Alleria is the Archer Queen (Clash of Clans) of Kingdom Rush. They both are archers, heroes, and shoot multiple arrows. The difference is that Alleria sucks, and Archer Queen is a complete meme. Both get joked on about how unreliable (and bad in Alleria's case) they are.
Ironhide has no brain for nerfing Alleria Swiftwind's cat on the Steam and Mobile versions. It's like they don't even test their game. They should have kept its health the same rather than nerfing it.
18:36 Quite sad to see one of my favorite vengeance heroes is pretty much bad but you do make some good points,I’ve been maining Tramin for a while now and i can see there are some more flaws that i also want to add about my favorite hero: 1.his flash bang is sometime hard to control because the skill animation is the same as his attack animation so it’s hard to know when will he use the ability on enemies that sometimes i just see the ability as tramin passive but with rng 2. His rocket barage sometimes doesn’t even deal DAMAGE,like i see his rockets hit the wizard golem or geomancer dwarfs and they didn’t even lose a health,like is this some kind of glitch or something? Despite his shortcomings i still find him fun to play and i really like his design,it’s nice to see your opinion about him and the other heroes that you mentioned (Thank you for not including King Denas)hope to see more of you in the future. Oh and more thing,I disagree with your take about his voice-lines it’s AWESOME 💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥
I do want to point it out that mirages shadow dodge seems to be intended as more of an emmergency button: were it's there more so to get her out of engagement if the enemy gets too close for her to be engaged so she can move backwards and still attack It's kinda simmilar to asra's shield abbility, were its more of a safety measure to warn you that she is engaged so you can move her before he dies due to it And alliances vesper also seems to have simmilar thing were he doges backwards in order to make distance by himself without needing you to manage that for him.
Yeah, but Shield of Shadows and Disengage both synergize with their respective heroes. Shield of Shadows lets Asra get her instakill off easier, and Disengage deals high damage so Vesper can deal with deadly enemies better. Shadow Dodge is just kinda there, and doesn’t synergize with her kit at all.

Rags hero skill is bugged in Origins. When you are in last wave and you turn all remaining enemies to rags, game will think they are "own" units and completes the level. This makes it hilarious and broken in certain levels like the first on in ancestral ruins, where you can turn twilight golem in rag and complete entire last wave without fighting it.
Ya it’s a fun bug sometimes, but on boss levels it’s still useless, possibly even more annoying as now you have a boss, a boss wave, and a random twilight golem to deal with.
I like KR vengeance because there's no bad heroes at all. Each heroes always have secondary or tertiary abilities to compensate for their weakness. Veruk is melee and squishy, but he has several henchmen to dead stop enemies. Ayra is typical squishy dps but she can instantly teleport to anywhere on map. Margoda has limited combat ability, but her bloodsucker allows her to fight continuously in a 1v1 battle, perfect to stall a tough enemy. And my most favorite hero is doom tank who, despite unable to block enemies by itself, can stun enemies in one lane and summon soldiers to block as well
The problem with Vengeance is actually the opposite-it has multiple heroes that are so broken that they immediately turn veteran difficulty into casual

It’s only 45 extra physical damage he gets, not true damage, so again it’s still high damage it still gets walled hard by armor, and unlike Eridan or Prince Denas or Reg’son he can’t regenerate his health quickly at all, so I still think he’s below Prince Denas, but it’s still a small difference so I don’t think you saying Bruce is better is a big deal yk.

I beat whole game using only kronan and I gonna say he is not bad. Tanks , some dmg, support mobs, and can dmg flying enemy. He is playable but just not amazing. I like him.
I never had too many issues with Bruce mainly cause he would just shred or significantly damage any enemy I put him up against (although the slow healing means he doesn't get to shine often) idk what I was thinking when I used Alleria so often when i first played the first KR game (probably cause I sucked at micro and melee heroes would just die too easily for me) Malik I would say is not too bad mainly cause of earthquake but Thor does have better base stats it's just that his stun is harder to control I only use razz and rags when I want to challenge myself Veruk stalls decent but needs better stats Tramin I just like boom boom doofenshmirtz goblin Jigou can tank insanely well but that's rarely ever needed in vengeance when you have op towers who can just burst down enemies fast enough good ranking tho 👍
GASP! No love for Alleria or Mirage? Those were some of my main heroes. They are ranged so I can just leave them in the backline and focus on other things, their DPS is great (for me at least), their high ROF allowed them to not waste that many shots, Alleria is super fast and Mirage can teleport. Mirage's backstab ability actually has pretty good range. And they are both really really cool. Yea they are both physical damage but that makes them strong against magic resistant enemies (generic statement). Also Bruce was pretty good.
@@endplanets I used to love those heroes too, but like, their dps is worse than every other hero. Mirage’s instakill chance can be helpful sometimes, but on average it’s only an instakill every 64 seconds, which isn’t reliable at all I’d say. Still fun heroes though.
Mirage can teleport around the map and use her lethal skill on large enemies. That's what she's good at and that's the only thing you should ever focus with her, on. Makes her very niche. that ability recharges what.. every 45 seconds or something? it isn't that useful and you have to micro her very well in order to really use it. So yes I agree she isn't good.. but if you're a micro-management god, she actually is a good hero. Still I don't use her, I like other heroes far better.
@@xenxander Lethal Strike thankfully has a 16 second cooldown, but due to it only having a 25% chance to instakill, on paper it’s only an instakill every 64 seconds.
@@anteaterhi I think that may be why I considered it a 45 second ability. The odds of it 'working 'when used, the way you want. Luck would play into her role too, as well as the micromanaging. Some heroes just can't even find a good niche like this, like Eleria (even the elf from origins was better and he was mediocre at best too)
@@anteaterhi Hmmm.. the dwarp is one of the best towers in any of the games. I think it rivals the tesla from the first. Sure it can't hit flying but that's its only real drawback. Assassin guild is totally amazing and even the archer tower's machine gun works really good for the price. If you think these towers are bad due to being 'awesome'? hmmm. They aren't broken but they do make you feel good using them.
@shantanuvarun9900 yeah I though so too but then I started playing kr 1 again amd honestly I liked it too I liked seeing my hero at front trying too level them up as quick as possible too help more quicker early. I really do like permanent upgrades outside of battles tho and kr always needs more of those so perhaps a mix of the two would of been really cool, like a separate veterency level only available in a level
@@khatogast6916 its too hard to implement. The game is already far too complicated. Its the most complex tower defense game series so far. Even first kr is probably one of the best tower defense game ever. You can still play it today and enjoy the fuck out of it.
Bro its atrocious. If you play on later stage or post game stage where enemies are a lot stronger, some weak heroes will find it quite hard to level up
9:12 I mostly considered it bad for the small moments you might need her for stalling, sometimes ranged heroes are gonna be needed to stop a deadly enemy for a bit to keep your strategy in check with the risk that isn't their best suit. It should be changed to dodge for ranged attacks and for melee she doesn't teleport instead she has the ability of Assasin's dodge instead. Giving her something in melee range, though I don't want a sistuation like in origins were because the dogde can happen infitently it becomes another form of giving the character immunity and superfical Tankyness they shouldn't have. So she can do up to 3 Dodges before it goes on a 8 second cooldown.(should be enough to be risking herself in combat while it still is usuable)
8:20 I see why that luck part was removed, atleast for heroes. Towers can have it because you let them do their thing, you have little control over them outside of setting them for success. Heroes and abilities you have way more control and as such reliace on, so them being inconsistent is destructive. I do believe it should changed to: to an enemy with 20% health it instakills, if the target had less than 150 health refund half of the cooldown.

10:00 which I do love her unique(Well atleast in gameplay design anyway,she should've been a beefcake white woman, trully horrifying for the executives at Iron Hide) focus on the supportive side of Heroes,(not sure if some them should be, like the pirates don't really and probably wouldn't really care about the hero work just the Money they get out of it which i wish would be explored more in story) through things like being a healer or medic. however Supporting is most of what that kind of character does, not the only thing they do because the support's job is to protect their team, which would include killing the enemy. So she should have a damaging skill that works with her supportive capabilities, not overtake them. Like she is able to drop the might of whatever God is in kingdom rush, dealing AOE Magic Damage and buffing any ally tower nearby, causing them to deal extra true damage each hit for 7 seconds.(damage is based on their damage output) For Barrack towers their units gain high Armor and the tower realses a Magic damage pulse around it.(same duration as the other towers) For her other one, she could Summon a Guardian angel you can control, grants Her a Shield based on enemy count and has a shield and Armor aura, for enemies it reduces their resistences instead, if they have no resistences they take Magic damge overtime.

It should stun everytime it doesn't have good reason not to, it's a stampede of large destroctive forces of Nature, there is no reason at base it doesn't consistently stun. For his other abilities, aside from the one I hate which is a constant issue with Frontier's Hero design, they seem to just need a Stat adjustment not a gameplay adjustment meaning they're good abilities just their stats suck. Which I mostly Agree with, the boars should maybe have an ability to add with Cronan to add to group stalling, like a charge that stuns a single enemy and reduces their resistences. Or do a belly flop that stuns in their area, area range is based on each unit, Cronan having the largest. The bird should maybe have a reset it's attack after killing an enemy, to be an engangement thing. Cronan, I like cronan and agree bro is underwhealming.
5:50 where? To my knowlegde he only has a mix of Stalling and damage output, with a bit of generic sustain. None of them are luck based and none are supportive utility outside of Stalling.
Adding to this tier list i would said that Torres is the worst hero in alliance, due its low speed and also the abilitie to build a tower, the tower dosn´t deals very damage and is very bad against armored enemies, and also when he builds the tower the enemie who is fighting him will ignore him and advance, this happen me a lot of times when i was maxing Torres, and is annoying, so i think is the worst hero for the mines and the other dimension, at the start of the game it can be good, but heroes like grimson tank a lot better than torres. Also other bad hero is Broden, i mean is not that bad but the fact that he dosn't atack flying enemies is very anoing, but i think that Torres is the only realy bad heroe in alliance, maybe raelyn, also because she is very slow and forces the player to have her in the same line always but its also a very good tank and damage dealer, plus that the dark knight can act as an excelent tank and he can easly takedown anoying enemies like twisted sisters and vile caretakers
his EHP is lower than almost every other hero who’s meant to stall, and his regen is so negligible that it can’t add to his survivability well. He’s only really good at assassinating weak mages, or supporting choke points with the stun/units, but outside of that he’s pretty useless.
@@anteaterhi Yeah but his stalling is good and taking out mages/low armor enemies isn't a bad thing. There are many waves where you can spawn camp mages at the start of the path so they can't use spells. On the undead levels there are waves that just have a bunch of liches to spawn skeletons. On the winter queen levels there are many waves of just ice witches that spawn ice shards. Same with preventing mogwai from multiplying or frogs from jumping. He requires some micro and knowledge of what waves you should spawn camp on, and even if he can't spawn camp, he can hold a choke point. He ends up being way more useful than something like Jigou, Jun'pai or Oloch.
@@yomani1533 Jigou’s melee stalling and his DPS is better than Veruk’s, as well as having 3 skills that can attack in an AoE. Just Jun’Pai’s base attack with his passive active will completely out DPS Veruk, as well as having better choke point support. Oloch’s hero spell is just really good for KRV, groups of big enemies can just get permanently stalled, so again that’s much better than what Veruk can do. Simply just dealing a bit of damage to mage enemies isn’t useful enough for a hero to be good. Even other heroes who do have this trait, they often have over supportive qualities, like Margosa who can assassinated unarmored enemies and stall for a long time.
@@anteaterhi Jigou's melee stalling is NOT better than Veruk's. He stuns shortly on a long cooldown. He can stand in front of a single big enemy for longer, but there aren't many huge enemies in KRV anyway. If I could use Jigou in front of a golem or a bloodshell or a big enemy from other KR games, he might be more useful. Instead, he stands in front of a single anurian warden for a minute while 30 other anurian wardens walk right by. Meanwhile, oloch's ult only works on certain big/slow enemies but, once again, there are only like 4 that I can think of; frost giant, crystal demolisher, snow golem, and bone carriers. None of these enemies pose a threat and a hero with many minions and an AOE stun with half the cd of jigou's is a lot more useful in most cases.
@@yomani1533 Jigou is literally one of the best in the series for purely melee stalling, and while that’s all he can do, his dps is still equal to/better than Veruk’s due to it mostly being AoE damage. Veruk dies to anything with an attack stat over 50. Oloch again, his hero spell is still really good for supporting choke points and holding down a lane, while also having almost the same dps as Veruk.

6:30 I hate regen "Skills" or passives because thats just a base stat increase not an interactive form of gameplay. How about instead he heals himself and boars with a meal and increasing his healing recieved as he gains Lifesteal. Lifesteal heal from damage you deal, unlike most cases it also applies to abilities in this iteration as those who use it would need it more. While encourging him to be Assertive in his gameplay, rewarding interacting with the enemy. Espically Cronan.
22:10 not much ahs changed actually, Countery itnutive Skills? Yeah, Venom Refernce and the King Simp too(he's less as atleast he has an ability that encourges microing but it's not long enough to stay at that point) does that. Low base stats somewhat likely, Arlyn seems way less tanky than she should be. Abiltiy effects that leave little impact? Little Tree gremlin and Arelyn's damage reduction don't really work because they already have ways to mitagate damage, making the skills more of a filler rather than one the works with the kit. Passives? They kinda aren't mentioned for some reason, some do have it it's just not told to you like Tree gremlin's Faster at long ranges Speed that works with his kit, or some heroes like the King Simp who would actually need that not having one. Ai being Awful? Yeah high damaging single target skills get missed on targets that it would overkill often than not, Arlyn keeps single bursting enemies that barely stood a chance compared to the large one right next to her, Tree gremlin even falls to his own incompetence, The king Denas Simp sometimes missed his AoE Arrow bounce on a group of enemies next to him and his single heavy stun, you can probably guess. Yeah they only really got the enemy difficulty backlin order well and some issues for the towers, the heroes are Fine, sometimes too stupid or like Poor Premium Torres to Little effort put in to be further than good, the great ones are Tree gremlin with actually Good design past his issues. For storytelling wise it's still garbage, it comes off again and again that they just make cool idea then force some story around it rather than intregate it in, either it's exactly what you expect nothing more than the sterotype like Denas Simp, or it has intersting concept like the Venom referce but the execute is Mid at best.

Mirage and Deidre are not bad at all With Mirage, she just clears an entire group of enemies with her shadows, backstabs the strong ones that are left and dodges her way out to repeat the process. I dont knkw if I'm just lucky, but she's been doing wonders for me, I will even go as far as to say that ai prefer her from Alric due to her mobility and overall faster abilities. Of course, I wouldnt recommend her to fight off against the turtles or the bluegills but for most stages she's doing an excellent job once leveled-up Deidre on the other hand simply requires you to play the game in a different way. You even said on the video that her skills aren't bad on paper. I think the problem with Deidre is not Deidre herself but the lack of good barracks to make use of her teleport, and it certainly doesnt help that templars are arguably the worst tower in the game. However, Deidre for me has proven to be more than useful, with her tower buffs, keeping stalling units alive and she herself happening to be one of the tankiest heroes in the game (I find it hilarious that shes a better tank than Veruk). She may deal no damage and rely strictly on support to deal with enemies, but tailoring the playstyle to fit her better I've found that she's not only very good at providing for your defense but also arguably the most fun hero I've played in frontiers. I won't go and say that she's Bonehart tier or anything, but she definitely deserves better than being considered trash.
@@Paragon-rq7vl on veteran mode, it is genuinely impossible for her to kill anything in one hit using her shadows, so that is a lie. And also, if you get lucky, that doesn’t mean other people will. Lethal Strike is still an unreliable skill, and can still let you down. For Dierdre, I don’t think she is in the bottom three, I think Nivus and Kutsao are still worse than her, I just chose her because she is interesting. I still think she is a D tier/C tier hero, but you have to admit the support she adds is not amazing. Slightly buffing 1 or 2 towers and healing allies is not enough, and her complete lack of damage means that’s all she will be able to provide.
@@anteaterhi i have beaten veteran with mirage as the hero, and she's honestly usable. even with the below average lethal strike procs, i had fairly low trouble in terms of actually beating the stages. another funny thing is that she was the first hero I used for a playthrough when the game came out because she was the only flying targeting hero on flash that was free which was kinda painful as i was new. tl;dr: mirage isn't the worst per se, just slightly usable

Anyway I will atleast let you know I'm gonna repeat it if you don't know: Base stats should already be given or had by their name, Melee heroes ofcourse should have greater regeration at base, they're at greater risk of getting hurt so ofcourse, they should be able to comeback to the fight quicker and stay in it longer than ranged ones.(one of them shouldn't stay so long yet he can for a terribly designed reason)
Mirage is not low tier. Lethal strike instakill hitting on an average of 64 may seem underwhelming, but 4 lethal strikes deal 1080 TRUE damage. Shadow dance can proc five times dealing 800 TRUE damage in total. And that's her dps potential a minute which is incredible, not counting her knives that can deal around 400 to 700+ physical damage under a minute. 2500 damage AND an instakill every minute is NOT bad dps. Shadow dodge is wonderful for needing to do less micro with her. Her attacking range mean she can deal with flying enemies, your Alric can't do that, can he?. She's fast like a kid on a sugar rush, can cross the whole map in about 10 seconds. I swear Voduke was tripping when he put my goat on place 51. Like, hell nah. People are just allergic to rng it seems.
@@davidcardozo290 if you put things in damage per minute, it’s gonna seem high. Lethal Strike has a dps of 16.9, which is worse than skills like Dante’s Silver Bullet, Grawl’s Shard Punch, and Bruxa’s Voodoo Doll, so not only is it only eh without the instakill, it’s unreliable. Shadow Dance deals 40 damage per unit. 40 damage. There is only 1 other skill in the series that deals that amount of damage to an enemy, which is Sha’tra’s Energy Glaive (which has a much shorter cooldown and the potential for more damage). Even if you isolate a target, it’s only 160 damage every 11 seconds, which again isn’t useful at all. Most skills that deal physical damage are better than this, and there are other skills in the series that are similar but executed better (Hacksaw flying sawblade, Sha’tra energy Glaive, and Prince Denas avenger). Compare her dps to any other hero who’s supposed to deal damage, she’s gonna be worse. You can’t leave Mirage anywhere, you need to be microing her around Lethal Strike so she has the *chance* of killing an actual important enemy. Sha’tra is literally right there, who not only has more overall dps, but has a GUARANTEED instakills. Also her shadow dodge, I can only ever see it having a sliver of use in the early game, where you can slightly stall little enemies better, but not much else. People are allergic to RNG when it’s controlling the only thing that can make a hero useful. Just because you’ve had situations where she’s instakilled a bunch of enemies before, it’s much much more likely that you’ve had many more situations where she doesn’t instakill stuff. Objectively, a 1/4 chance to be useful is not good.
@@anteaterhi I say you can't compare true damage to physical damage, true damage is just more versatile. She has less damage than a pure magical or physical hero due to 2 out of her 3 means of attacking being true dmg. It wouldn't be balanced otherwise. You don't really need to move her a lot, you'd be losing dps potential if you did, you can argue you want to target an important enemy, but you shouldn't rely on her as an Assasin because her instadeath chance is low, she's more dps oriented, she's better for killing trash mob with bulk because lethal strike + shadow dance can take on most enemies hp bar, on average she'd be killing 2 or 4 enemies per minute, which isn't bad at all considering this is based on Myrmydons, who have 800 hp on veteran, plus their armor. I have a lot of hours with her, and she relieves a lot of pressure from your towers. Sure she isn't the best, I'm not delusional, delusional is thinking she's top 10 worse among the whole saga.
@@davidcardozo290 her dps is terrible, if you’re using her as a hero to clean up weaker enemies, so many other heroes again just have better dps. Nivus (he isn’t good, but still has more dps), Alric, Dante, Bruxa, Grawl, Ashbite, Sha’tra, and Kutsao can all deal more damage than Mirage, on top of doing other things, so that role is completely irrelevant. So even then when you try to tie in her instakill, it’s unreliable.
@@anteaterhi Alric can't hit air, is slow, Grawl takes 3 to 4 business days to get to half the map, Kutsao can't hit air + is squishy, his dps isn't as amazing as you tell, Bruxa can't do sheet to magic resistant enemies, Ashbite can't stall and needs way more micro than Mirage to be properly used, Sha'tra isn't as fast, his Frisbee thing can't 4 hit the same enemy like Mirage clones, that's his only air attack, Nivus is the epitome of squishy and low damage, dante isn't as fast and has mediocre damage which can easily be matched by Mirage. Sure they have different utilities and play styles, but they're not God incarnate in front of Knife girl like you wanna make them be. Again, she's got many things going for her and I'd take her any day of the week instead of some of the guys you've mentioned. Sides, she's always useful, damage resistance type ain't doing shei§e. I have both hours and eyes to see what's up. This is just a case of bias against rng and relatively small numbers.

Mirage has an overall dps of about 60, and a quarter of that is spread across four enemies. It’s the same reason why Alleria sucks, her base damage is only okay and the spreading of her attack means it has no real damage on single targets. Mirage at least has lethal strike, but the dps of the skill can’t make up for the rest of her low damage and the instakill is again, unreliable. True damage doesn’t mean anything if it’s still super low. Cronan and Kutsao both have true damage, but they’re still shit because it’s not enough to make up for the other things that are wrong with them. Speaking of which, I only brought up Kutsao and Nivus because they still have more use than Mirage, with Kutsao having his stall and Nivus just having more damage/execute.

Well Catha’s hero spell and supportive capabilities are OP, so I don’t see how i would ever move her below Bruce. Jigou and Oloch both overall have low damage, but due to how Jigou wastes his skills (and how stalling only 1 enemy really isn’t an exceptional trait in the game unless you have some other added benefit to it), I still think Oloch being able to stall many enemies makes him much better.
Any hero can be useful when used right sure, you don’t even need heroes to beat KR1 and KRF. But if you have as many heroes as you do in this series, obviously some are going to be worse than others. Even if you have a game where every hero is in the same tier, there will still be the better and worse heroes.

Quite sad to see one of my favorite vengeance heroes is pretty much bad but you do make some good points,I’ve been maining Tramin for a while now and i can see there are some more flaws that i also want to add about my favorite hero:
1.his flash bang is sometime hard to control because the skill animation is the same as his attack animation so it’s hard to know when will he use the ability on enemies that sometimes i just see the ability as tramin passive but with rng
2. His rocket barage sometimes doesn’t even deal DAMAGE,like i see his rockets hit the wizard golem or geomancer dwarfs and they didn’t even lose a health,like is this some kind of glitch or something?
Despite his shortcomings i still find him fun to play and i really like his design,it’s nice to see your opinion about him and the other heroes that you mentioned (Thank you for not including King Denas)hope to see more of you in the future.

I do want to point it out that mirages shadow dodge seems to be intended as more of an emmergency button:
were it's there more so to get her out of engagement if the enemy gets too close for her to be engaged so she can move backwards and still attack
It's kinda simmilar to asra's shield abbility, were its more of a safety measure to warn you that she is engaged so you can move her before he dies due to it
And alliances vesper also seems to have simmilar thing were he doges backwards in order to make distance by himself without needing you to manage that for him.
Yeah, but Shield of Shadows and Disengage both synergize with their respective heroes. Shield of Shadows lets Asra get her instakill off easier, and Disengage deals high damage so Vesper can deal with deadly enemies better. Shadow Dodge is just kinda there, and doesn’t synergize with her kit at all.

Rags hero skill is bugged in Origins. When you are in last wave and you turn all remaining enemies to rags, game will think they are "own" units and completes the level. This makes it hilarious and broken in certain levels like the first on in ancestral ruins, where you can turn twilight golem in rag and complete entire last wave without fighting it.
Ya it’s a fun bug sometimes, but on boss levels it’s still useless, possibly even more annoying as now you have a boss, a boss wave, and a random twilight golem to deal with.

It's weird, i could tell which heroes was "bad" when i played even if i didn't know why
I like KR vengeance because there's no bad heroes at all. Each heroes always have secondary or tertiary abilities to compensate for their weakness. Veruk is melee and squishy, but he has several henchmen to dead stop enemies. Ayra is typical squishy dps but she can instantly teleport to anywhere on map. Margoda has limited combat ability, but her bloodsucker allows her to fight continuously in a 1v1 battle, perfect to stall a tough enemy. And my most favorite hero is doom tank who, despite unable to block enemies by itself, can stun enemies in one lane and summon soldiers to block as well
The problem with Vengeance is actually the opposite-it has multiple heroes that are so broken that they immediately turn veteran difficulty into casual

It’s only 45 extra physical damage he gets, not true damage, so again it’s still high damage it still gets walled hard by armor, and unlike Eridan or Prince Denas or Reg’son he can’t regenerate his health quickly at all, so I still think he’s below Prince Denas, but it’s still a small difference so I don’t think you saying Bruce is better is a big deal yk.

I never had too many issues with Bruce mainly cause he would just shred or significantly damage any enemy I put him up against (although the slow healing means he doesn't get to shine often)

GASP! No love for Alleria or Mirage? Those were some of my main heroes.
They are ranged so I can just leave them in the backline and focus on other things, their DPS is great (for me at least), their high ROF allowed them to not waste that many shots, Alleria is super fast and Mirage can teleport. Mirage's backstab ability actually has pretty good range. And they are both really really cool. Yea they are both physical damage but that makes them strong against magic resistant enemies (generic statement).
Also Bruce was pretty good.
@@endplanets I used to love those heroes too, but like, their dps is worse than every other hero. Mirage’s instakill chance can be helpful sometimes, but on average it’s only an instakill every 64 seconds, which isn’t reliable at all I’d say. Still fun heroes though.

Mirage can teleport around the map and use her lethal skill on large enemies.
That's what she's good at and that's the only thing you should ever focus with her, on.
Makes her very niche. that ability recharges what.. every 45 seconds or something? it isn't that useful and you have to micro her very well in order to really use it.
So yes I agree she isn't good.. but if you're a micro-management god, she actually is a good hero. Still I don't use her, I like other heroes far better.
@@xenxander Lethal Strike thankfully has a 16 second cooldown, but due to it only having a 25% chance to instakill, on paper it’s only an instakill every 64 seconds.

Assassin guild is totally amazing and even the archer tower's machine gun works really good for the price. If you think these towers are bad due to being 'awesome'? hmmm. They aren't broken but they do make you feel good using them.

9:12 I mostly considered it bad for the small moments you might need her for stalling, sometimes ranged heroes are gonna be needed to stop a deadly enemy for a bit to keep your strategy in check with the risk that isn't their best suit.
It should be changed to dodge for ranged attacks and for melee she doesn't teleport instead she has the ability of Assasin's dodge instead.
Giving her something in melee range, though I don't want a sistuation like in origins were because the dogde can happen infitently it becomes another form of giving the character immunity and superfical Tankyness they shouldn't have.
So she can do up to 3 Dodges before it goes on a 8 second cooldown.(should be enough to be risking herself in combat while it still is usuable)

Towers can have it because you let them do their thing, you have little control over them outside of setting them for success.
Heroes and abilities you have way more control and as such reliace on, so them being inconsistent is destructive.
I do believe it should changed to: to an enemy with 20% health it instakills, if the target had less than 150 health refund half of the cooldown.

10:00 which I do love her unique(Well atleast in gameplay design anyway,she should've been a beefcake white woman, trully horrifying for the executives at Iron Hide) focus on the supportive side of Heroes,(not sure if some them should be, like the pirates don't really and probably wouldn't really care about the hero work just the Money they get out of it which i wish would be explored more in story) through things like being a healer or medic.
however Supporting is most of what that kind of character does, not the only thing they do because the support's job is to protect their team, which would include killing the enemy.
So she should have a damaging skill that works with her supportive capabilities, not overtake them.
Like she is able to drop the might of whatever God is in kingdom rush, dealing AOE Magic Damage and buffing any ally tower nearby, causing them to deal extra true damage each hit for 7 seconds.(damage is based on their damage output)
For Barrack towers their units gain high Armor and the tower realses a Magic damage pulse around it.(same duration as the other towers)
For her other one, she could Summon a Guardian angel you can control, grants Her a Shield based on enemy count and has a shield and Armor aura, for enemies it reduces their resistences instead, if they have no resistences they take Magic damge overtime.

It should stun everytime it doesn't have good reason not to, it's a stampede of large destroctive forces of Nature, there is no reason at base it doesn't consistently stun.
For his other abilities, aside from the one I hate which is a constant issue with Frontier's Hero design, they seem to just need a Stat adjustment not a gameplay adjustment meaning they're good abilities just their stats suck.
Which I mostly Agree with, the boars should maybe have an ability to add with Cronan to add to group stalling, like a charge that stuns a single enemy and reduces their resistences.
Or do a belly flop that stuns in their area, area range is based on each unit, Cronan having the largest.
The bird should maybe have a reset it's attack after killing an enemy, to be an engangement thing.

Adding to this tier list i would said that Torres is the worst hero in alliance, due its low speed and also the abilitie to build a tower, the tower dosn´t deals very damage and is very bad against armored enemies, and also when he builds the tower the enemie who is fighting him will ignore him and advance, this happen me a lot of times when i was maxing Torres, and is annoying, so i think is the worst hero for the mines and the other dimension, at the start of the game it can be good, but heroes like grimson tank a lot better than torres. Also other bad hero is Broden, i mean is not that bad but the fact that he dosn't atack flying enemies is very anoing, but i think that Torres is the only realy bad heroe in alliance, maybe raelyn, also because she is very slow and forces the player to have her in the same line always but its also a very good tank and damage dealer, plus that the dark knight can act as an excelent tank and he can easly takedown anoying enemies like twisted sisters and vile caretakers

Veruk is so underrated. He brawls and stalls pretty well. Hes not amazing but hes a solid b tier imo
his EHP is lower than almost every other hero who’s meant to stall, and his regen is so negligible that it can’t add to his survivability well. He’s only really good at assassinating weak mages, or supporting choke points with the stun/units, but outside of that he’s pretty useless.
@@anteaterhi Yeah but his stalling is good and taking out mages/low armor enemies isn't a bad thing. There are many waves where you can spawn camp mages at the start of the path so they can't use spells. On the undead levels there are waves that just have a bunch of liches to spawn skeletons. On the winter queen levels there are many waves of just ice witches that spawn ice shards. Same with preventing mogwai from multiplying or frogs from jumping. He requires some micro and knowledge of what waves you should spawn camp on, and even if he can't spawn camp, he can hold a choke point. He ends up being way more useful than something like Jigou, Jun'pai or Oloch.
@@yomani1533 Jigou’s melee stalling and his DPS is better than Veruk’s, as well as having 3 skills that can attack in an AoE. Just Jun’Pai’s base attack with his passive active will completely out DPS Veruk, as well as having better choke point support. Oloch’s hero spell is just really good for KRV, groups of big enemies can just get permanently stalled, so again that’s much better than what Veruk can do. Simply just dealing a bit of damage to mage enemies isn’t useful enough for a hero to be good. Even other heroes who do have this trait, they often have over supportive qualities, like Margosa who can assassinated unarmored enemies and stall for a long time.
@@anteaterhi Jigou's melee stalling is NOT better than Veruk's. He stuns shortly on a long cooldown. He can stand in front of a single big enemy for longer, but there aren't many huge enemies in KRV anyway. If I could use Jigou in front of a golem or a bloodshell or a big enemy from other KR games, he might be more useful. Instead, he stands in front of a single anurian warden for a minute while 30 other anurian wardens walk right by. Meanwhile, oloch's ult only works on certain big/slow enemies but, once again, there are only like 4 that I can think of; frost giant, crystal demolisher, snow golem, and bone carriers. None of these enemies pose a threat and a hero with many minions and an AOE stun with half the cd of jigou's is a lot more useful in most cases.
@@yomani1533 Jigou is literally one of the best in the series for purely melee stalling, and while that’s all he can do, his dps is still equal to/better than Veruk’s due to it mostly being AoE damage. Veruk dies to anything with an attack stat over 50. Oloch again, his hero spell is still really good for supporting choke points and holding down a lane, while also having almost the same dps as Veruk.

How about instead he heals himself and boars with a meal and increasing his healing recieved as he gains Lifesteal.
Lifesteal heal from damage you deal, unlike most cases it also applies to abilities in this iteration as those who use it would need it more.
While encourging him to be Assertive in his gameplay, rewarding interacting with the enemy.

Hey, he's like the most op dragon in the series so he's definitely the coldest dragon we'll ever have.
22:10 not much ahs changed actually, Countery itnutive Skills? Yeah, Venom Refernce and the King Simp too(he's less as atleast he has an ability that encourges microing but it's not long enough to stay at that point) does that.
Low base stats somewhat likely, Arlyn seems way less tanky than she should be.
Abiltiy effects that leave little impact? Little Tree gremlin and Arelyn's damage reduction don't really work because they already have ways to mitagate damage, making the skills more of a filler rather than one the works with the kit.
Passives? They kinda aren't mentioned for some reason, some do have it it's just not told to you like Tree gremlin's Faster at long ranges Speed that works with his kit, or some heroes like the King Simp who would actually need that not having one.
Ai being Awful? Yeah high damaging single target skills get missed on targets that it would overkill often than not, Arlyn keeps single bursting enemies that barely stood a chance compared to the large one right next to her, Tree gremlin even falls to his own incompetence, The king Denas Simp sometimes missed his AoE Arrow bounce on a group of enemies next to him and his single heavy stun, you can probably guess.
Yeah they only really got the enemy difficulty backlin order well and some issues for the towers, the heroes are Fine, sometimes too stupid or like Poor Premium Torres to Little effort put in to be further than good, the great ones are Tree gremlin with actually Good design past his issues.
For storytelling wise it's still garbage, it comes off again and again that they just make cool idea then force some story around it rather than intregate it in, either it's exactly what you expect nothing more than the sterotype like Denas Simp, or it has intersting concept like the Venom referce but the execute is Mid at best.
How dare you put my glorious chocolate king in the worst heroes list. Honestly tho is they just made it so his level 2 skill didn’t need 3 enemies he’d actually be good cause the slow speed means enemies have to stay still longer before combat

Mirage and Deidre are not bad at all
With Mirage, she just clears an entire group of enemies with her shadows, backstabs the strong ones that are left and dodges her way out to repeat the process. I dont knkw if I'm just lucky, but she's been doing wonders for me, I will even go as far as to say that ai prefer her from Alric due to her mobility and overall faster abilities. Of course, I wouldnt recommend her to fight off against the turtles or the bluegills but for most stages she's doing an excellent job once leveled-up
Deidre on the other hand simply requires you to play the game in a different way. You even said on the video that her skills aren't bad on paper. I think the problem with Deidre is not Deidre herself but the lack of good barracks to make use of her teleport, and it certainly doesnt help that templars are arguably the worst tower in the game. However, Deidre for me has proven to be more than useful, with her tower buffs, keeping stalling units alive and she herself happening to be one of the tankiest heroes in the game (I find it hilarious that shes a better tank than Veruk). She may deal no damage and rely strictly on support to deal with enemies, but tailoring the playstyle to fit her better I've found that she's not only very good at providing for your defense but also arguably the most fun hero I've played in frontiers. I won't go and say that she's Bonehart tier or anything, but she definitely deserves better than being considered trash.
@@Paragon-rq7vl on veteran mode, it is genuinely impossible for her to kill anything in one hit using her shadows, so that is a lie. And also, if you get lucky, that doesn’t mean other people will. Lethal Strike is still an unreliable skill, and can still let you down.
For Dierdre, I don’t think she is in the bottom three, I think Nivus and Kutsao are still worse than her, I just chose her because she is interesting. I still think she is a D tier/C tier hero, but you have to admit the support she adds is not amazing. Slightly buffing 1 or 2 towers and healing allies is not enough, and her complete lack of damage means that’s all she will be able to provide.
@@anteaterhi i have beaten veteran with mirage as the hero, and she's honestly usable. even with the below average lethal strike procs, i had fairly low trouble in terms of actually beating the stages. another funny thing is that she was the first hero I used for a playthrough when the game came out because she was the only flying targeting hero on flash that was free which was kinda painful as i was new. tl;dr: mirage isn't the worst per se, just slightly usable

Anyway I will atleast let you know I'm gonna repeat it if you don't know:
Base stats should already be given or had by their name, Melee heroes ofcourse should have greater regeration at base, they're at greater risk of getting hurt so ofcourse, they should be able to comeback to the fight quicker and stay in it longer than ranged ones.(one of them shouldn't stay so long yet he can for a terribly designed reason)
Mirage is not low tier. Lethal strike instakill hitting on an average of 64 may seem underwhelming, but 4 lethal strikes deal 1080 TRUE damage. Shadow dance can proc five times dealing 800 TRUE damage in total. And that's her dps potential a minute which is incredible, not counting her knives that can deal around 400 to 700+ physical damage under a minute. 2500 damage AND an instakill every minute is NOT bad dps. Shadow dodge is wonderful for needing to do less micro with her. Her attacking range mean she can deal with flying enemies, your Alric can't do that, can he?. She's fast like a kid on a sugar rush, can cross the whole map in about 10 seconds.

Lethal Strike has a dps of 16.9, which is worse than skills like Dante’s Silver Bullet, Grawl’s Shard Punch, and Bruxa’s Voodoo Doll, so not only is it only eh without the instakill, it’s unreliable. Shadow Dance deals 40 damage per unit. 40 damage. There is only 1 other skill in the series that deals that amount of damage to an enemy, which is Sha’tra’s Energy Glaive (which has a much shorter cooldown and the potential for more damage). Even if you isolate a target, it’s only 160 damage every 11 seconds, which again isn’t useful at all. Most skills that deal physical damage are better than this, and there are other skills in the series that are similar but executed better (Hacksaw flying sawblade, Sha’tra energy Glaive, and Prince Denas avenger). Compare her dps to any other hero who’s supposed to deal damage, she’s gonna be worse. You can’t leave Mirage anywhere, you need to be microing her around Lethal Strike so she has the *chance* of killing an actual important enemy. Sha’tra is literally right there, who not only has more overall dps, but has a GUARANTEED instakills. Also her shadow dodge, I can only ever see it having a sliver of use in the early game, where you can slightly stall little enemies better, but not much else. People are allergic to RNG when it’s controlling the only thing that can make a hero useful. Just because you’ve had situations where she’s instakilled a bunch of enemies before, it’s much much more likely that you’ve had many more situations where she doesn’t instakill stuff. Objectively, a 1/4 chance to be useful is not good.
@@anteaterhi I say you can't compare true damage to physical damage, true damage is just more versatile. She has less damage than a pure magical or physical hero due to 2 out of her 3 means of attacking being true dmg. It wouldn't be balanced otherwise. You don't really need to move her a lot, you'd be losing dps potential if you did, you can argue you want to target an important enemy, but you shouldn't rely on her as an Assasin because her instadeath chance is low, she's more dps oriented, she's better for killing trash mob with bulk because lethal strike + shadow dance can take on most enemies hp bar, on average she'd be killing 2 or 4 enemies per minute, which isn't bad at all considering this is based on Myrmydons, who have 800 hp on veteran, plus their armor. I have a lot of hours with her, and she relieves a lot of pressure from your towers.
Sure she isn't the best, I'm not delusional, delusional is thinking she's top 10 worse among the whole saga.
@@davidcardozo290 her dps is terrible, if you’re using her as a hero to clean up weaker enemies, so many other heroes again just have better dps. Nivus (he isn’t good, but still has more dps), Alric, Dante, Bruxa, Grawl, Ashbite, Sha’tra, and Kutsao can all deal more damage than Mirage, on top of doing other things, so that role is completely irrelevant. So even then when you try to tie in her instakill, it’s unreliable.
@@anteaterhi Alric can't hit air, is slow, Grawl takes 3 to 4 business days to get to half the map, Kutsao can't hit air + is squishy, his dps isn't as amazing as you tell, Bruxa can't do sheet to magic resistant enemies, Ashbite can't stall and needs way more micro than Mirage to be properly used, Sha'tra isn't as fast, his Frisbee thing can't 4 hit the same enemy like Mirage clones, that's his only air attack, Nivus is the epitome of squishy and low damage, dante isn't as fast and has mediocre damage which can easily be matched by Mirage. Sure they have different utilities and play styles, but they're not God incarnate in front of Knife girl like you wanna make them be.
Again, she's got many things going for her and I'd take her any day of the week instead of some of the guys you've mentioned. Sides, she's always useful, damage resistance type ain't doing shei§e.

Mirage has an overall dps of about 60, and a quarter of that is spread across four enemies. It’s the same reason why Alleria sucks, her base damage is only okay and the spreading of her attack means it has no real damage on single targets. Mirage at least has lethal strike, but the dps of the skill can’t make up for the rest of her low damage and the instakill is again, unreliable. True damage doesn’t mean anything if it’s still super low. Cronan and Kutsao both have true damage, but they’re still shit because it’s not enough to make up for the other things that are wrong with them. Speaking of which, I only brought up Kutsao and Nivus because they still have more use than Mirage, with Kutsao having his stall and Nivus just having more damage/execute.

Well Catha’s hero spell and supportive capabilities are OP, so I don’t see how i would ever move her below Bruce. Jigou and Oloch both overall have low damage, but due to how Jigou wastes his skills (and how stalling only 1 enemy really isn’t an exceptional trait in the game unless you have some other added benefit to it), I still think Oloch being able to stall many enemies makes him much better.

Any hero can be useful when used right sure, you don’t even need heroes to beat KR1 and KRF. But if you have as many heroes as you do in this series, obviously some are going to be worse than others. Even if you have a game where every hero is in the same tier, there will still be the better and worse heroes.
