This is one of my favourite Game Changer moments of all time (maybe behind the entirety of Welcome To Mountport) and I'm so glad I took the time to lean into the severity of the scenario before Zach drops one of the funniest non-liners on the internet. I really hope you enjoy!

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, zac oyama’s comedic timing is the only thing that can dunk on brennan’s instinctual world building
The bit works so well because of it though
They go together so well tho. Like chocolate and almonds
Brennan's ability to improv elaborate scenarios and Zac's ability to destroy them in an instant balance each other so perfectly.
Another good one is the "herstory" bit from the latest adventuring party

God the way brennan was just pouring his heart out to protect his client only for Zac to just mutter a quiet little "yeah i did it" and completely shatter his case like a Prince Ruperts Drop is just *chef's kiss* perfection

Attorney Tom has seen the original clip, and the fact that Brennan improv-ed a better and more accurate lawyer scene than most law dramas is amazing according to a lawyer
I was watching this thinking he was doing such a good job laying out the defense's story in the trial rather than making the argument right there (the most common mistake)

I love Brennan's realization that Zac is waiting for a better opening before engaging with the scene and finally refers to his character directly with a rhetorical question that allows Zac to crush the ball into next week. And Zac doesn't hesitate, doesn't overdo it. Just spikes it quick and clean.
Genius work by both.
One of my favorite game changer bits. Brennans ability to monologue at any time is amazing. And Zac is just a mischievous little guy.

From a comedy perspective, what I think goes unnoticed/underrated is the massive amount of trust Brennan has in Zac to deliver the punchline…
Brennan has no idea when Zac is coming in, so Brennan has to monologue (which he is incredible at), but he doesn’t have to go out of his way to guide Zac to a punchline. He can just monologue a generic lawyer speech and he knows Zac will hit his mark when he wants. Really small, but that’s what impressed me most
I knew Sam would be the judge, but I totally glossed over the idea of Josh being the prosecution despite it being obvious in hindsight
The Joshecution, I suppose?
“Your honor, my client is not under oath, and his statement should be struck from the record.”
Brennan's improv skills and Zach's comedic timing, individually they're already great but together, it's definitely one of my favorite interactions in Game Changer
It's also just "both of their great improv skills." Brennan did a great job communicating both to the audience and to Zac what the game was, and Zac executed perfectly.

brennan is a master of building a house of cards and zac is a master of using one little breath to topple the whole thing, and it's beautiful to watch every time

As someone who has only seen the gamechanger short I'm glad to see that Brennan spoke for almost twice as long
It's a full minute of pure brennanisms and Zac just caps it off

Zach’s superpower isn’t just his comedic timing, it’s how he can get so much mileage out of so few words.
Brennan is like someone who goes to the store, buys a bag of oranges, brings them home, juices them by hand, strains out the pulp, adds a little sugar, and makes this delicious home made juice. And Zac just kicks in the door like "yo I got Sunny D"

I love the tiny little micro expressions. Like, the way Sam ever so slightly nods his head when Brennan is asking for the jury's final input at 1:03 is SO good

Turns out Brennan's eye starts twitching right as everyone else laughs
I'd like to appreciate the way Brennan steps into the window light and then is cast into shadow, that's a VERY nice touch that looks so nice. The atmosphere of this room for this one bit is top notch

In the immortal words of Zac Oyama:

This man is just a goldmine of good wisdoms.
Of course Zach's part in this bit cannot be overstated, but man, Brennan completely understood how to create his dialogue in a way to leave space for Zach. He constantly paused for just a second or two at a time, not enough to ruin his own flow, but just enough to let Zach know he could jump in when he had something good. I could watch these two improv together forever man
What makes this scene so good is it goes on for just long enough that it can make you forget it's not a courtroom drama but a comedic bit, before Zac completely derails it.
Brennan's tie was such a great detail! And that one juror who looked like he was on the verge of fully losing it 😅

God, this moment is such a treasure. Brennan starts his court room drama level monologue, and keeps setting up moments for Zac to interrupt him. But Zac, being the genius that he is, waits until the perfect moment where everyone is tensed up, waiting to for him to interrupt, to deliver four goddamn perfect words. It’s amazing.
My favorite thing about the real clip is how you see the tension continue to build as Brennan keeps improving while everyone gives Zac the side eye of "when's he gonna jump in?"
This clip is the best demonstration of the genius that is the Zac/Brennan comedic duo. Brennan creates a perfect scene for Zac, giving him multiple comfortable entry points that are still solid enough for himself to continue going on from. Meanwhile Zac holds the tension for just long enough that all that's needed to break it is four words.
Chef's kiss. What a masterclass in comedy.
Brennan is a warrior, charging in head fast doing a set up before damage while Zach is an assassins striking when you least expect it
Adding the single juror that would've caused a mistrial made this a masterpiece. I can't wait to watch your future television show
I'm actually super impressed by how good of a lawyer Brennan could make if he had no other career option. Maybe a TV lawyer. Or a rules lawyer.

Zac one-liners are just so well timed and calculated, combined with Brennan's ability to monologue beautifully what a pair. Thank you for animating this nothing like watching prosecutor and judge absolutely lose it in the courtroom during a murder trial XD

As someone who just binged watched all of Better Call Saul, the cinematography in this one was very well done. Felt like it cuts to the jury and judge at exactly the right moment
The patience from Zach is inhuman here.
Just the Idea of the Judge and Prosecutor laughing their ass off at a defendant's remark whilst their lawyer dies inside kills me!

The sweating juror, the prosecuting attorney's expressions of doubt, Zac's nonchalant "I killed him, yeah." One of my favorite Game Changer moments perfectly animated *chef's kiss*
That little explosion of noise from Josh at the confession, like too much funny has happened too quickly and he's overwhelmed, is what happens to me every time I watch this damn video. This is a thing of beauty.
brendon just pulled out literally the best lawyer monologue ive ever witnessed in media just from the top of his head just zack to absolutely destroy it in 4 words- just brilliant, and the animation captures it so well

It doesn’t matter how many times I experience this clip it never stops making me burst out with shocked laughter. Zac never fails to pop off. Thank you for this gift enabling us to see this in the truly god level form that is your animation. This was a fucking delight.

Part of how great it is, is the trust. Zack trusts that Brennan will pitch him a perfect spot to say something, so even though the monologue goes on for awhile he doesn't need to interrupt early. He can wait for the perfect moment to come.
Zac and Brennan are such perfect comedic foils to each other. Brennan can monologue deeply and build a fantastical house of cards, giving Zac the time to find four perfect words to send the whole thing crashing down. Masterful

I remember watching this the first time on gamechanger and was like "when is Zack going to get involved, hes just letting brenan do all the work" but boy does he do a lot with 4 words at the right moment

Of the 2700 times I've watched this I don't know how I NEVER saw the eye twitch but here we are. And I am laughing.
The perfection in the timing, they say less is more, and sometimes it is, and sometimes more is more, and these times are not mutually exclusive, as illustrated here. Brennan set up the dominoes beautifully, and Zac hit them at just the right angle to knock it all down perfectly. Perfect comedic timing, and an amazing animation to boot
I know it would be a long intensive challenge, but I would love the musical Game Changer (With the baseball player, Alexa) be fully animated.
Or at the very least, Ticket to NoWhere.

This was so amazingly perfect that I honestly think Brennan legitimately got angry at Zach for a second. That’s how amazing and awful Zach’s timing was
there is something so very Lucifer-esque about this animation, in how tense the characters are, in how drab and dull the setting is, and how it draws attention to the faces (and Brennan's incredible tie), how well-composed the shots are, and then with one single line everything is thrown into complete disarray because /is he out of his gotdamn mind?!/ But it skips right over the confusion and straight to Laughing Really Hard And Hoping The Neighbors Don't Get Annoyed

I was just thinking the other day about how the first animation I saw of yours was the MBMBAM Porky Pig. And while it’s still good, it’s got nothing on what you make now. Perspective shots, detailed backgrounds, more complex movements, everything’s all colorful. Keep up the good work!

I strive to one day have the comedic knowledge and timing of Zac Oyama. This is to this day one of my favorite Game Changer bits. From Brennans powerful monologue, only to be fun down by one quick sentence. I love it.

I think my favourite part of your animations, and it's been nagging at me for a while, to understand what it is I like, is that the eyes move ever so slightly back and forth, because that's something people often do when they're looking into someone's eyes, and they don't commit to just one single eye. It makes the characters feel more alive in the scene, and most other people wouldn't think to animate that, including on like, a massive budget scale.
Ah thank you! Lovely to have someone explain why I animate the eye wiggles more eloquently and succinctly than I'm able to myself!
Ah! I thought this was a choice to give them horizontal nystagmus which I also thought was interesting and cool
