The first time I heard the Byrds sing Turn! Turn! Turn! as a 12 year old in 1965, I knew I had heard the best recording I would ever hear in my life. 58 years later, i still feel the same way. I've been a Byrds and Roger McGuinn fan ever since. In April of next year I'm finally going to go see him in concert in Saratoga, CA. I have never looked forward to a concert as much as this upcoming one. Roger, keep up the great music and yours and Camilla's great life together. Look forward to meeting you both
Saw Roger twice in the last 3 weeks. Still a magical performer and effortless guitarist. And his wife, Camilla, who we met at both concerts is just a warm, generous person and is just a joy. Very emotional show for me.
I saw Roger live and got to meet and take a selfie with his lovely wife Camilla in Grass Valley, CA two weeks ago!! Such a magical concert experience!!
I met Camilla as well and kept in touch with her over the next couple of weeks as I had a vintage radio I wanted to give Roger. When they were down in Los Angeles on May 4, we went to see him again and Camilla and I spoke again. This second concert was even better than the first because the sound was much brighter and the 12 string Ric sounded exactly as it had nearly 60 years ago. Nice piece...I had the pleasure of doing a phone interview with Roger several years ago & he couldnt have been friendlier or more approachable..an enormous talent & influence on every generation of musician that followed him...
Roger is a total badass and so were The Byrds. What a legacy. I would love to sit him down for a few hours to do a complete oral history. The Byrds rank right up there with the Beatles and the Stones.
I love this guy: he abd Gen Clark were trhe best of all: his 12 string Rickenbaxker and Genes voice were a golden couple. Greetings from Arnhem/Holland/Europe

@@robbrown4621 I saw Clark perform in a small bar here in Upstate NY not long before he passed away..he was sick ,stooped over snd on pain but he delivered...One of my top three songwriters...i also saw Roger twice ,both good shows.

On my copy of the Mr. Tambourine Man album, on the B&W photo on the back side where The Byrds are onstage at Ciro’s with Dylan, right across McGuinn’s chest, I wrote “GOD”. When I got to college, my roommate saw that and said, “You’re nuts.” No…my roommate was nuts. 😎
i loved the byrds music, turn turn turn , eight miles high, were my favorite, i also did drugs in school and in work , but the holy spirit poured over me with the fire of his presence and set my feet on a new path. remember the scripture, jesus said i come that they may have life, and have it to the full, john 10 .10 at 81 may you be like Moses. he was 120 .his eye was not weak nor his strength gone, deuteronomy 34, 7 brother roger god bless you and your family.
