As someone who became Muslim after meeting their husband, I see where they’re both coming from. I just wish that before converting Nicole would have got the space and freedom to explore Islam without the pressure of them being together or not. I was only able to convert after I learned about the religion on my own and grew to love praying, fasting, and dressing modestly on my own terms in my own time. That’s the only way I think it could work.

I am an American and I have traveled extensively around the world and I had no problem whatsoever with wearing a hijab. The way Mahmoud operates is not how all Muslims operate. This is something specific to him. Many Muslim women don't wear head coverings. But Mahmoud insists Nicole must. Why? As someone who became Muslim after meeting their husband, I see where they’re both coming from. I just wish that before converting Nicole would have got the space and freedom to explore Islam without the pressure of them being together or not. I was only able to convert after I learned about the religion on my own and grew to love praying, fasting, and dressing modestly on my own terms in my own time. That’s the only way I think it could work.

Recently discovered your channel and love your point of view. That being said. Word on the curb is: TLC learnt of Nicole's previous marriage/situation. Then convinced her to call up M and under the guise of 'rekindling' their broken marriage, appear on this 90 Day series. 1) She'd get paid 2) exposure towards her future business 3) Build her Social Media by (constantly) appearing to be the 'victim'. This was NEVER about them getting back together. Perhaps in M's mind it was?
How many times did he tell us...she agreed to wear a hijab..dress modestly and fulfil her duties as a 'Muslim Wife'. Suddenly she gets there and denies ever saying that? She never had any intention of remaining with him. I wonder why TLC gives a salary to all the Americans on this series - yet their partners get zero but I digress. I cannot stand this woman. Once again....she gives 'Muricans a REALLY bad rep. Who decides to become Muslim..without SERIOUSLY studying all it entails as a wife.
She not only lives in La La Land (Literally) but at 38/near 40 - is the quintessential "Airhead waiting on an airstrip to land".

Edit: Does anyone know why all the 'Murican's on this series get paid, while their partners in often poorer countries do not? Then once the relationships dissolve and they fly back to the US...often leaving said person behind to repair sometimes serious damage done to their family/community.

I am an American and I have traveled extensively around the world and I had no problem whatsoever with wearing a hijab. Nicole and people like her are really selfish and their ignorance is beyond irritating to me. She decided to convert and her arrogant behavior is sickening. In America people like them are very entitled and they take that arrogance with them everywhere they go. I am of the belief that they shouldn’t be allowed to go anywhere because they are very problematic. As for the payment system I find it very unfair that the foreigners don’t receive payments. And I chalk that up to the same system that produces people like Nicole. To them there is no true respect for others cultures and they refuse to actually respect anyone else’s beliefs. I can’t stand them, at her age she is disgusting with her attitude, actions & behaviors. M. Should leave her ignorant but on the streets and not help her in anyway! Smh
