Good video providing great information. Nothing like a true real time manufacturing tour. Especially when it comes from a world class builder like Riviera !
Appreciate that. Nothing was staged I was literally grabbing people off the floor for a chat and having a yarn. I mostly wanted to understand why their boats last in our crazy sun so much longer.
Much preferred Dan's tour of Riviera vs another one that's out there. Interesting questions and observations vs. pretending to be dumb! Nice job Dan and keep up the great work.👏
So Thankyou… but in defence of the other one you’re referring to I actually met them the other day and they are very lovely and genuine. I think they have way more mass market appeal than I do because I tend get more technical and drive every boat so I probably don’t appeal to as many viewers because of that. So I think they are doing an amazing job welcoming new boaters into our passion so I appreciate them for that 🙏 I do appreciate the kind words so thanks 🙏
That was a fantastic video. Always loved Riviera and always knew they were a fantastic boat and your video Dan just proved what I was sure of, thank you.
Wow, that's inspiring ! Put me down for 'night trials' sounds like a blast. Great to see a company nurturing youngsters with engineering & life skills. I remember Rolls Royce aero division sending us all off to Welsh moorlands with just a compass & map for the night. Character building. Great video & insightful 👏... 🇬🇧
The boss know's all of their names too. They seriously care and it was so obvoius when you walk up to chat to people (which I did all day). The overnight test with the designers and other team members is one of the smartest things a builder can do. When people get to talk from experience it makes future designs so much better. I have the same approach for my channel which is why I test every boat I film.
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife It shows Dan. I'm subscribed to a variety of high profile reviewers. Your videos stand out. You deserve to top them all with the quality & breadth of content you put out ... 🇬🇧
Very detailed, thank you. Will you be doing similar profiles on other builders such as Viking, Pursuit, Grady White, Hatteras, etc….? I hope so. Thanks again.
Columbia eh Dan? Watch out for those dodgy headphones....... got that girl Cassie into a world of trouble......haha. Great video and I did notice that everybody was still at work..... I do hope you mentioned to the design department our desire for the 345 SUV w shaft/v drives and starboard helm w/door..... cheers S
I did actually! Sounds like the focus for now is bigger boats. I guess the cost of production and labour is only going up so making smaller boats in Australia would be challenging. haha and Colombia because the amazing cost of living, weather and beautiful women... i... i mean scenery!! ... not the dodgy headphones lol!
I know they stay with tried and tested designs, but I’d like to see them incorporate more modern design cues. Combine that with the build quality and they would be onto a winner if they were a bit more bold in their designs.
So I agree with you. While I love the classic designs and clearly the market does too I just wonder what sort of sales they could generate with an new generation 3600SY with Twin Mercury V12's for example or just something a little more 'out there'. I could also imagine Riv creating a new brand and building long range explore style yachts over 80ft. I reckon they would do such a great job of that! However what they are already doing is clearly working....
This video is totally incredible and very worth anybody’s time who is interested in buying a yacht there’s only one problem I have you “mates talk weird. Lol 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
haha Classic! We think you guys talk weird though lol.... thanks for the feedback. I was hoping to try and show details that a potential owner from the US would want to see. We understand that in Australia as we are generally trying to study US or European builders on the other side of the world.
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife you’re doing a great job love your videos. Also, I would love you to do an ocean Alexander 100 sky lounge with engine room, details 🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@DriveSafeDon So I am in communication with Todd who sells them here in Aus so I will keep trying to get on an Ocean Alexander as I saw many of them in the States and see they have a pretty good reputation.
Incredible video of one of my favorite boat builders! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!

@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife Good Stuff and hello from St.Louis Missouri USA.
I was hesitant to watch this video because of its length, but the time flew by and it was very educational. Thanks.
Awesome I'm happy to hear that! It's not my usual style of video so was hoping to share as much as possible. Riv is doing such a professional job!

"another one that's out there" LOL, they turn my stomach.

It is nice to see people who have pride in their work and who are trying to make the best boats they can.
WIthout a doubt the most professional factory I've visited. And i've seen around 30 factories now since 2007.
Simply world class boats. Love going to the boat shows and seeing and hopping on board these magnificent boats
What an awesome company. Great place to work puting out exceptional products.
Loving you channel Dan. Keep up the great job mate
Thanks so much!

THEY SURE MAKE QUALITY BOATS!!!..I WOULD BUY ONE IF I COULD AFFORD IT!!!!🎉😊
Seriously some of the best I've seen so far. So would I
Fanbloodytastic, watched the nautistyles tour of this factory and now Dan's tour, why would you buy any boat other than a Riviera!
I actually got to meet Rico and Victoria last week. They are great people and doing wonders for this industry.
