You do a great job at describing Kathy Orta's Mini and the hidden hinge system she created. You do make it easy to follow. But you should give credit to Kathy.
Kathy Orta's "Hidden Hinge System" and Laura's "Stack the deck System" is used so much that I do not think people know where the original idea came from. Now people are combining and changing and doing all these different ideas. If everyone on youtube had to credit someone with every project they did they would have 15 minutes of just credits....
I just took the cards and cut them to whatever size I wanted the pocket. I only adhered the sides and bottom to the page to create the pocket. Once the pocket was on I cut pattern paper 1/4" smaller and centered it on the pocket.
I would cut it down to 8. I inch makes each hinge and then you have the 1/2" between...does that make sense? You can do a smaller one by doing that with no problem. You could also do a bigger one with more pages by scoring each hinge 1/4" and only leaving 1/4" between each page also :)
I didn't know it was her album when my friend showed me how to do it which is why I didn't give her credit because that is not who I learned this from and had no idea where my friend learned this. I did state that my friend showed me how to create this.
Thank you.......thank...you! By far the best tutorial I have seen and used so far.
Really clever album, love your page construction! Love these papers too!
You are a great Teacher! You are so easy to listen to and follow. Thank-you for sharing!
The best explanation for the binding I've found. THANK YOU!!

You can use Xyron or ScorPal. I have not tried the dollar store brand. I'm sure anything will work as long as it has a good hold for you.

thank you so much for this tutorial!! xx
When you score very 1/2 inch do you start at the 1/2 inch mark? Are do you start from the 1/4 inch? Hope this question makes sense
What is the machine to your front left?
Can you show how you make the little pockets on each page?
