I also wash every week but I’ve started a length retention challenge and I’ve gone a month without washing a honestly my hair hair feels so good and moisturized . I’m going to starte washing ever other week but I feel like I needed to wash every week bc of my dandruff but oiling once a week and sulfur 8 dandruff treatment for braids occasionally works for me , my hair stays moisturized longer with not to much build up and my scalp feels good .

I bought my professional hooded dryer at a professional salon store, because if you buy them online, you risk buying a fake one like I did. Girl my fake “professional rolling dryer” burst into flames with my mom in it lmaooo. So I recommend going to a store that sells to salons

It’s a good investment even if it is “a children’s toy” my sister just got one for Christmas and I think it’ll be good for practice on what to do with her hair! She’ll usually practice on me but I don’t want a comb tangled in my hair 😬 she’s 5 but still 😂

I did the same with leave in and wasn’t a fan with not using it bc the mousse made my hair too crunchy. I did stop using deep conditioners bc I saw a reel from a natural hair cosmetic chemist that mentioned that deep conditioners are just regular conditioners with added oils. He said all we have to do is just use a regular conditioner and process it for 10-15 minutes under heat to get the same effect. I tried it and it definitely works!
Also a fan of ‘white people shampoo’ it’s the only thing that cleans my hair properly. I use a natural hair shampoo as a second cleanse since they tend to be heavy in conditioners

No fr like we need those baby doll heads back that they had Barbie and Bratz doing back in the 90s/early 2000s because I used to practice my braiding on them and I'm good at it but I never tried to cornrow them because for some reason I thought it was so special of a technique that had to be passed down from one braider in the family to everyone else 😂 keep doing your thing Will. I don’t listen to the noise, I don’t care what the trends are, what work or don’t work for someone else, what’s all of a sudden “wrong”, what new product hit the shelves … I just don’t. I went natural back in 2010 and once I found out what worked for me, I quit listening and watched for entertainment and continued to wash weekly, do my hot oil treatments and deep conditioning treatments, my Aphogee protein from time to time, trims, and I wash n go because I’m just not going to style, not even a “protective” style. My hair grew regardless of the changing times and I’m of a mind where can’t nobody come in and tell you what to do to your body. The proof is in the growth and the healthy state of the hair! Your hair is gorgeous, I’ve been watching you for some time and you just have the loveliest hair ❤

I got a shampoo brush thanks to you because it sounds like our scalp issues are similar and it has definitely been a game changer. I wash my hair once a week and most of the time I couldn't even get through a full week without my scalp letting it snow but after getting the shampoo brush, I definitely get a full week's wear out of my hair.
Also I once again am applauding you for your editing and production skills. You really have an eye for captivating visuals!

I deal with fine hair also Will, and I only use a detangling brush for a wash no go, or when I'm doing a teo strand twist. So really just for styling. Otherwise it's a "swimmers comb" wide tooth comb or my fingers.
Also for wash n goes I use a göt 2 B "glued" in the tube for a soft but firm hold. That of top of my leave- in works well with no crunchiness. I can't EVER find the type if wetline that you use where I live and I don't want to order it of Amazon just in case it jacks me up and I want to return it. No product junkies in 2023.

Am I the only one who doesn’t use grease but uses oil? Like I don’t use ultra sheen or blue magic unless it’s the last thing I have in the cabinet. But shea butter? I will. Especially if I’m pushing off washing my hair because of time constraints. Or if I’m not trying to add any more leave in conditioner or gels to my hair 😅
