I was laughing to myself as you talked about your African Chiclids . Say this one is your favorite and this is my favorite and so on just say they are all your favorites it's a beautiful setup and awesome fish.
Nice set up bro...Fishes looks healthy and u arranged the perfect aquacascape for them. Now iam just waiting for Quinn's turn to show some updates in his classroom.
Thanks for the welcome on your other video. Not me over here binging the channel. That 220G is SICK!!! I'm on the 2nd floor apartment of a business and can't tell you how envious I've become of those who have a basement for large heavy tanks. I'm soon setting up my 40g hoping to condense my three 5G breeders (lol don't at me, I'm a tank maintenance beast w my small tanks)
I'm glad you bore from Tampa Bay Chiclids because I'm really close and I can pick them up I've heard some bad stuff about them so now this has reassured me that they're pretty decent , love you new tank
I see that you have many great tanks! Love Malawi. I got lake Tanganyika, it’s so nice. Maybe you can put some detail stones near the bigger rocks. I have that as well, it makes the scape perfect, more natural. Especially Dennerle River S, with Seiryu stones. Greetings from Holland
I've gotten all of my mbuna from tampa bay cichlids and was never disappointed, excellent customer service as well, where do you guys recommend getting shell dwellers? Want a 20 long with strictly shellies, thank you!
Nice rock work you made, Mbunas are fun fish. I have that 40G tank too, nice foot print. I just wish Aqueon made it into a 50G, 1-2 inches taller would be great, the current design has a squeeshed view.
Great set up. I gotta a 75g in the living room but i have 36g bowed with mbuna in the bedroom. Dont really have the room to go 75g in bedroom so im wondering if going to a 40g breeder is still a worthy upgrade. I think it would be 6 inches longer, give me that 18 inch width but it would be a few inches shorter but i hear length is better than height for their swimming needs.
That’s great! Nice set up. In your other videos. I wanted to ask what kind of pump do you guys use for your water changes, for pumping the water out. Keep up the great videos.
Really like your new tank, I definetly want to keep African Cichlids in a future aquarium, but as an ignorant on the african side of cichlids keeping i'm curious about the thing of overstocking, with this method don't you lose some of the interesting behaviours of cichlids? In the future will you explore also other regions of african cichlids? Like Taganiyka or West Africa
I have the FLUVAL 307 PERFORMANCE CANISTER FILTER - UP TO 70 US GAL running on my 40 breeder no problems it houses my ram cichlids I have Bolivian Ram fry in the 40 breeder
I have peacocks and haps in a 100 gallon I've got mbunas in a 90 and mbunas in the 60 mbunas the 29 gallon love the personality of mbunas better than the peacocks
I've been trying to figure out why I personally do not like the african cichlids and I think during this video it hit me. no plants. I love live plants and how important they are in the tank. and african cichlids are always scaped with just rocks. it's their scape I don't like! Is it really the only option with africans?
Can use limbs, wood (assuming PH considered). Can use fake plants, mod them. Move them around/cover the parts that look unnatural, but can be some work. Just a little bit helps it pop though, depending on the tank.
i wish i would have bought aquaclears earlier on in my fish keeping journey. I honestly don't care for the seachem tidals. The flow through the media is not as efficient as the aquaclear. Once fluval makes one with the motor inside the aquarium it's over.

Thank you! And agreed with that. Def would’ve done a 50 if they had it
Mabe 60 breeder
@cichlidbros like that light. Can you use that with aquarium lid? Is there a lid on that tank?
Good job 👏 looks 👍
Thanks 👍
Hi, I am glad I have found your channel. Where did you get the 40 Gallon Tank?
Could you mix them with jewel cichlids and firemouth cichlids ?

how many mbuna do you have in your 36 bowed?
@@colegleckler8464 I had about 10-12 in there.
Always love y'all's videos!
What sand did you use in this tank?
Thanks! It’s Carib Sea Aragonite Sand - amzn.to/3HhDP0P
That’s great! Nice set up. In your other videos. I wanted to ask what kind of pump do you guys use for your water changes, for pumping the water out. Keep up the great videos.
Thank you for following along! Here's the link to the pump, the Sicce Ultra Zero Pump: amzn.to/3ClfENH
@@CichlidBros Awesome. Thank you!
Was wondering what heater you are using with this tank setup?
Great fish room....do you have any links to the smaller open top tanks that you have in the room...would love to get something small like that.
Thanks! The shrimp tank is a Waterbox Clear 10. Can find it on their website!
Is that an aquatics fundamentals stand from Petco?
What kind of paint do you use to paint the glass ?
Welcome back to team mbuna. 😂
Haha, good to be back!

Just started my mbuna tank at christmas got 16 in a 55 gallon
Very nice
What kind of rocks did you use? Or where to buy them if you purchased them.. thanks
Where did you get the rocks?
Nice I also have a 75g African chiclid tank. Just like you, my aquascape is kept to a minimum. I even got rid of my 3d background.
Very nice
any recommendation on wavemakers for a 40g breeder especially gph wise?
Sicce voyager series. Nano, or the next level up
I have the FLUVAL 307 PERFORMANCE CANISTER FILTER - UP TO 70 US GAL running on my 40 breeder no problems it houses my ram cichlids I have Bolivian Ram fry in the 40 breeder
Would it be possible to keep the msobo deep in a 40 breeder as a colony?
Yep, it should. I’m going to upgrade this year since I got others along with it
What is the song you used in this video?
"Hiding somewhere" Also them being on the water line at the top of the 1 gallon tank
could've explained how it cycled so fast & showed us the inside of the filter! still can! thanks
How strong is the wave maker on you Mr 40 gallon and do you ever turn it off?
It’s fairly light flow. Keep it running always. It’s the Sicce Voyager Nano - amzn.to/3I1SPn3
Wondering what stand you are using
He said he made it
How much is the shipping and is it better then buying locally like is we online and is expensive to ship
This video should answer those questions! Why You Need to Order Aquarium Fish Online
th-cam.com/video/6WpT3GIvwk0/w-d-xo.html
Do you have a lid on this tank or just the light over it?
Yeah there’s a glass lid
Where can we get the frame which you have put on the top and bottom of the aquarium,
He built he said
Did you make any mods to the 110 hob?
Filter floss and bio balls
Pls make 4K content if possible
Also, love the channel and content✨
Helps me as I keep mbuna in a 125 too🥳
Which light are u using?
Asta 20 Aquarium Light: amzn.to/3x1aSDN
Did you build the stand for the 40g breeder or was that from petco as well? Also, did you paint the back or is that a black background? Tia
Came with the tank, but yeah I painted the back black
Dang I wish I could afford a setup like that in my family room
I have peacocks and haps in a 100 gallon I've got mbunas in a 90 and mbunas in the 60 mbunas the 29 gallon love the personality of mbunas better than the peacocks

Mbuna would eat/destroy any plants

The plastic plate hahahaha

The most cringe part of 'Gone in 60 Seconds' is Nik Cage doing that lol
That’s why I love it 😂
@@CichlidBros Great film, just makes me cringe up when he does that hahahah
The Jalo reef will breed like rabbits
That’s the hope
