Ben is a huge fan of the original Disney classics, so after watching the teaser trailer he is super excited to see this new Disney classic song This Wish! Wish is an upcoming American computer-animated musical film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The 62nd animated film produced by the studio, it is directed by Chris Buck and Fawn Veerasunthorn (in her feature directorial debut), produced by Peter Del Vecho and Juan Pablo Reyes, and written by Jennifer Lee and Allison Moore. The art style combines computer animation with Disney's classic watercolor animation. Featuring the voices of Ariana DeBose, Chris Pine, and Alan Tudyk, it focuses on a 17-year-old girl named Asha (DeBose) who makes a passionate plea to the stars in a moment of need when she senses a darkness in the Kingdom of Rosas that no one else does.
It is inspired by Disney's 100th anniversary, which ties together a major theme across all Disney films: wishes come true. Julia Michaels and Benjamin Rice were hired to write the songs for the film, while David Metzger composed the score.
Wish is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on November 22, 2023, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

They’ve blended the two styles using 3D planes and 2D textures on 3D objects it’s beautiful and never ever been done before

It's has been done before in many movies, such as spiderman into the spider verse, Mitchell's vs the machines, klaus, nimona, etc
@@jsostick not in the same way - I work for an animation studio, the one that did Nimona actually! :) they use DMP which is painted backgrounds but they have never made a whole movie like this! The characters are 3D but the world is a new unique blend of the both where it’s obviously different 2D layered elements, it’s beautiful!

Definitely the Style I remember in 2022 we got a 101 Dalmatians Perfume Ad Hand Drawn so Im wishing for the best with this

I'm excited for a good villain but it's too soon to tell. And I'm hoping there is some real 2D animation and not purely stylized 3D :)

im super excited for this! praying we get a PROPER disney villain! and i love the animation style!i agree, the fact they said from the studio that brouht you Cinderella, Lion King and Beauty and the Beast rahter than Big Hero 6/Wreck it Ralph/Tangled etc really has me hoping this film may bring back a second renaissance for disney animation! ♥

Julia Michaels had a big radio hit called “Issues” over here in the United States years ago…her songwriting has been praised by a few music reviewers I watch so I’m very hopeful! And excited for her!
Ahh yes, just listened to “Issues” and we defo had that song over here too. I wonder how musical theatre the songs in Wish will be… or if they will be more like pop songs 🤔
The animation with the multi plane camera was what I noticed right away.

-there’s Easter eggs throughout from previous Disney films.
Well, when they said, Cinderella in beauty and the beast, I’m pretty sure they meant the live action ones cause those ones had some pretty big story changes that actually helped it make a lot more sense so having people that can see/fix plot holes prior to its release is probably pretty useful 😂
That wishing room with all of the bubbles looks neat! It reminds me of Captain Neweyes' wish radio in "We're Back" :D
❤ I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS! ❤ They're FINALLY doing what anime has been doing for 2D animation for decades to re-invigorate the classic Disney style, and we're getting new and what seems to be great minority representation that isn't being dragged down or limited by legacy. ❤

I'm so excited too! Way more gorgeous than anything I've seen since the teaser for Encanto or any second rate live action remake! If Disney were smart, they'd make this film like we know Disney has been in the past. No modern messaging please! Just whisk us away to another world like you're known to do!

I honestly wouldn’t be mad if the villain became sympathetic at the end. I just don’t want no more twist villains.
I have high hopes for this Disney movie! particularly that it can being back 2D animation AND that the villain will die! (We need villain deaths back in animated movies again! Redemption has been forced too many times right now!)

Listen to the Jp Saxe ft Julia Michaels "If The World Was Ending" live! I really loved Strange World and I'm pretty sure many people only dislike it for the very minor LGBTQ+ storyline. I wasn't feeling this Wish trailer, I love hearing Chris Pine, but it didn't sell me a ticket.
