With one over hand knot at the bottom of that, does that loop hold under tension? Lose any fish do to the knot slipping ?? Just got my #single barrels that you recommended and got hooks coming. I want to get some mad up for the walleye run!
I can confirm that this works even on a Pike. I only fish Pikes but i didnt wanna buy carbon and some super expensice pieces. Yes the stigner line is a normal nylon line BUT it is a secondary hook on your bait and not the primary that is one metal piece thingy with weight. That said I am no professional or anything like that, i just go and throw soft plastic lures and get Pikes up to 10kgs. Cant tell if this will work on double digit +
you attach your hook at one end of the 8in long line. the other end you slide your sleeve through. Then create the loop and tie your knot. The diameter of the line and the knot is enough to not slide through the sleeve. Hope this helps!
@@justinkahler2807 It works great! I fished the fox over the weekend and it was all short bites as well! My success rates went up dramatically when I switched.
Plasti-dip in red is a very nice addition to making your own stinger hooks. Works very well holding your loop snug in place!

How do you attach that to your hook then? Couldn’t the loop open and come off?

Badger Sportsman Magazine makes sense! Thanks! I had a bunch of short bites this weekend. Going to try this for sure!
