    It's those little things in the OM6 that takes the cake for me! Say the OM6's quick vertical to horizontal orientation switch. It may look like just a simple feature but it's pretty convenient and basically a most used function.

      Oh please, I own the dji 5 and purchased the dji6 but returned it the following day. To rotate the phone 90° is done very quick and very easy just by grasping the phone and give a 90° twist. Dji fails every damned time, what is so damned hard about letting the gimbal rotate for infiniti from any three points. One can't add any accessories to any of the 6 model year dji gimbals. Not to mention the dji gimbal are fragile and very easy to break down. The kid in this video said the accessories and packaging are equal to one another, I beg the difference! Dji only give you a cheap flimsy crappy pouch and for $160 I expect much better product and accessories and they could have made the pouch out of high-end soft leather. The ziyun smooth you get a case, you can mount accessories and it can take a ding or 2 or 5.

    • @imyourocd

      @@Av8rThor I agree with you the last thing you want while filming is changing the orientation of the phone, it's going to be one or the other on each video!

    Seems to me that with the DJI, you could just flip the phone, and rotate the y axis, and then you would be able to do a 360° spin shot.

    • @michaelkiese7794
      @michaelkiese7794 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@williamfitch1408 the course of action in my comment above works. Just keep in mind that it’s not a full continuous 360 degree shot. There are upper and lower limits in which spin travel stops.
      If I had to do it over again, I might consider getting a DJI gimbal with its own proprietary camera, so you don’t have to use a smartphone. But I’m pretty happy with the OM6 with an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

    Two categories to consider adding. 1. Filmic Pro integration. 2. DJI ecosystem. Being an avid aerial photographer/videographer, it helps a bit that the file names and numbering with Osmo merge with my drone media, though it can take it too far, when you have to check the EXIF data to see what device captured the media. Other than one is @ground level, of course!

    Do you keep the exact same settings configuration on the Zhiyun Crane M3 ? As in since it takes a long time to balance the gimbal with a smart phone... and too much hassled to get it sorted out. Do you keep the same settings by not putting the gimbal back in the white zhiyun bag ? Because putting the gimbal back in the bag means you have to make the gimbal smaller which is then take out all the balance settings you had in the first place. Do you just keep the same balance settings and keep the gimbal stand on the table somewhere for next time you use the gimbal so that you dont have to re-balance the gimbal again with the same smart phone ? Just curious about this... Thank you

Example walking forward (push) taking phone from just off the floor to above you. Dji can’t do it. As to the spin.. how often do we actually use that? Portability doesn’t really matter they are both portable. The case is nicer than the bag. Smooth five easily wins in my book.

    How about a category for stereo sound recording? I still have an older Osmo Mobile. The main reason I want to upgrade is because one of the gimbal motors blocks the lightning port so I can’t plug in my mv88 stereo mic, or even a cable to remotely mount the mic to the handle. I couldn’t get a clear enough steady look at the Smooth to see if the lightning port would be blocked. That would be a deal breaker for me. In my opinion video must have stereo audio. If it isn’t possible to record stereo on the phone then I record it with a Zoom H4N Pro.

      No, payload. The weight the gimbal can carry

    • @fantasyskeep
      @fantasyskeep ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @SMARTPHONE FILMMAKING PRO that's about the dumbest misuse of a word to sound technical in any industry.
      Yall could say "weight limit" but some douchenozzle had to make it sound more fancy for marketing.
      The word "payload" would imply an output of material.
      For example the "payload" of an assay of ore is the pure metal recovered from the ore in a percentage.
      "This galina has a silver payload of 3%."
      Vs
      "This gimbal has a payload of 300 grams."
      300 grams of what, you pretentious twat?!
      Thanks for the vid. You should really mention the Chinese Spyware issues with the DJI products, it's pretty serious.

    Since the Zhiyun crane M3 i think only runs 8 hours to funtion.. i will only be using a smart phone and nothing else with it. If i want more power during a long live stream out there.. Can i charge the gimbal using a power-bank with a cable attatch to the gimbal and to the power-bank charger while im on the move out there ? So lets say im live streaming but i want constant power on the gimbal and also on the phone. I could attatch a cable to the phone to the gimbal to charge the phone battery while same time charge to gimbal with a power-bank.... So if i want hours of power between the smart phone and the gimbal. Both needs to have enough power... so can i charge both items at the same time while the phone is attatch to the gimbal? thanks
