering the opacity. In the next devlog if a lot of people request it (which it looks like a lot of people do) :)

Can you add checkpoints to your game backrooms 2D plz, and here's why: first of all it's sometimes really annoying when you have to complete a really hard Maze or puzzle or something and then the monster just kills you and then you restart all the way back even though you put all of your effort to beating all of the levels (i meant to say that when you leave it restarts)

I have some critiques I believe you could build on from this game. 1. I believe the Bacteria should spawn after a set amount of time instead of picking up the hammer, makes the game more fun earlier. 2. Please bring back the old pitfalls, it felt much more like a balancing challenge and made it less like a "walking sim" Still have the plank thing but make the plank placement before the other pitfalls so you can balance your way across. 3. If the maze is finite and it isn't big at all anymore, could you take away the arrow thing where it points out where the exit is (Don't know if you already took this away) 4. Helmet, just scale it down 5. For the hammer I'm fine with how it is, but if it's possible, would you create an animation for the player actually carrying it. (This is the least of my worries) If you read this I'd like to say thank you for at least considering my review and I love your content and games and only want to see it get better. The entity jumpscares should be animated, would make it look more sweet and polished. For the bacteria you can make it so that it grabs your face or smth

Its good now! The skipping is back! I've just finished it and I had very good time. Byt can you add more nights to the FNAF 2D? And just one question. Why on some levels I've never had encounter with entity? Like in the second one or in the office. Because I remember that in the 2nd level there were so much of that goofy ahh dog things but now I haven't meet any.
I suggest for level fun to have an option to eat the cake and which would kill you, because funny. I suggest making partypoopers take you to an exit instead of dying to a partygoer. But you can choose to now follow the partypooper if you want to go to diff level than the exit the pp is taking you
I think it would be cool if you added a yellow filter to level 0 of the backrooms, because level 0 is most known for its very yellow lighting, but besides that, good job 👍
