Same, I keep it unfolded and loaded by the bed. Having put hundreds of rounds through mine I know how capable it would be in a gun fight. 33rounds of hollow 9mm going through a very reliable carbine with little recoil is legit firepower.
I loved my first Kel-Tec Sub-2000 so much, ended up buying a 2nd one! Not one failure in almost 1,000 rounds. Both guns costed in the $400 range; unbelievable value at that price point
Mine rides in an EDC plain Jane MC backpack, with Two 33rd Glock "happy sticks". Extremely accurate. If you use it a lot you must tighten up the screws and fasteners every 2-3 range uses. It shoots dirty as it is a blowback 9mm. If you do not have the initiative or desire to clean and maintain a blowback gun do not cry if it fails on you. Mine runs 100% with only minimal cleaning and service. Deadly from point blank to 70m.
I’ve had mine for about two and a half years and I still like taking it out and shooting a few rounds plus the fact it compliments my G-17 is reason to keep it it in my safe

Drilled the rear sight. The RDL (rapid deployment latch). everything thing except a red dot mount. It's my traveling tool.
I’m temporarily living in an apartment and this sits by my bed side at night. It’s light weight and firepower makes it viable for my partner to wield if she needed to defend herself as well. I just bought one this weekend. Can’t wait to take it to the range. I’ve heard a lot more positive things about it then negative. The experts seem to approve of it as a decent firearm. I can definitely see making some modifications to it. Adding a sling, better handgrip….etc…
I bought mine in 2020 during the height of the pandemic and was shocked to find it. I had to choose from the G17 9mm and one in 40s&w. Chose the one in G17 and got it. It was blue label for $325. Hit bullseye right out of the box.
You almost have to trick them out, the factory version is like a toy that'll break fairly quick. I have 2 of these tricked out from M-Carbo, all upgrades, the best part is the 5 pound trigger which allows me to do mag dumps of 35 rounds in about 10 seconds. And it's a precision weapon with Red Dot Optic, outward Green Laser and super Bright Tactical light, I also have the Bufferless recoil stock, I only feel recoil during mag dumps....
Me too, I also have more than 1 from M-Carbo, I would bet anything the producers of this weapon would never own it factory stock, in fact you almost have to create a new weapon if you want this to be on par with some of the more lethal weapons. M-Carbo upgraded every component in my Kel Tec that was upgradeable, I didn't mind spending $1000 dollars for a weapon I'd feel comfortable with in a war zone, my Kel Tec has been modified into somewhat of an assault rifle, very offensive weapon with tactical blinding lights with outward green laser and a Red Dot Optic for longer distance targeting. The factory version is junk, you almost have to upgrade this weapon, but when you do, it's nothing like the factory version, it can be turned into a weapon on par with a weapon in a war zone.
I bought mine back when it was $450. Ive since bought and installed the complete M-carbo internals. The swivel sight mount, and put a trijicon rmr on it. I keep it in an old school laptop case. This is one carbine I'll keep. Accurate, light, fast target acquisition. If they made one in .45acp I would get it and sell my beretta CX4 storm.
Drill that rear peep sight out to 1/4 inch you can acquire the target much faster cheek doesn't have to go quite as low... makes all the difference on target acquisition

I can't imagine owning this weapon factory stock, the sites that come with it are horrible, with that said, I picked mine up from M-Carbo with every upgrade available, I didn't mind shelling out $1000 dollars to make this a legit dependable and lethal weapon. I could never imagine using this weapon without a Red Dot optic, I also threw on a Tactical Light and Green Laser with a forward grip. I love using those 35 round Toolman Mag's, they're really light weight, they feel almost like a toy but they run flawlessly, I made mine into an extremely lethal weapon, my trigger is about 4 pounds, I can do a mag dump with a 35 round mag in about 10 seconds, this gun can be just a lethal as any AR type weapon.
Cool. I have one that got rebuilt after blowing in two pieces. It now, well , sits on the wall all tripped out. Brake , light w/ PP, vert grip, vickers sling, Romeo 5, and MCarbo stuff. M,Carbo has a complete replacement package for the trigger system , my trigger is a crisp and predictable 4 lbs. (they replace the plastic trigger with aluminum)
@@TiberiousGib I just spent $800 to get a sub2000 with everything but the kitchen sink already installed by M,Carbo , recoil buffers , aluminum feed ramps , extended mag release etc. And it was the best $800 i ever spent. Glock 17 nor Ruger PCC are my favorite or most prestigious guns, but they do have things in common, they're both reliable and use the same mags and ammo. In a place like Ukraine where missiles and artillery get the headlines but ultimately it's going to take ground troops to win the war, imagine if there were 2+ million people with Glock 17s and a compatible PCC as 18 year old Russians walked through villages and eventually concentrated urban areas. Pungy sticks and tunnels chased American morale out of Vietnam, I'm pretty sure it'd be a bit unnerving to a Russian soldier knowing there's a high percentage of non-military Ukrainians carrying in less than 20 pounds a rifle, a pistol and a few hundred rounds of 9mm hollow point.
