So....about that Kaleidoscope.... really trying to be patient, but you know we've been waiting one year and have no indication when it's coming or why it's taking a year. Is there a problem? We get that you guys are human and busy...but you so are we...and we're damn curious what's up. There's been no info on the site, Facebook or here...and then the Reverb page closed and no one returns messages. Just fill us in please. Thank you.

I knew of chris jptr from fb groups/youtube. Then got to know of ffx pedals thru chris, and the tone lounge thru frank. Now they're all in a podcast🙌

@@TheToneLounge i must admit the audio on the podcast is crisp despite being new, not surprising though

@@akrmfk Thanks man. After the first two episode I kind of found out how both our voices work and then dialed things in, hoping it would sound pleasant! :)

Congrats on your first guest! Chris' insight on the industry was very interesting to listen to.
I may disagree with his opinion on signature gear though. I don't think it's only a "kids thing" as Steve Vai, John Petrucci and many others sell a lot of premium priced guitars, which clearly are bought by adults. I do agree with the fact that adults are more likely to see through the "corporate glitter" and therefore look for the amp that Slash really uses instead of his signature amp. But a lot still buy signature things.
Question for the next podcast: Assembling your own pedalboard vs using a Helix or FM9 type of device. Which one you'd say is more reliable for live use and easier to trouble shoot on the spot?
I played at Skogsröjet this summer (a Swedish festival) and a few bands had major problems with their pedalboards so I'm pretty suspicious of them now (the pedalboard not the bands 😉). But I'd love to hear both your takes on the subject.

      Hi Antoine,
First off, thanks for the feedback! I think what Frank and I try and achieve through these podcast is to let opinions flow and let our guests speak freely. The cool thing about this is that we are bound to not see things 100% the same way, and this can lead us down some very interesting conversations (as opposed to debates). The truth always lies somewhere in the proverbial middle. I do agree with you, adults and more experienced musicians can't easily be fooled.
As per your topic suggestion? Absolutely! I'll add it to the list and we'll tag you in the video once we cover this topic. Cheers
      Jonathan

Isn't the Bad Monkey a TS clone?

Not exactly. Wampler Triumph is based on the bad monkey, and cheaper now too!
