Hi Professor Wight, Can you tell me which textbook (author, edition )you're using to create these chem 2 videos? I know a lot of gen chem textbooks do not mention or going into too much detail about 'steady state approximation' and transition state theory with velocity factor rate constant, etc and several other gen chem 2 concepts you pointed out on many other topics in your video series. . Nonetheless great job and please let me know which textbook and if which text is adopted at the "University of Utah' Thanks!!! - B.V.
www.khanacademy.org/science/chemistry/chem-kinetics/arrhenius-equation/v/mechanisms-and-the-rate-determining-step Check out this question. You'll just have to find the time taken to complete the elementary step. The one which takes more time is the RDS.
What is rate law for coordination compounds????
