    Just look at all them heavy duty bolts holding the heavy duty guard on give them 3 years and all of them will be to drill out when they snap off, you could get new ones when you are picking up the new batteries for the second time.

    17:55 - Of course there should be lots of room for you if the seat is all the way back. That's pretty much a standard for anyone. What about the passenger behind you is the real question.

    • @MikesCarInfo
      @MikesCarInfo  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are plenty of vehicles that are tight for a tall driver even with the seat all the way back. That is the point of me showing the potential leg room.

      @@MikesCarInfo What vehicles in that Sedan size this day and time or previous years are like that for a 6 ft. individual in the front seat?

      I would have to look through my videos for a sedan. Fist one that comes to mind is an SUV. The Mazda CX90.

    From everything I've seen so far including the MotorTrend review of the 24, the faster charging speed in reality isn't true. Bad like the 23.

    the annoying beeping is when he put the car in reverse was because his seatbelt wasn't on it does not always produce that chime.

      This car still beeps when reversing even when the seatbelt is on. I drove it for a week and it happened every time.

    Why not just lean forward an inch or 2 to solve the visibility "issues." I swear, people really just wanna complain about everything.

    • @MikesCarInfo
      @MikesCarInfo  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is going to take a lot more than just a few inches of leaning forward to see over that screen. Why design a vehicle that has obvious visibility issues to begin with?

    • @MikesCarInfo
      @MikesCarInfo  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When there is a clear and obvious safety issue.. like a problem with forward visibility directly in front of the driver creating a 20+ foot blind spot in front of the vehicle... then yes, I will make sure the viewer knows about it.

    • @jonjacob1962
      @jonjacob1962 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MikesCarInfo lol. They designed it like that so you wouldn't have to take your eyes that far off the road to see your cluster. It's basically a heads-up display. At least, as far as it's positioning. If anything. I would argue that it's safer. In low-speed maneuvers, you should be leaning and looking all around your vehicle anyway before moving it, and if you're not absolutely sure. Either get out and look or turn on the 360 camera if you have one. People just need to stop being such lazy drivers. This is not a "clear and obvious safety issue." People who think it is are the clear and obvious safety issues. They're the people who would run over their own kid while pulling in or out of their driveway, then blame the vehicle manufacturer for the blind spots. The people who refuse to take responsibility for their own actions. Or lack thereof. If you can't be bothered to lean forward a little bit, or if you still can't see even after leaning forward, then maybe you either shouldn't be driving to begin with, or you should look into buying a smaller vehicle with smaller blind spots. No vehicle has perfect visibility all around it...

    • @MikesCarInfo
      @MikesCarInfo  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jonjacob1962 A heads-up display doesn't block the view in front of the vehicle. Putting the cluster in front of the road is prioritizing the cluster over the road. Visibility is limited in all vehicles because of necessities like pillars. A screen blocking the windshield is not necessary... especially when it could have actually been a real heads-up display or just under the windshield instead of covering it. I am not sure what your motivation is to justify a poor design/safety problem(I have an idea) but, as a car reviewer, I am taking responsibility for making people aware of the problem.
      BTW, I like your framing... If I don't agree with you then I am just like the person that runs over kids and blames it on the car. It reveals you are not communicating in good faith. Manipulation and deception doesn't work on me.

      I just leased a new 2024 Solterra from a dealer 70 miles from my home and drove it home with no noticeable visibility problems. I've since driven it around my local area several times and still haven't noticed any problems with forward visibility. I am short at about 5'6", so maybe that's the difference? I also had to drop the steering wheel down to have a better view of the instrument cluster, but that was my only problem. Because of my short stature, I've always had to adjust my seat as high as possible, so maybe I'm just looking over this instrument cluster. Great review as always, Mike.... thanks!

    Not a reliable EV. Leased one a month ago and was so disappointed on charging time. from 5% to 100% took me 2 DAYS and 4 HOURS to finish. yes, 2 DAYS inside my garage. Rear window has no wiper and visibility is so poor during rainy days. What more during Winter. Could be dangerous. Has so many cars before and this is the poorest I ever had.

    As soon as I heard you say that it doesn’t have a spare tire, I stopped watching. That’s a dealbreaker for me on any car. I’ve driven for over 58 years and I have never driven without a spare tire. That tire repair kit is a joke. Especially for someone like myself who is in my mid 70s and has mobility challenges. Definitely a dealbreaker. The car manufactures are going to have to do better if they want to sell cars to ordinary John Q public.

    • @jonjacob1962
      @jonjacob1962 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      At 70 years old and with limited mobility, are you actually gonna get out there and change your tire on the side of the highway? I HIGHLY doubt it. The inflator kit would be MUCH easier for someone like you. They actually work really well, too. I'm curious. Have you ever actually USED one? Because I have. It got me where I needed to go much faster than trying to change my tire. They're much better now a days than they were back in the 90's and early 00's. Besides that, most new cars come with roadside service for the first few years. You get a flat. Just call them and they'll come fix it for you and get you on your way.
