Does it support other off-line mapping systems like Sygic? Why am I asking that? It helps if people don't know how to pre-download google maps of the areas they are visiting. And when mobile coverages sucks in the areas they are visiting.
I use TH-cam, Netflix, Here Wego Nav, Music Player, Samsung Music, Google maps, Chrome, Podcast Guru, and Android Auto to run some of this. My Android 9 inch screen/stereo lets me use any app I want and can download from Google store. I can connect to my phones hotspot and do anything I can do on my phone. I use voice commands as much as possible and I do not watch the screen while driving. I may try Waze after watching this video.
I use TH-cam Music and Amazon Music. Really no need to buy a Sirius XM sub. What's nice about TH-cam and Amazon is I can sit watching a game on my TV and create very lengthy and detailed playlists on my laptop that will appear on the music apps in my car. I like TH-cam a bit better because I can play on demand and skip songs. Whereas the basic Prime Music just allows shuffle. You have to pay Bezos some more money to be able to play on demand. Btw, Amazon Music is included in your Prime sub. So, if you do not have a Prime sub. Then I believe you can't do the Amazon Music (could be wrong on that?) Anyway, TH-cam music is better and FREE!
@@rp9674 I never use the phone while driving. I don't even have it turned on. It is off and in the glove box. Trust me, everyone on the road is safer from me that way. 🤣
I just got a new(er) vehicle and my old truck didn't even have a USB 😅 So this is REALLY helpful. I thought Android Auto just meant your phone could connect to the vehicle 😁, which it does, but I have a lot more to learn. Thanks for the vids!
I have a Toyota, when i use android Auto while listening spotify and I up the volume show me Paused, volumen Will not be adjusted. Do you know about that?
I HAD google maps in my 2023 RAM 1500 using android. Dealer did a software update for their bad breaks 2 months ago - POOF, NO GOOGLE MAPS. I'm searching how to get it back. waze is still here and works fine. I'll look at your links to see if somethingnis there. You didn't mention the NAV name with the car - its worthless tomtom!!! I thought they died off 20 years ago!! And on android the full nav screen won't work - apple play it does - but not android. Thanks for the video.
all you need to do is wire your "brake detect" wire (usually a brown color) to a ground wire and you can watch movies or youtube while you drive. It all depends on your decks brake detection wire. Find out what color it is and disconnect it, then reconnect it to a black ground wire.
Only noobs who aren't really serious about music use streaming services to listen to it. Real music buffs download their own and amass huge collections. I have over 36,000 full albums in both flac and mp3 format and a 4 terabyte hard drive in my car that has thousands of albums at a time on it, no need for an internet connection to stream anything, no ads, and much higher quality audio. I put it on random and can hear thousands of songs without ever having a repeat for weeks.
This doesn't make you a music buff, or some sort of smart person above people who use streaming services. What matters most, even more than the service/file stuff is the hardware. So what are you listening those files on??? Downloading music is literally automated these days. I use sonarr.
So basically Google Maps, Spotify and Waze... thanks captain obvious...
thats me
Thanks for spare my time
For real how was this a video? 😂🤷
Y'all some haters.
😂😂😂😂
