Thank you, Kyle for your great DIY videos. I just made this floating tripod this afternoon and it looks awesome. I'm anxious to get it out on the water and try it out.
Just finished building mine, sooo easy to do, going to use it for underwater footage this weekend. Will post it on here if no-one objects! Huge thanks for this great idea!
Make sure you post the link to the sample video that would be awesome! If you don't mind also message me the link via Facebook or Twitter, and I will put it in the video description so everyone can find it! Also TH-cam sometimes flags comments with links as spam so when you message me the link I will make sure to look for the comment and approve it.
Kyle, Ive built my own great mount easy to build only two changes I would make to your video and that is to cut the pool noodle in half then zip tie it to the mount around the pool noodle. Taking the pool noodle off allows it to dry out better and it still floats well. also the pool noodle on the front cut a section out to allow room to tie a rope and you could tie that to the back of a boat.
Just finished building mine specifically for underwater...will post something once I get some footage. It took me ten minutes to build, what a great idea eh?
I've made one similar to this about a year ago. But ii attached it to a boogie board. This one is a little more compact to ii will totally try it. Did u cement the pvc?
Thanks for the great idea! I got a pack of 30 mounts off eBay, yet it didn't have something like this so i decided to make one myself! All up it cost about $25 AUD but i didn't have to buy any of the tools! Right now its sitting in my pool but i might gets some cool photos and videos of me and my friends at the beach!
Awsome mount im asking for one for crismas if i get one i will sertanly bild one i love padelbparding do you think i should get the gopro hero 4 black or silver thanks your my favorot youtuber
Get the silver. It has an integrated touchscreen whereas the black doesn't. The only reason you might get the black over the silver is if you plan to be shooting your videos in 4K. The black is also $100 more than silver.
I really like the super slow mo editing you use at 0:24. I have been trying to find a program that merges the frames together to get the super slow mo because it makes certain shots look so much better! Did you slow it down using final cut pro or something else?
i had a great idea i made this with my dad and i said it would be cool to tie a thin string to the front pool noodle and connect it to the back of my kayak so i did that and it looked sick as i paddled through the river
Well that just sucks... lol. I was thinking I was the first to have this idea but I see I'm not ;-) All jokes aside, great video and idea. You're version is a lot simpler that what I was planning on building, so I might just have to revise my plans, and tweak your plan to be a little more what I was thinking. Can't wait to see how this turns out once the ice and snow melt.
Awesome! it´s cheap and easy way to get cool shot!.. keep doing this! you rock! Be a hero!... btw check out my channel for good gopro videos surfing and skating
Nice design!! I've filled my pvc pipes with corks to add buoyancy, works pretty good as well.
very cool idea. I like that you sugested that you can flip it over to get underwater shots
Pure genius! Brilliant. I have that pipe in my garage! I might make one of these even if I'm not going to use it! Thanks from the UK. Karl.
thank you for the build video i took this to key west while i was scuba diving a a huge nersh shark swam by and thanks to you i got it on camera
Great build! Definitely using this on my next project.

Moving to Myrtle Beach in a less than 2 months. Going to have to make this. Hell, make good use of it here in my home state.

I slow it down using Adobe after effects, time remapping and frame blending
I will make a video about it and post it soon
GoPro Tips and Tricks Thank you so much Ill be looking forward to the video!
Love it
Hi! I would like to ask what is the size of the frame?
why there are 8 guys who disliked the vid??? this is a good tip man... (Y)
I made this. Great instructions. Thank you.
Can you use it at the beach
almost every video i give dislike, but this one BIG LIKE! thanks.
its a good design. Needs a waterproof Gymbal stabelizer though !
Why didn't you use PVC cement to glue everything together? Isn't it leaking? Good idea.
Can it survive to a wave?
(Filming/Recording bodyboard)
You should make a anker for swimingpools

nice! and we can also return the DIY for filming underwater ^^
Did you glue the the elbows to the pipe ?
+Tito r I was wondering the same thing, there is a can of glue on the table.
I think for the video he didnt glue it and he forgot to mention it maybe. But you have to glue it if you don want to lose your gopro
how many inches of the regular PVC. plz respond.
Blue House Films I did the math, using his specs. You need at least 70 inches of PVC.
If you add a little bit of weight to it, it won't be effected by the waves as much and it'll be steadier
Might Help to include a Parts list with your measurements :)
Other awesome!
where can I get some Gopro tips and tricks stickers
Hehe.. Nice idea ;)
Just put one together. My cuts on the foam look horrible :-/ Lol.. I'm going to take it out on the water Monday.
That is fucking genius! Thanks for this video
Great design but difficult to put into luggage....a more easier design would have been great however
Where. An i gets the sticker
Can
FLOARTING
Now we need a waterproof gimbal!!!
Make a review of the begginer gopro
Make a stabilizer/glidecam
Awesome! it´s cheap and easy way to get cool shot!.. keep doing this! you rock! Be a hero!... btw check out my channel for good gopro videos surfing and skating
This item requires three legs to legitimately be called a tripod. Thus this is a floating camera mount - not tripod!
Great device, thanks for sharing!
