Does this indicate that Cody was on Tatooine in pursuit of top priority droids, under Vader's direct orders, ("Send a detachment to retrieve them. See to it personally, commander. There'll be no one to stop us this time!") And then, amongst all this, Cody is in pursuit, although he probably doesn't realize it at the time, of the former Jedi General whom he (Cody) once served under?
Ah, Slick. He's a very misunderstood character. He knew that the Jedi were incompetent generals and treated the clones like cannon fodder. Cody and Rex agreed with him but did nothing about it.
@@vetarlittorf1807 The Jedi never asked to become generals. They didn't know the clones even existed until Obi-Wan discovered them and a rescue team headed by Master Yoda as well as a full invasion force of clones showed up on Geonosis. During the battle, the Jedi were dumbfounded to learn that they were supposed to be the commanding officers of this new army. None of them were trained to lead troops. Though after some time fighting with them, many Jedi formed friendships with their troops. The Republic Senate, Chancellor Palpatine, and the Kaminoan cloners were more the slave masters of the clones than the Jedi. They're the ones that saw the clones as numbers.
@@walnzell9328 So? That doesn't justify how the Jedi treated the clones. In fact, the very idea of cloning slave soldiers is just immoral. But the Jedi gladly treated the clones like cannon fodder, so it's only natural for the clones to resent the Jedi. You know, you gotta believe how much of a friendship Cody and Rex had. When Rex shot the disguised Clone (which was a droid), instead of raising his gun he just ask what is he doing

"Officially, there never was a rebellion on Kamino."
The Battle of Umbara is my favourite batch of episodes. It's so sad that Cody didn't question order 66 as it was given. Alongside Rex, Cody had more independence than the average clone, but we have to chalk it up to Cordy's personality and experiences in the war. Cody had a more rigid and by the book mentality when it came to the war, and unlike Rex, he never question what he was fighting for. Cody never was put in a situation where he questioned orders, so he never truly experience what's it was like disobey or look at a order as unlawful or wrong. Cody just took order 66 as it was and didn't question it, because that was just the way he was. We have to take in consideration that Cody never questioned an order when it was given and the inhibitor chip only strengthen that core belief. Cody is one of my favorite characters because he was a good soldier in every sense of the word and years after order 66, he felt terrible about what happened and wish had made a better decision showing us that deep down Cody was still a good man😢

Cody is one of my favorite characters because he was a good soldier in every sense of the word and years after order 66, he felt terrible about what happened and wish had made a better decision showing us that deep down Cody was still a good man😢
Rex didn't really question it either... Asoka got the chip removed from Rex's head.
Rex didnt question either, and tbf that was before he got lots of deptg
@@patrickjreidno Rex absolutely questioned it. He told ahsoka to find his report on fives before the chip took over.
Last time I was this early slick was on our side 😂
He was a true hero! SALUT BOYS!!!
Thx for the heart
Until he wasn’t
I’m always anticipating the Clone Wars to Episode III transitions in these sorts of videos, but they never fail to give me chills as all that story leads up to what we all know is gonna happen.
whoever made the intro should be awarded best cody maker of the year!
Didn’t he get rumoured to be in the Kenobi series if he comes out, that would be so cool!
Yeah, He gonna be Hero again, Good Man That Cody!
@@isaacrebellion9893 why thank you, Isaac.
I love how dark it gets at the end its traumatising specially the legends part where he could’ve been a dark trooper a cyborg it’s kinda sad
The zombie bugs episode was the creepiest and scariest out of the whole series.
Lol.. what are you? 5yo?
Reminded me a bit of the Zerg
Man I really didn’t need the dark cyborg trooper idea stuck in my head…that’s gonna be keeping me up tonight. Anything Cody always gives me the feels already…and now this.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine is keeping me up tonight lol.
This video should have been called “Clone Wars summary”
Clone wars seasons 1-3 summary
Cody was the clone wars
Where’s my Cody Star Wars stand-alone film.
If they’re gonna make a stand alone movie, make it about both Cody and Rex
@@shaulii6217 nah. Rex already got enough of screen time. His life is complete. But he could play a part in the Cody movie if they would ever make one.
I wasn’t expecting to ever be able to say this, but I guess it’s time to make a Canon one.
Damn that phase zero Storm trooper model looks so good.
Looks like you get to add more to your video starting at the end of this month with Bad Batch! Looking forward to it. Really enjoy your videos.
Cody's my favorite star wars character
Yeah he's definitely up there for me too. And thanks for that super! You're the first one to use that really appreciate it
I hope Disney finally gets a hold of themselves and gives us a proper Star Wars movie, preferably one based on Clones. Clone commandos would be awesome!! :{)
They still haven't used the untapped potential of a live action clone commando tv show
@@amildlydisappointingsalad6058 that would be awsome imagine 4 clone commandos like delta squad but with more free will a squad like the the bad batch
@@Devastator21 well they could canonize or reintroduce omega squad from the republic commando books
@@amildlydisappointingsalad6058 omega squad i have never heard of that care to explain
@@amildlydisappointingsalad6058 i haven't read the books that might explain it
Music to my ears.
I'm still holding out hope that Dark Troopers become re-canonized, particularly in the vein of "aging clone brains in droid bodies," especially since it might still fit into some "Dark Forces"-style story arc. (Even if Kyle Katarn can't canonically steal the Death Star plans anymore :P )
Dark troopers canon again. Thanks to the mandalorian
@@scottzummers2812 yeah but they never actually talk about what they are, we know for sure they are mostly if not completely machine. I feel like if they were cyborgs, that would have been mentioned. I wish Disney didn't take a bad ass concept and hack it to pieces, but hey, we all knew this would happen.
@@GTJproductions69x They said they are machines lmfaooo in the mandalorian season 2 they literally explained that the dark troopers are machines and showed them in action 😂😂😂
@@GTJproductions69x like idk what you on about but Dave Filoni did a great job explaining and bringing the dark troopers back
@@scottzummers2812 learn to read, what I said it's pretty straight forward
43:00 Same technique we saw to kill a crab droid in episode III. So glad they animated that in the Clone Wars.
It never ceases to impress me the amount of lore content from the prequel era.
OMG I NEVER TJOUGHT THIS WOULD COME OUT IM SO HAPPY
Epic chin
This was great man. Excellent interpretation and perfect narration on the story of Commander Cody. Keep it up!
Masterful presentation! Thanks for all the research and effort you put into telling his life story so effectively and in chronological order. 🥰
This was a stunningly good video, it was a horrific sad end for a beloved clone trooper, second only to Captain Rex.
I consider myself the worlds leading expert on commander Cody. I really hope they continue his story with the new bad batch series, as both Cody and the bad batch seem to be pretty close.
Yeah, they are alright, just wish they were more respectful.
The complete story of the Slave I, i swear every bounty hunter gets their hands on it.
42:58 Is no one going to talk about how Cody killed the spider droid the same way that one clone did in Revenge of the Sith
I'm Pretty sure In lore that clone was Boil.
Is nobody going to talk about how commander cody said "heck" he needs to go in timeout
I remember watching the even peal Episode as a Kid. It was horrifying. Chargers screams, Longshots desperate jump and one of them getting split in half. It gave me Nightmares
27:40 Luminara slowly positioning a b1 to be a shield while another b1 right in front just looks and fires anyway is hilarious
Best breakfast present ever, thank you Meta!
story of echo would interesting and what would happen to him in the bad batch
we will find out next year with the bad batch show
I think with regards to Rex and Cody's status as ARC troopers and their differing armor, Cody most likely shed the extra protection of the ARC-issue armor in favor of making his armor lighter to suit his role as a Sky Corps trooper.
The level of detail here is staggering. Flawless narration.
I've watched a good number of your videos recently and subscribed, and I'm did. Excellent channel! Narration and editing is absolutely awesome!
Thanks for that. I have so many more like this planned, working on Saw Gerrera part 2 now
By far my favorite clone. I can’t believe he’ll be in Kenobi. I’m excited even though he probably be the antagonist or something.
I am desperately hoping that Cody shows up in the Kenobi series and we get another poetic ending à la Twin Suns
17:08 why was Cody missing his visor, I never could figure that out
38:05
My heart just shattered... no... I remember this...
i know this is a video about cody but I just want to point out how echo's arch is so good... he doesn't get the usual "plot armor" once he "dies" here.he should be dead but is repaired to work for the CIS in a way that just kinda feel like it has a proper goal... great character
Why did you talk about 99 I'm seriously trying not to cry here
