I love how he switches so quickly between the arguments "eye witnesses aren't reliable enough to convict" and "the presence of the eye witnesses caused the crime because they perceived it".
It’s what I always say, it’s only illegal if you get caught
Literally the tree falling in the forest argument
@@Gustobergnope
@@TBD98 LITERALLY
I'd argue there is a coherent argument here - if we know that eyewitness testimony is unreliable or biased, then the crime only exists in the minds of the witnesses and what actually happened wasn't a crime.
It's not a good argument lmao
The sweat-wiping really sold this...gave this man so much history
You can really feel how damn hot and humid it is in that courtroom
@@watershipdowneyjryou just know there are a couple ceiling fans that have been there since gods know where. Spinning just slow enough that they just make the heat worse
I really thought this was Country Lawyer doing a Blackface.
Good prep for the ulcerative colitis commercials he's doing now 😂
It’s the hair part and his glasses frames that made it so believable for me. He was the perfect one for this prompt
I love how part of this argument requires you to assume his client is indeed guilty. What an incredibly balsy defence.
He's complicated
That's not even defence at that point. It's offense, he's accusing the damn witnesses.
Maybe the prosecutor already had some crazy amazing evidence and already proved his guilt, so this is the lawyer's last attempt at a defense. Would explain all the sweating
@@AlphaSeagull The client said "I killed him, yeah".
It's a bold strategy Cotton, let's see if it works out for him
His argument was literally “whoever smelt it dealt it”
Whoever seent it deent it
Whoever found it browned it
whoever made the rhyme did the crime
Whoever did the rap dealt ze crap@@djrjdhthiwhdoe4365
@@djrjdhthiwhdoe4365 so you're confessing then?
Zac: I done went and did it, yup.
underrated as hell lmfao
Sirs, I did the crime 'n' now I gotta do the time.
In this case, I feel he might say "Yeah, they saw me"
Shoot, did I done fuck up?
😂👌
"We the jury find the defense thought-provoking but not very persuasive." 😂
That's what we call "shaken, not stirred".
“I ask you dis” gets me every fucking time
"In a worl'" is what always gets me.
I love Foghorn Leghorn
@@1st2nd2 @1st2nd2 The "juuuuhhreh" immediately hooked me.
“I ask you dis” = QED
the perfect prompt for ross
I love when you can hear in the contestants’ laughter that they’re thinking the same thing.
The other two knew it immediately.
It's almost like this is scripted for the players (which it obviously is).
@@tony_potsandpans have you heard of these two things called “improv comedy” and “editing” and the marvellous combination thereof?
@@tony_potsandpansOh yes, the outstanding and solid argument of "I could never be this quick and clever, so obviously this trained and experienced improv comedian who does this for a living couldn't do it either, must be scripted!"
If benoit blanc was a lawyer
literally what i was going to say 😂😂
It compels me.
I'm cracking up. I thought the same thing. Just re-watched that movie a couple days ago. 🤣🤣🤣
Benoit Blanc already feels like a Phoenix Wright character
Have none of you ever read to kill a mockingbird? He’s doing a literal perfect Atticus Finch impression.
"BISHOP BERKLEY" in this most amazing voice crack in history.
Referencing George Berkeley was incredibly based
The Devil's Advocate went down to Georgia and won themselves a Golden Fiddle.
Allegedly, Your Honor.
I couldn't write a speech this good with a week's worth of prep and Ross just full improves it. Crazy
He is ridiculous. In another game he and buddies did an entire 30 minute improved Shakespeare play, and another improvised decent songs.
This is like wrestling. It's only improv if you believe it is. They might get 10 minutes before the show. They might get a full week in advance to write their material. Heck, it might even be prewritten for them. We'll never know.
@@ignazioacerenza9881 It's improvised. You can clearly see this when there are multiple comedians and they are playing off each other.
@@ignazioacerenza9881I think it was a cast member of "Whose Line Is It Anyway" who, in response to claims that they had prep time, asked what that would even be. If this was pre-planned, what would be the appeal?
Just because you don't know how to do improv doesn't mean improv comedians are liars
@@hackbod Honey, they can set up a zoom call and go over the main bits and have each individual comedian prepare a bit on their own. This is not saying it's all scripted. It's saying that it's silly to assume it's all honest and above board when there's literally no incentive for it. Believing a pre-recorded improv show is fully improved is akin to believing wwe wrestling is 100% legit.
I also ask the jury, do they want a McBeth from McDonalds?
It is a meal they should wish to enjoy tomorrow. And tomorrow. And tomorrow.

I wanna see Ross and Brennan oppose each other in a court of law
I would *love* to see the improv of those two, in that scenario.
I think you just pitched them a show :)
@@TequilaMockingbird88 Dude seeing the Dropout cast do a courtroom drama series except improv comedy would be actually stellar
That would be a brilliant sketch concept. They need to get back to their roots, I love the improv, but I miss the old college humor sketches with Brennan
"Ladies and gentleman of the *_juuury_* " was so spot on
Jwuory
I think he just admitted his client did it
And Zac is the client
@@bicarbonat1 Oh no
Um, no, he clearly just proved that the witnesses did it. 🤔
“i killed him, yeah”
-zac oyama, probably.
Perfect reference 👏🏽
Not the phantom kerchief dabbing the stately perspiratory glow away
I never thought Dropout would ever have a guest that could rival Brennan, but Ross... man, that guy. I couldn't possibly choose between them, they each have their own unique specialties and they're both geniuses in their own right, but the mere fact that someone on Brennan's level not only exists but is also on Dropout is absolutely sublime.
The fact he could’ve gone the “eye witness testimony is not reliable” route but he chose to go down the one where you assume the client is guilty 😭
It’s a complicated argument.
“And the prosecution is now found guilty, of creating the crime” 😂
"and that only by engagement *_inNA WURL-"_*
He got that "I'm your huckleberry, that's just my game" vibe lol
Now I need to see him as Doc, damn it Shelby!
"I've not even begun to defile myself."
U look like someone just walked over yo grave
I was hoping for a proper "jurrreah" and the man did not disappoint
“we’ve been talking alot about what people saw that night” sounded like dutch
“Have you lost faith.. In me son?”
That was quintessential Dutch
I have the strangest feeling to go to Tahiti
This really is the ultimate “Get Out of a Speeding Ticket” argument. Thanks, Ross!
"I ask you this" my fav line
This is one of my fave bits from this show ever
Ross has quickly become one of my absolute favorites on dropout.
I love how the voice cracks get more and more into the stratosphere as the bit goes on
Felt like he was channeling the lawyer from the Bee Movie 😆
"Ladles and gentlemen of the JOOREY"
His words and cadence make it so poetic and satisfying to listen to :) and Sam's short high pitched laughing sounds towards the end are the cherry on top!
Bishop Berkeley? Bro knew idealism. Impressive 😢❤
I was for sure not expecting that reference
Esse est percipi, y'all.
I don't care HOW many times this is reposted, I will watch it EVERY time AND commet on how amazing it is !!!
The neck wipe gets me every time !! Bishop Berkeley, gets me every time !!
A southern man. His re-enactment of a lawyer is damn good. I applaud him
The prompt was so good that it alone got a big laugh before the bit even began.
Atticus Finch high on weed
ross definetly understood the assignment
Okay why does he look EXACTLY like a stereotypical country lawyer😂😂
The squinting and the big mouth, it just enhances the portrayal lol
I'm going to say it: that was Brennan level good
I love that we’re getting to re-enjoy all of these great Make Some Noise clips as they migrate to this new channel
I adore the alliteration in this one 😂 so many plosives
You know the bit is going to be good and Brennan is already wheezing before it starts
This man's talents are endless...
Ross's amazing but also whoever wrote this prompt deserves half the credit.
... Now wait a god damn minute...
Master Class. The accent, the alliteration, the speech and sweat wiping. Happy every time the algorithm brings me back here.
That genuinely might’ve been some of the most impressive improv I’ve ever seen
That finicky sweat-wipe was everything.
Ross absolutely NAILED this prompt! 😂
i want an entire show of this.
Sam reads these titles like he’s being paid by the second
He’s deliberately giving them an extra beat to think about what to do for the prompt. It’s improv, remember
@@TheElsMan i’m choosing to believe he’s stretching to fill time in the promotional youtube shorts if the actual bit isn’t long enough
@@mynameiskrystaTbf it's more common they have to cut down for yt shorts and the version on Instagram is longer
@mynameiskrysta he actually cuts out a good chunk of these bits because they are too long for TH-cam shorts.
@@SnowLily06 yea that’s why i said if

All lawyers do, sweetie. Aren't all pastors lawyers of god?
@@godoy_ uhhhh nope! A lot of them speak for Satan. Especially the ones telling people to vote for the orange one.
He changed gears because he realized the first argument was too simple and persuasive.
we HAVE to get this guy on Demension 20
slowly turning into Keegan-Michael Key
Ross is super underrated
Now...I'm not a big city lawyah,
Not even a big town lwayah!
Heck! I'm not even a lawyah!!
I can see the ceiling fan that’s slowly spinning.
Ross is amazing. Love his ability to adlib.
I’m living for solipsistic Foghorn Leghorn.
“Now say here, we do say. Ahem, I mean _I_ do say.”
You know the prompt is an all-timer when just reading it makes the players burst out laughing.
I felt the humidity when he wiped his neck. That was some serious improv
Honestly give him over I'll take that lawyer
Reminds me of my cousin vinny
I would totally watch that head-to-head, even though their best work has been as defense lawyers.
"Everything that guy said is bullshit. Thank you."
Dying. Sounds like he morphed 3 characters from "O Brother where art thou". Pappy McDonnell!!
That's actually a really good argument, and I can't wait to use it
George Berkeley reference was brilliant 😂
Ross and Brennan are the best at monologuing.
The second line was sooooo Matlock it's unreal.
This character lives in my mind rent free i need a whole sketch with him omfg
"By perceiving the crime, did the witness not create the crime?"
Is actually a hilarious line of thinking. Alao he is brilliant at the accent, the sweat wiping is next level 😂
Jesus God please put him in movies that was flawless
This man is without a doubt truly talented 👏👏👏
Always loved watching Ross perform in Chicago. One of the smartest performers.
12 angry men if it was good
Amazing prompt and delivery
I love how he turned into an old southern black guy
One of the best Make Some Noise bits ever
🍊: "I need THIS guy to be my lawyer!" * accordian hand gestures *
I watch this every time it comes through my feed.
Ross is actually brilliant in everything he does 😂
That went from country lawyer to "that black guy that tried to preach at me in the laundromat at 3am one time" somewhere along the way
Sam's little soft laughs in between Ross talking lmaooo
Excellent improv character creation
This lives rent free in my head God bless
this is truly one of my favorite monologues from Dropout, right up there with Brennan's I CANNOT WIN
Ross' Southern voice will forever be one of my favorites
He would make a great lawyer lol
This is one of my favorite videos of all time. Anytime I'm sad I literally play this because all I can think about is a bizarro world version of Atticus Finch In to kill a mockingbird and it kills me every time 😂😂😂
It started off magnificent and then the goddamn miming of the sweat handkerchief sent it to legendary
I love the fact that dropout has found people at the intersection of having a nuanced understanding of western philosophy and a love of making silly sounds. Bishop Berkeley LMAO
"By seeing my client commit this crime, did the witnesses create this crime" is the fancy way of saying, "Its not a crime if you don't get caught"
I mean this is pretty much a chewbacca defence which is an actual effective defence strategy.
Ross is so good at this.
It's so fucking funny for him to do simple country rules lawyer when he's playing TTRPGs
the sweat wiping off his neck had me, lmaoooo
If a tree falls in the woods, did my client commit a murder? I ask you dis
