"Shut up, Louis". Dr. Budd's wife was awesome. She knew her husband and she knew Dorothy deserved to say her piece; one woman standing up for another. One of my favorite GG moments.

This may not be the flashiest or prestigious show but watching these compilations brings such warm feelings. These women were role models to me as a child. When I grow older I still want to be as sweet and caring like my favourite, Rose, savage and intelligent like Dorothy, sultry like Blanche and when i'm ancient I want to be so confident as to not give a crap like Sophia 😍
Not prestigious..This show was nominated for Best Comedy Series 6 out of 7 seasons and won 2 consecutive not including Acting Emmys for all 4 Ladies , Directing and Writing Emmys and also being ranked in the top 10 all 7 years in the Neilsen ratings
This is why Betty White should be declared a national treasure. She is telling a story about her husband having a heart attack during sex and it makes me tear up every time I watch it
“ join the navy, see the world , sleep with Blanche Devereaux join the army , be all you can be and sleep with Blanche Devereaux the marines are looking for a few good men who have not slept with Blanche Devereaux ~ “
That line was thd climax of my young life! Im 29 and bought the GG Dvd collection when I was 22. I love these women soo much. The joy they brought is unmatched ♥️♥️♥️
Rose: The Men of Blanche's boudoir! Blanche: It's a calendar. Each month has a picture of a man who's brought some special joy into my life. Dorothy: Oh, Blanche, oh, honey, this is so thoughtful. Whoaaa! Blanche: September? Dorothy: Yep! Sophia: I'm surprised you were able to walk in October. 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 Sophia has no filter!
The Murder Mystery episode was always a favorite of mine! Mostly because I always hoped that, if I were to attend one of those dinners, I would also be able to give up the who, the how, and the HA! Also, unless they were included in the previous videos, two of my other favorite scenes are "It's time for Temple" and "Declare you incompetent"!
I think one of the many reasons “The Golden Girls” is such an enduring classic, is because the ladies didn’t fit the typical stereotypes of older women, with gray hair, sagging bodies, and stiff movements. They were beautiful, vital and enjoyed active sex lives. This show will never be duplicated. The writing was crisp, crazy funny, and ahead of its time. And of course, the “Girls” were amazing actresses.
And the topics they hit were practically a first for television and for women of their ages. They talked about racism, navigating the dating scene, problems with adult children(remember the episode where Blanches daughter wanted a baby?). Just so much and it's all still relevant
I relate so much to Blanche when she talks to Big Daddy in his casket. My mom passed 2 months before my 70th birthday. Dad has been gone for many years. That feeling of knowing you will never be anybodys little girl again is so wrenching. Other than my pupper I will never be as unconditionally loved as mama and daddy loved me.
The scene from 72 Hours made me bawl when watching that episode for the nth time now. Diseases really don't care how good or bad you are as a person. My father is one of the most wonderful, generous people anyone can know but he got diagnosed with prostate cancer which is now disabling his ability to walk.
I just poured myself another glass of wine and looked at the clock!!! It's 2 in the morning! I was laughing so much and enjoying these old reruns and clips of their show, I lost track of time! These shows are priceless and God love'm all! Those were the days.. Another year over, and now we begin 2022. Lord I hope this year is good. It's gotta be better than the last 2. Laughter is what we need more of... Please!
14:33 just had me in stitches laughing when Rose was copying the woman having a charley horse then hearing Dorothy saying "she has a cramp you peabrain!!!"
4:02 I truly love this episode cause I relate so hard. I has severe endometriosis and got passed from doctor to doctor (over 25 doctors over a span of 5 years) because they didnt know what to do with me. I even had a doctor yell at me, downplay my pain, say I wasn't feeling what I was feeling. I wish I could do what Dorothy does. Dorothy is a badass queen. 👑 and so is the doctors date
Powerful confrontation of Dr. Budd. So often doctors think themselves Gods and NOT healthcare practitioners. HEALERS. And it's always ok to say "I don't know, let me refer you to someone with more specialty". That's what they taught us in med school.
My favorite part of that vignette (which wasn't shown here) was when Dorothy was forced to lead the birthday parade and she whispers to Haha "Don't prolong this; I know what car you drive". 😂😂
Blanche.... Have you heard of the latest add campaigns.... One of my favorite Dorothy's comebacks of all time! When Blanche gave the speech to Rose in 72 hours Blanche was right
Bea's bringing the truth to Dr. Budd was so right on then and today as well. When his wife told him to shut up, I said "Yes!" out loud. Great job, Bea! ☺️
The scene where Dorothy lays into Doctor Budd is so cathartic. People are still dealing with this exact problem today, and all the Doctor Budds of the world are still assholes.
That moment that Dorothy had with dr. Bud is still a very real situation that takes place today. I had a talk with my doctor and the staff, unfortunately it did no good and they didn't just dismiss me like I was not important but they also sent me a letter telling me that they could not treat me anymore. They certainly didn't want to get sued and that was the reason for that. It was a very upsetting time in my life it's not the first time that I have felt the lack of trust with doctors. I explained the situation to other doctors and they told me that unfortunately there are doctors out there who do not care about their patients. The fact that other doctors admit to this is sad and it's sad that nothing is done about it.
I feel you. Same thing happened to me after I had knee surgery for Meniscus repair. My knee couldn't bend and was just stiff. I couldn't sit properly, can't even walk, was in excruciating pain and the doctor (surgeon) just told me to take pain meds and learn to live with it, saying that sometimes surgeries have complications. He prescribed Naprosyn and dismissed me. I was shattered. My crazy sister went to the hospital and caused a scene there lmao. I'm so lucky I have a cuckoo sister like her. After that, I called Montefiore orthopaedic hospital and the doctors there told me that they don't usually start off from where other doctors stopped but my situation was very peculiar. I can't thank those doctors enough. To cut the story short, the doctors first recommended they perform an MUA ( Manipulation Under Anaesthesia) and then another knee reconstructive surgery, and viola today I am walking. Took me 19 months to recover. (I actually started counting how many months I was immobile) Lost 2 years of my life because of a heartless surgeon.

Blanche's speech to Big Daddy brought a couple of tears to my eyes 😥
I feel ya
Mine too.."I'm no one's little girl".
"Shut up, Louis". Dr. Budd's wife was awesome. She knew her husband and she knew Dorothy deserved to say her piece; one woman standing up for another. One of my favorite GG moments.
💜
"I'll punch your heart out, Ha-Ha!"
I hate clowns too, Dorothy.
Haha
My favorite part was when the kid shoved a piece of cake in the clown's face & then told Dorothy happy birthday.
@@StayGoldenGirls Mr. Ha-Ha didn't want to get "f#$&%d" up..💯😐💯...
SO great
Ha Ha!!
4:03...what Dorothy says to doctor Bud is something I can relate to..I remember seeing it on TV and in various clips and her words have stuck with me because it's all true
"Shut up, Louis!"
The way his wife said it implies that she had the same experience and was given the same shallow advice as Dorothy, except it's even sadder in her case because that's her own damned husband.
I hear that.
If I were to run into a former teacher of mine from high school who said awful things to me, I would take what Dorothy said to Dr. Budd and tweak it to fit my situation.
Thank you Betty and all the Golden Girls for so many timeless smiles and positivity. May the Lord let us enjoy you all again someday!
💜💜💕
❣️❣️❣️💞
"I'm nobody's little girl anymore" As a daddies girl, this completely BROKE MY HEART. Reality is a cruel mistress sometimes.
❤️❤️❤️
..."And Dorothy is the oldest." 🤣. I wouldn't want to be Mr Haha if he had read off the age instead of switching it to that!
Haha
Sick and Tired I relate to this episode. I didn't have the same experience as Dorothy. I know how it feels to be sick and not knowing what's the cause of why you're sick. I'm happy to be better now.
*Sick and Tired episode
I am sorry to hear you have to experience that but glad to hear you are better
@@StayGoldenGirls Thanks 🤗. Im happy I don't.have to go through the pain anymore.
@@SNOWQueen87-v1g Glad you are better now for sure 😏. I'm still on this journey, pacing and enjoying what I can do,thinking less of loss of what I can't do. 🙏🏿
Blanche being sleep deprived is STILL hilarious to me . I can't not laugh when I see it 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂💚🙌
It’s my favorite scene! The delirium…😂😂

Dorothy lecturing the doctor about blowing her illness off really hits close to home. I've dealt with this far too often in my life.

"Not part of the show people not part of the show" 🤣🤣 My girl Sophia's life flashed before her eyes.🤣🤣🤣
👍💖❤️
This may not be the flashiest or prestigious show but watching these compilations brings such warm feelings. These women were role models to me as a child. When I grow older I still want to be as sweet and caring like my favourite, Rose, savage and intelligent like Dorothy, sultry like Blanche and when i'm ancient I want to be so confident as to not give a crap like Sophia 😍
I am glad you enjoyed
Not prestigious..This show was nominated for Best Comedy Series 6 out of 7 seasons and won 2 consecutive not including Acting Emmys for all 4 Ladies , Directing and Writing Emmys and also being ranked in the top 10 all 7 years in the Neilsen ratings
@@kdohertygizbur I didn't know that! thx
Coincidence?! HA! I can’t get enough of Dorothy 😂
;)
She’s awesome!
I don't think we would ever have this kind of quality, wholesome sitcom again...
I do think the good place and schitts creek have done it
It's like choosing which child or pet I love the best. I love them all. I love them all.
I can choose a favorite child….. a favorite golden girl moment IS impossible.
So so true
This is why Betty White should be declared a national treasure. She is telling a story about her husband having a heart attack during sex and it makes me tear up every time I watch it
Absolutely
“ join the navy, see the world , sleep with Blanche Devereaux

Rose: The Men of Blanche's boudoir!
Blanche: It's a calendar. Each month has a picture of a man who's brought some special joy into my life.
Dorothy: Oh, Blanche, oh, honey, this is so thoughtful. Whoaaa!
Blanche: September?
Dorothy: Yep!
Sophia: I'm surprised you were able to walk in October. 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 Sophia has no filter!
:)
That’s why we love her.
The pictures were of the crew in weird poses
Thats why I love Sophia! She was always my favorite
So good!
One of my favorites too❤❤❤
"Get Bent Ha-ha" is my favorite line in the whole show 😂😂😂😂
So good
Don't prolong the birthday parade I know what car you drive.
With that stare!
That bar scene with Blanche was the absolutely best 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
❤️❤️
What she said to the doctor. Needs to be said to every doctor. Much much needed today.
Totally absolutely
I think one of the many reasons “The Golden Girls” is such an enduring classic, is because the ladies didn’t fit the typical stereotypes of older women, with gray hair, sagging bodies, and stiff movements. They were beautiful, vital and enjoyed active sex lives. This show will never be duplicated. The writing was crisp, crazy funny, and ahead of its time. And of course, the “Girls” were amazing actresses.
♥️♥️👍
And the topics they hit were practically a first for television and for women of their ages. They talked about racism, navigating the dating scene, problems with adult children(remember the episode where Blanches daughter wanted a baby?). Just so much and it's all still relevant
Totally. So right
How freaking ahead of its time was this show!!! Bring it back to TV, we need to be educated! The scene with the doctor was particularly powerful!!!!
I hear that.
I could watch The Golden Girls all day.
I feel you.

I am so sorry to hear that is happening
@@StayGoldenGirls Thank you. Content like yours, and the Golden Girls are what's keeping me sane in these times.

I was able to relate to that scene.
I just poured myself another glass of wine and looked at the clock!!! It's 2 in the morning! I was laughing so much and enjoying these old reruns and clips of their show, I lost track of time!
I am so sorry to hear that. I appreciate you sharing
Thank you so much for showing these comedies. It makes my stomach ache with laughter. It's a wonderful feeling.

Bye to Big Daddy is my all time favorite episode. It gets me every time Blanche says Im nobodys little girl anymore. I tear up every time.
❤️
Thank you so much for the wonderful memories. We lost our last golden girl in Betty White. They all live in our hearts.
♥️
Powerful confrontation of Dr. Budd. So often doctors think themselves Gods and NOT healthcare practitioners. HEALERS. And it's always ok to say "I don't know, let me refer you to someone with more specialty". That's what they taught us in med school.
Dr. Budd is the worst
Yay! It’s my favorite when Stay Golden posts a new video!
very kind of you

The scene where Dorothy lays into Doctor Budd is so cathartic. People are still dealing with this exact problem today, and all the Doctor Budds of the world are still assholes.
Sadly.
❤️
@@FJB_USA_1ST omg!😱 I'm so sorry to hear that. These people just don't get it. If something is your profession and your passion about it, then your passion should include the clients that you work with.
I was hoping to see Rose's "I wanna live" monologue, and Blanche's "I went to senior prom with a Yankee" story.
Like we said there will be future rounds, we did 67 this grouping, more in the future.
