    Hii I got admit in SIU Carbondale in Health informatics course (non stem), so can I change to stem course after getting visa?

    • @nimishUSA
      @nimishUSA  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I'm not sure if I understood your question. When you get a visa you will be enrolling in that particular course, not sure how a non-stem course will change to stem. Maybe please elaborate more. Thanks!

    Is OPT (and it’s extension) given once a life or every attended degree?

    • @nimishUSA
      @nimishUSA  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Andy! It depends from program to program. You can get OPT again.. however, you need to verify the details first with the student advisor.

    Hi bro I had applied to MS construction management program in the US and I had been admitted also, none of the universities I applied showed it is a stem program but the US government considered it as a stem program it even had CIP Code so is that now stem program or not as it's not mentioned in university portal. Please answer this bro.

      Hi Chandra! The best way to confirm is to ask your course director.

    • @nimishUSA
      @nimishUSA  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I don't think this is an option. Your I-20 will provide details as to which course you are being admitted to. I would advise talking to your International Students Office for more clarification.

    Brother i have one query about STEM 2 year extension ..
    1.) I am planning to do Master of civil Engineering in USA and it comes under STEM course . So after completion of 2 years master degree so how i get OPT self/ through Employer.
    2.) Further 2 year Extension will be apply through Employer only ...??
    And what will happened if i have STEM course degree but unable to find a job related to my field..
    Brother please answer...
    Thanks in advance 🙏

    • @nimishUSA
      @nimishUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello brother! Thank you for your query.
      1. Good that you know that your course falls under STEM. After completing your degree you have to apply for your EAD (Employment Authorization Document) and will get 90 days to look for a job. You must find a job within these 90 days. In the first year, i.e. OPT you can also work on a voluntary basis and even be self-employed but you need a proper license for that and your business must be registered. Therefore, I highly recommend having a job through an Employer.
      2. Yes, for a 2-year Extension you need an employer that must be E-verified and this role has to be paid. No voluntary or unpaid work is allowed. Your job should closely match what you studied because this is another important requirement. The best answer to this is.. take your time to apply and look for a job that will match closely with what you studied.
      Let me know if you have any concerns or need more assistance. Happy to help!

    Is ms finance a stem course ?

    • @nimishUSA
      @nimishUSA  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Nawaz,
      Thank you for your question. My understanding of Finance is that they are not considered as STEM. They are Business majors. Still can you please send me the specific Universities you have shortlisted (if you have) so that I can assist better? Thanks!
