I must be all thumbs. It took me 30 min to set the first time with the baffle but I think it was because the ti sheet was rolled tighter than the end plates. 🤣 I'm sure I can get it down to just a few minutes with experience. To roll the chimney, I found that using a 2" pool noodle was perfect to roll it by myself so that part was actually quite simple.
I made a same shaped stove with the same kind of legs - only it was out of a trash can and so it was not long enough to generate enough heat. I posted some vids uploaded on my channel.
It's taken me 30 mins just to get the body together and it still feels too snug. It doesn't fit nicely in the leg grooves, when the bands are on, which makes the end caps not sit flush with the middle section. I'm not sure if that's a problem. I'll keep tinkering before I fire it in
Dang, I still can't get it to sit nice with the rings installed. I've tried several times but it won't stop bending the leg notch... time for a support email. :/
Follow up: I contacted them and they were quick to respond and walk me through it. It turns out one ring is slightly smaller which caused it to be too tight. Working with them has been great and they're taking care of me.
Interesting. The way the baffle works is very similar to an old school smoker. I really enjoyed the video. Take care
