Ayaan and other immigrants from Muslim countries know full well that criticizing Islam opens doors that would otherwise be closed.
I'm one of the rationalists being a bit sad for the fact that Ayaane has got another religious virus 😏 ( *or so she says* ), it seems such a mild impalpable strain that this is not important per se; it's more about her statements that non-belief means nihilism and lack of spirituality. She's been close to great counterexamples , such as Dawkins and Harris, respectively for passion and spirituality without belief in specific supernatural entities, very well. Not to mention Dennett, who lived a life full of so many different passions and interests. And she *knows* that there are countless examples more.
That said, she's still a hero of mine and her battle is still the most important in the world.
I am from the same Somali and Muslim culture as Ayan, and I agree with her. Islamic ideology is totally against civilization, and it needs reformation.
Fact is Islam is more political than religious..it is a fascistic ideology and theocracy..The western society has to genuinely fight against this political Islam , must develop a masculine secularism where no space for fascistic islamic..it can not be reformed

On the 18th of March, this VERY week , i found out EXACTLY what Ayaan Hirsi Ali is speaking hear.
I'd made the big mistake of entering a fast food Halal(?) place, and wished the young male worker Happy Ramadan. I made the bigger mistake of showing empathy by saying that due to what was happening with the Palestinian People, he must have been sad.
I do NOT agree with the loss of ANY human life, and i don't wish to repeat what he said re:Jews.
Immediately however, he started off on this whole tirade about the prophet and his vision yada...
I told him, my God is Jesus Christ and that caused in him such an utterly extremely disrespectful reaction! I told the older man about him, and he apologized, but i realised he didn't mean it.
I've spent the entire day listening to an intelligent woman who'd i listen to a couple of years back, and i believed she was atheist.
That woman was/is Ayaan, who openly defied defied deadly circumstances and the darkness of Islam. Tonight, i feel like i needed THIS day to return me to my SANITY. I saw him again today, and i CANNOT return there although he opened the door. I could see that the clientele is mostly Muslim young men, and a few Gen Zers.
In my neighborhood i mean Obama's Daca dreamers & Woke . This is a WHOLE NEW ball game!
And I don't BELIEVE it's going to get better. Christian Nationalism is the wants to forget what the U.S. CONSTITUTION is ALL about.

Il existe une étrange incohérence dans la pensée de beaucoup de musulmans.
Alors que les réfugiés des anciens pays communistes savaient exactement à quelle idéologie ils avaient échappé et dans laquelle ils ne voulaient absolument plus vivre, de nombreux musulmans, sinon presque tous, veulent établir dans les pays occidentaux exactement cette religion qu'ils ont fuie - la même qui a trop souvent causé leur misère. On se demande s'il s'agit là de la folie religieuse ou simplement d’un manque d’intelligence analytique - ou des deux?
Avec tout mon respect, la situation déplorable dans pratiquement tous les pays islamiques (à l’exception des vendeurs de pétrole) ne constitue pas un témoignage crédible du Coran et de la religion du Jihad.
Face au terrorisme mondial, un monde sans Islam serait évidemment un monde meilleur, et tout musulman qui préfère de vivre dans un pays occidental témoigne - que cela lui plaise ou non - contre sa religion d'origine et en faveur de la culture occidentale.
La différence entre les réfugiés politiques des pays communistes d'autrefois et ceux des pays musulmans est que ces derniers ont non seulement la volonté de créer pour eux-mêmes une meilleure condition de vie, mais ont également pour objectif d'étendre leur religion. C'est la sixième colonne cachée de l'islam. J'ai vu une courte vidéo d'un immigrant qui venait d'arriver en Allemagne, pleurant des larmes sincères et disant : "Je donnerais toute ma vie pour éveiller ces gens qui se promènent sans savoir l'existence de notre Prophète et pour offrir à tous les avantages de l'islam." Si vous demandez à ces personnes pourquoi elles ont quitté leur pays et pourquoi rien ne fonctionne là-bas, la réponse habituelle est que l'Occident, avec ses colonies et son idéologie libérale et démocratique, a détruit les pays musulmans de l'intérieur. Pour eux, seul un retour au califat unique, avec l'application totale de la charia, est la solution complète à tous les problèmes. L'autocritique est une caractéristique inconnue. Dans le Islam le victimisme et le fatalisme sont la devise.
