is it okay to have enclosure 30cm x 30cm x 90cm for baby/juvenil? also, is it still proper for adult? and is it better to put the enclosure at outdoor, so can get the sunlight and dont need uvb lamp ?
That size is okay for a baby, but they will very quickly outgrow it. That is not big enough for a juvenile or an adult. Here is my video about cage sizes: th-cam.com/video/9P0uSEoFxTA/w-d-xo.html As far as keeping your chameleon outside, it totally depends on what the humidity and temperatures are where you live.
I really wish i found your channel before I purchased the chameleon kit. I've replaced just about everything in it for my 3 month old (i believe female) veiled. But thanks to you I now have just about everything replaced with the correct equipment. humidity and heat are perfect, she has live plants and plenty of coverage. Only thing is i purchased the wrong uvb for her when i was replacing things, which leads to a question I have. The cage is 18x18x36 and i currently have a zilla 10.0 t8 uvb. I know you said its not terrible, however my problem is that I have to wait another week just to order the correct light as I cannot find it in any pet store around me to just do a return and replacement, so I'm worried whether or not two weeks under a t8 will be bad for her or if she'll be okay in the meantime while i get the money to replace it? Love your videos! I just have a quick question. Recently I’ve really been wanting to get a chameleon myself and have been doing a bunch of research. I’ve noticed there are a lot of opinions on wire vs glass enclosure. I personally am leaning more towards a custom cage so I can have a combination of both. However, I was wondering if I were to get a glass cage and added a small circulation fan up top if that would be ok. Of course I would make sure there was no way of the chameleon getting caught in it. Please let me know your opinion. Thank you!
It really depends on what kind of chameleon you want to keep as well as the natural humidity levels of where you live. If you live somewhere dry, but want to keep a panther chameleon you may want a hybrid enclosure. If you live somewhere humid, but want to keep a veiled than you may want to consider a screen enclosure. Lots of factors to consider. I think hybrid enclosures are the way to go.

Neptune the Chameleon yes I have watched that video. So I should get the reptisun 5.0? And how many inches away should the highest branch be from the uvb ? 5?
I wouldn't be able to confirm if a 5.0 is the right bulb for your enclosure without seeing it, but the 5.0 is the most common recommendation. This should help you decide where to place your branch: chameleonacademy.com/chameleon-cage-set-up-replicating-the-sun/
I think I heard you say 55-60% humidity for a veiled chameleon was on the higher end. Can you explain that more? The pamphlet i got at the store for my cousin's veiled chameleon said humidity needed to be 50-80%. Our veiled chameleon is still a baby btw. I'm so confused: (
D You’ll want a humidity range of around 30-40% during the day and 70%+ at night for a veiled chameleon. Unfortunately there’s a lot of incorrect info out there about chameleons.
I'd check out chameleonforums.com and look at people's build threads showing how they built their enclosures and what wood and treatment they used. I don't have any experience with this.

How do I get you to react/see my setup I have an adult Jackson’s chameleon humidity 50% all day and a spike of 70% on the top of every hour. Ambiance temp is 75F and a hot spot of 85F. UVB 15inch long liner Zoo med T8 10.0. I have paper towel on the bottom and change them every morning along with emptying out the run off water. It would be cool to get some helpful feed back on the set up my chameleon is named Charlie he is so sweet.

hi. i have a veiled chameleon and have tried live plants COUNTLESS times. she kept eating them even though she has enough water and her diet seems fine too. i now give her chameleon safe veggies and greens, but iuse all fake plants and honestly it has been going great for me and my cham. all her plants died because of her eating them and it really costed me a lot tbh. is fake plants bad? i've seen different arguments on that but its really working great for us. also, could you make a video about how to set up a laying bin?
Vincent Grégoire Definitely planning on making a laying bin video at some point :) Live plants are much safer ESPECIALLY since she eats plants. If she tries to eat a fake plant and isn’t able to pass it, then she can become impacted and die.
Vincent Grégoire Keep in mind there is no one way to take care of a chameleon. Just my two cents since I’ve seen chams pass away from eating fake plants.
No sorry :( I’ve already filmed all of my reactions and suggestions. Already working on editing part 2. If people find this helpful, I may consider doing it again in the future.
It's actually not :P I was messaging the person privately and they told me it was on the floor. Reason why it was on the floor was because the cage was too heavy to try and lift up.

any advice for a new chameleon owner?
Here is my video on what to expect when you bring a new chameleon home: th-cam.com/video/2IESxfzFnmc/w-d-xo.html. I also have a top 5 videos for new keepers playlist and top mistakes videos. Lots of content on my channel for new chameleon owners :)
Okay so I’m having a problem with not knowing what uvb light to get for my chameleon. The cage is 16x16x30 right now and my chameleon is only a few months old ( will upgrade cage when chameleon is bigger) I just don’t know what uvb to get or that I need. Please help
Right now I have the compacted uvb light that came with the cage. And I know that isn’t correct by watching your videos.
I made a video that answers that exact question: th-cam.com/video/5RVjgaLsWn8/w-d-xo.html If you still have questions after watching, let me know.
@@NeptunetheChameleon thank you so much for letting me know! I rly want his lil guy to do good : )
What kind of wood is safe for chameleon s
What are you using the wood for? Building an enclosure?
@@NeptunetheChameleon yes
I'd check out chameleonforums.com and look at people's build threads showing how they built their enclosures and what wood and treatment they used. I don't have any experience with this.
@@NeptunetheChameleon alright thank you!
Jake is my cousin! (And yes, rango is doing well)
Hello! I would love to know your opinion on my tank! I have my veiled chameleon in with a 2 tree frogs and a green anole.
For the frogs the tank is quite hot and humid and I want to know if it’s a good home for my chameleon. Please let me know if we could chat!
I would strongly encourage you to not have other animals cohabitate with your chameleon. If you would like to book a video phone call with me to provide help, advice, and review your care, please use this booking tool: neptunethechameleon.simplybook.me/v2/#. The times and dates are flexible so lmk if you don’t see a time that works for you. The chameleonforums.com is also a great place for asking/answering questions.
Sounds pretty good to me. I'd consider switching to a T5 5.0 UVB since those are the newest tech and standard for chameleons. Here are two great Jackson's care sheets that should help: www.chameleonforums.com/care/caresheets/jacksons/ & chameleonacademy.com/caresheets/
Love this channel and I love Neptune , I personally have a baby male veiled chameleon
💚💚 That's awesome! I'm sure his colors are going to look great once he is older.
Neptune the Chameleon yeah I bet the will I’m from England so not America but I love Neptune’s enclosure I got so inspired , you give him such a good life , my chameleon is called goggles because of there funny and beautiful eyes how they always move around! Love your channel keep it up !
Love the name 😅 Thanks for the support!
hi. i have a veiled chameleon and have tried live plants COUNTLESS times. she kept eating them even though she has enough water and her diet seems fine too. i now give her chameleon safe veggies and greens, but iuse all fake plants and honestly it has been going great for me and my cham. all her plants died because of her eating them and it really costed me a lot tbh. is fake plants bad? i've seen different arguments on that but its really working great for us.
also, could you make a video about how to set up a laying bin?
Vincent Grégoire Definitely planning on making a laying bin video at some point :)
Live plants are much safer ESPECIALLY since she eats plants. If she tries to eat a fake plant and isn’t able to pass it, then she can become impacted and die.
Vincent Grégoire Keep in mind there is no one way to take care of a chameleon. Just my two cents since I’ve seen chams pass away from eating fake plants.
Can we still submit? Or is it too late
No sorry :( I’ve already filmed all of my reactions and suggestions. Already working on editing part 2. If people find this helpful, I may consider doing it again in the future.
8:30 uhm miss that's a countertop
It's actually not :P I was messaging the person privately and they told me it was on the floor. Reason why it was on the floor was because the cage was too heavy to try and lift up.
How can I submit my set up to you?
My DMs are open on Instagram @neptunethechameleon
@@NeptunetheChameleon thanks!
My enclosure wasn’t in there 😣 will u be doing a part 2, to cover more of them?
Yes I will! Already working on editing it. The video was just getting too long to try and fit all of the entries into one video.
Are you responding to the emails bc I sent mine in but I did not get a reply or any response so I’m not sure if I sent it to the wrong email or not
No I’m not. I’ll try to cover the rest of the enclosures in a part 2.
I’m sad that nobody has Jackson Chamaleons 😢 but I’m happy that you uploaded a long video, very interesting and very helpful! Thank you! ♥️
Backwater reptiles is sold out of them. Can't find them. Ditto FL chems.
Ken Lapham I bought mine on SnakesAtSunset and he’s happy and Healthy
@@lmlxmiguelxlml5990 That's good. They seem to be very popular.
You're welcome! Also if you're looking for a Jackson's chameleon, check out the Facebook groups. Lots of breeders hang out on there. I have not heard positive things about Backwater Reptiles.
I love all your videos and I subscribed
Thank you and thanks for the support!
You should do another one of these
I've done a few. Here is the playlist: th-cam.com/video/WANDXbUkfFM/w-d-xo.html

Subcribed after watching this, thanks
You’re welcome! I have some other cage review videos on the channel as well. Here is the most recent one I did: th-cam.com/video/WANDXbUkfFM/w-d-xo.html
Isn't buying real plants from like home depot bad because of mites and bugs?
All of my plants get washed and repotted. Tutorial video on how to do that will be posted this weekend.
“Hi every booooody”😂🤙🏼
Thank you so much for the feed back💕 definitely will get more branches for Pascal...
You are very welcome!

Oh wow! What an offer! Feel free to DM me on Instagram @neptunethechameleon with a link to your portfolio or past work.
My enclosure isn’t as big as these massive ones you shared , but my chameleon is happy and healthy and roams around it freely.
