Thunder Road, Born to Run, Glory Days, I'm on Fire: those all make sense when you are young. But this song, The River, Racing in the Streets, Drive All Night, Brilliant Disguise and One Step Up can only be appreciated with age and experience.
Bruce is such a wonderful musician. So many masterpieces with extraordinary storytelling. I think this is my favourite but there are so many! Racing in the street, used cars, the rising, into the fire, stolen car and I'm only scratching the surface. I think springsteen is the greatest songwriter of all time.

The all concerts he played in NY in 2000 are maybe the best rock concerts ever done In the same show you have The River Blood Brothers, Born to Run Thunder Road Backsreets Lost in the Flood Youngstown Atlantic City If I Should Fall Behind Born in the USA (just to mention few) Only this last show.. Then from the precedent one you have Racing in the Street Jungleland Point Blank Human Touch Sandy Incident on 57th Street Secret Garden Dead Man Walkin Ghost of Tom Joad Indeendence Day NYC Serenade Bobby Jean Ties that Bind etc etc Just played in a week at the MSG Its really a shame they only released a very very very small extract of these shows because all are phenomenal

One of my best friends & I were there at the Garden for this show, 21 years ago tonight, on July 1st 2000. This was from the final night of this legendary 1999-2000 reunion tour. I also attended the opening North American show on July 15th 1999 in North Jersey, the first of those 15 sold out nights at the old Meadowlands Arena, and also the September 24th show at the old Spectrum in Philly... His legendary 50th Birthday show. 👍
