That’s what it was written for. To envoke nostalgia

I think one could renew the interpretation of theses by removing a bit of nostalgia, and as said Pogorelich, he said one should try to find something modern in a piece. It's not a vase of cut flowers, something has to be a live, and that's the genius of the interpreter, to surprise us.

I can't put into words how much I love the way you play Schumann pieces with such warmth and care. The way you play it just feels right, like you get every note to sound just like it was suposed to when Schumann wrote it. For me, whenever I think of Schumann, you're the pianist that always come to my mind, and I know for sure I'm not the only one who thinks this way. Hope you're doing great, and thank you for this!

I like your tempo quite a lot, it's not too slow (wich would perhaps make it too introspective) and also not too fast (wich would perhaps make it seem like a finger-exercise), simply beautiful Tiffany. Have been playing this piece for over a year and a half, and I think I finally realy have it 'down', recently also picked up Traümerei, wich is even greater to play than to listen to.

One of the best interpretations of this I've heard. You should record "The Poet Speaks" sometime if you haven't yet. Leave it to Schumann to say so much with so little.
