Bought my last Ford model in 1982. The year I bought was a 1934 model year. And it was a coupe. Still driving it today

2.3 turbo PLUS A DANG HYBRID electric motor and only 300 and change in HP & flb??? Or did I miss something? Turns out the Ecoboost 2.0 is a stupid great little botor. I bought one for my 96 ranger. At first I was completely happy with the motor and stock HP, tune and turbo. 2 years pass big turbo, injectors, one off plentum and a lighter flywheel and an aftermarket twin disc and I have no idea what it can be pushed to buy I have a great tune that peaks at 8k but I want this truck to last so Iowered the rev limiter, conservative tune 380 at the tires but it's probably capable of probably 500 to 575. We did take it up to about 470 and as happy as I was I knew if I kept it at a reasonable number I can have for for years as parts and technology catch up and then who knows the possibilities. I am not a "Ford guy" I love at least a handful of all three of the biggest manufacturers in America Japan and Germany. I am just genuinely surprised to see motors like the smaller EcoBoost the k-series put out power that was once reserved for supercharged V8s when I was growing up. It's an atrocity and completely Un-American that they never brought the bearer to our shores. God bless you have a good night I hope the next 4 years of your life is better than the last four of your life. 🇺🇲

Ford has all kinds of trucks, so don't know where it would fit... Old school car-based Ranchero isn't going to work

Eco engines - cuts emissions,, and process of making them pollutes more than diesels

They have to, either they make them with the hybrid ecoboost engines or they can't make cars at all. The emissions restrictions are insane.

Ford is building garbage motors and has been for 10 years now when they decide displacement is the correct item and not smaller engines with more horsepower because they wear out sooner they will not get 200,000 me they're lucky if they get 80,000 mi out of these EcoBoost motors that overheat that are impossible to work on that are garbage Ford needs to get their act together and people need to stop buying their garbage

That's funny considering the 3.5 Ecoboost is one of the easiest engines I've ever had the luxury of working on. Very simple engine and have seen many over 200,000. I'm sitting at 180,000 with mine and have only had to fix exhaust leak on the driver side that means turbo removal. Easy repair and easy to maintain
