this is awesome man for real lol I've been wanting to try my Xbox One controller just for some variety so this gives me a general idea! thanks for the vid friend and keep up the good work!
You’re welcome. I’ll try my best to get a video about it out as soon as possible, but it will probably take a few weeks as I don’t have much time at the moment.
Go to Controls -> Common -> View controls -> Zoom Camera and add in the following order “R1”+”R3” and “L1”+”R1”+”R3”. You’ll be able to zoom in and out in standard view and while looking around. But keep in mind, if you want to zoom in at high speeds and forget to press R1 you’ll lose your flaps!
Then what am I doing wrong? I feel with every plane, dont matter which one, I'm constantly fighting with it to get it under control and always having to button bash to try trim the plane! Forget trying to dogfight or bomb tanks. I just dont get it 🤷♂️. I watched another TH-camr but he was using a joystick, which ofcourse is what the game mode was designed for and he said you need to get plane up off the ground and get to a cruise speed where you aint gaining altitude and that then trim the aircraft and save. You go into test drive with every plane you want to fly and do that first. Its just way to confusing to me and I just wish it was easier to fly (for me personally) I'm more of a tank man but even thats a pain on console playing RB and Sim Battles. I see you dont have any controls set for like bombs, rockets ect Its annoying trying to bind all the controls you need. Fair play to you for actually flying with a controller, I guess I will never, unless Gaijin made a simple sim controls for flying planes and you dont have to trim the aircraft and all that.
In prop planes you always have to compensate for the effect of the engine torque. Normally you only trim the plane to make this compensation easier, or to prepare it for certain situations like a deep dive before boom n' zooming or climbing after takeoff. Most prop fighters don't even have the option to trim the ailerons. It's usually only in Bombers, where you are flying long distances in one direction, where you trim the plane to fly absolutely straight. If turn fighters give you difficulties because of the maneuverability, try boom and zoom fighters and use hit and run tactics first. Jets don't have this effect. Did you try flying them in Air-SIM? As for bombs: I usually put them on "Down". Give this setup at least a try! You are missing out a great gamemode!
@@alex_black_9819 Every plane just feels the same, cant boom and zoom if the planes are pulling me everywhere, cant do anything. I feel like I'm always having to trim every plane, not so much jets like you said, whilst I'm looking at every other person, fly straight, I'm cannon fodder. I have no patience and lose my rag way to easily cos I cant be bothered having to mess with controls each time. I havent played it in awhile, been playing tanks recently and even thats doing my nut in. I know its a good game mode, I wanted to combine planes/jets and tanks together but unfortunatly the controls for flying just let me down and I dont learn anything. Its not nice to get constantly shot down all the time. Thanks, anyhow!
Try going into your pitch axis then go to sensitivity and put that down to lets say 0.8... It will help alot. Spitfires i set my sensitibkty down to 0.50 to have a much smoother flight .. I also play sim on console woth a remote its really easy. I have buttons from br 1 all the way to 12 and they all work verry easy..@@tommystewart1745
Good observation! There is no way to know it exactly, but if you look at the clock in the cockpit or the timer in the map view before taking off you can estimate the time that should remain later in flight. It’s actually way more precise than looking at the fuel gauge. But from my experience it’s usually a low ammo amount that forces you to fly back home and not the fuel level. The only situation in which you’ll get into trouble is when having a fuel leak, but that’s a price I’m ready to pay for better immersion.
@@alex_black_9819 oh nice i was also using minimal hud but i switch it up because of the fuel gauge problem but yh looking at the clock in the cockpit is a very good option
Thank you very much and thank you for the video, you are a humble guy, good work and I wish you success.
Thank you so much for this wonderful video ❤
You’re welcome! :)
I play with vr and hotas but this an amazing video I’ll share with those on console wanting to give sim a shot
Looking forward to your next dogfight
Thank you! :)

Man you are like salvation for me, thank you
You’re welcome! :)
Actually that might be better than joystick.
I don’t know if it’s better, but it works good enough for me ^^
Thank you
You‘re welcome :)
thanks man
Amazing thanks for sharing, can you show us the setup for bomber

“As soon as possible” took a bit longer, but now it’s online :)
i really like this setup, my only concern is being able to zoom while looking around, is there anything that can fix this?

@@alex_black_9819 thanks, i'll try this out next time i fly

If you're using a controller you should take a look at your pitch and roll control's dead zone @@tommystewart1745

I noticed you use minimal HUD so how do you know your fuel level?? cuz i think most prop planes don't have a working fuel gauge

Could you please add Japanese subtitles?
Hi, I would've really liked to do that for you. Sadly, I can't speak a Word in Japanese and I will not rely on a Google translation I can't verify.
Is this on a PS5 console you’re setting this up on?.
Yes
