I was playing this video next to my husband/care partner, and when you got to Ocrevus (the treatment I'm on) said "we murder the friends" he almost choked on his coffee from laughter.
Keep it up Dr. Boster :)

"it has the hots for your brain" that is the most beautifully romantic way to explain MS. Thank you! My white blood cells are feeling frisky 😂

My hope is that in the near future we wont need any of these drugs and stem cell therapy will be more affordable and is researched to the point where its a guaranteed fix. Sooner rather than later and we can banish this horrible affliction for good.

Explains why Tysabri was doing so well for me. I felt better on it. Biggest mistake i made leaving it. Ocrevus is great but i still feel like crap on it. more fatigued for sure.

    Dear doctor Aaron,
I appreciated the fact that ur probably the only neroimmunoligist. On this earth that could have done that in 5 mins plus using analogies!!!
Which make it way easier to understand.
    In closing .
    ~
Although I found ur video fun and interesting and challenging I as a ms patient & would never want to hurry the “dr Boster brain. “
~theres a steadiness , in the nature of how u practice medicine as a patient of m.s.its appreciated. I guess what I’m trying to say is u don’t need to speed up ur videos or how u think u are exactly who god intended u to be. Sure I’m just one person but I could speak for this village as I say we appreciate u and how u give back to all of us consistently. And part of that is how u speak .
Your a neurologist in the m.s. world that seem to stop and truly listen to us on the daily n we appriciate that in full.
    Sincerely
    Cynthia L.
    Aka
    Divine
    God bless
    P.s.
That’s less ⏳time🕰than a ted 🐻talk🎤 .. wow its now “mr super human Dr.B cause”
ur limitless :) well done 👌

Helpful! One day, I'd love to hear an explanation of how/why certain of these drugs create a PML risk, and what the mechanism is for that. Take care, I hope you are well!

Can you do a video about the relation between estrogen and MS?
In your experience ... Is there a relation between fertile years, perimenopause, menopause and MS activity?

This is excellent, thank you! IJust had my 3rd round of Ocrevus. I feel increasingly confident in this one. I get an itchy throat during infusion. Not painful or anything, just wondering what that's about? It stops immediately at the end of infusion.

This is still something on my list to discuss again at my next appointment end of summer. Thx for making these videos! They’ve been a huge help to me since you started!! 🤗❤️❤️

Great video!! Two questions (1) How does a virus get into the brain to cause PML with Tysabri? and (2) if someone takes one of the b-cell killers, how do the T cells know when to fight things like the common cold or general infections?

Thanks so much for this video Dr B It was really helpful. My question is why the medical community does not generally use multiple medications in combination at the same time given that they each have different functions? For example, I understand why you wouldn't bother building a straw house if you were building a brick house but why not strengthen the barrier to the central unit as well as killing the friends who egg the kids on to fight as well as building a straw house? Not doing so, to me, seems like the equivalent of offering someone the third best treatment for their illness as a starting point. Which, of course, has been standard practice in MS for far too long. Thank you again!

It great information about the treatment available. My only question is what is the best treatment for a person with xyz as opposed to a person who is showing symptoms abc?
Is there a better treatment for xyz symptoms or are the all very similar in doing the same thing albeit in a different way.

I really wants to know the nutrition related to types of meds
Currently I take Avonex med. I have its side effects including general pain in my body and some flu-like symptoms. The big dilemma I faced these days. When I care about the food - quitting out of sugar specifically and junk food - the side effects disappear amazingly.Does it really matter or those feelings just kind of placebo effect? .Also, I want to read more about Avonex and how it works? Do you suggest any book that disscuss in details the immune system and the effect of immunomudlatory drugs?

    • @kara7197
      @kara7197 4 ปีที่แล้ว

I have the same reaction to sugar, I'm mostly fine when I don't take any, and as soon as I eat it back I start having pain. I'm not on Avonex but I think sugar has a big impact on inflammation in the body. I also think that's why the Whals protocol or all those who claim to have "cured" MS with diet think it works, because quitting completely with sugar and refined carbs must surely have and anti-inflammatory effect.

I'm currently awaiting my second round of Lemtrada. I should have had this in February but unfortunately it has been delayed due to Covid.
My neurologist has stated that it is possible for people to only have 1 round. To be honest I've been doing great since Round 1. I've also heard that you should aim to have the two rounds within 18 months of eachother. I'm concerned that is coming up in just a few weeks for me. Any advice? I would normally just wait it out but I'm desperate to start trying for a family.

Hi , I'm currently in a limbo type situation with what medication I want to use, I was on Ocrevus for 6 months ago but I also started reading alot of published research that explained alot of negative type of research about this drug , like how it's kind of more of a"price tag " more than a great drug ! So my question is what in theory of course would be the most Safe medication? Because I see alot of negative outcomes, potentially for long term usage of this drug. I have a meeting with my neurologist soon and his personal RN said that my research does bring up alot of potential concerns so much so that she wasnt comfortable treating me at that time until I spoke to the DR. . She said there were alot of treatments. I'm kind of wondering which would be the most effective with the least immune deficiency. Rn I'm having aches , and small numbess so obviously, I need something soon ,just a little nervous ,on my decision. I'm not asking for anything but some guidance no advice or decision, I know that's against , z,"YOU TUBE" RULES.LOL THANKS .
