Thanks for your helpful content. Sadly, update is not user friendly. As an editorial (digital) QA stage, this rearrangement of commands ruins fluency for my multi pg, highly time-sensitive contents. I´m unable to remove some preset commands in order to fill valuable space with what really works for me and fix them for visibility, as I work with split screen most of the time. HATE those 2 horizontal almost empty ribbons on top of screen and that the vertical bar prioritizes preset vs. personalized choices. Going back to former version, but I guess that option is temporary.
My edit button (3:04) looks nothing like yours and I have no idea on how to get it that way. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to uninstall and reinstall as I may lose some my stamps and signatures. So back to the old version I go for the time being.
Hi Sean, appreciate & adminre how explain things. I'm having issues with form fields & check boxes that becomone no longer fillable after one of two signatories has signed their part. Any idea how to fix this? Thank you!
Hi Shawn, thank you for your help the other day! I still need your help please. I'm not doing something correctly. I went into the Digital Signature Properties & selected "Mark as read-only: just these fields" The form fields are still no longer fillable after the first of the two signatories signs their part. Thank you!
Seems like there is quite a bit of discussion on this topic. I thought it was clear and easy - but that doesn't seem to be the case. Here is an article that might help community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-disable-quot-lock-document-after-signing-quot-so-that-signers-can-t-lock-pdf/td-p/9242591
great video. we are still using an older adobe pro acrobat 9. we are thinking of getting the latest pro dc 2023 but i see alot of complaints, what version do you think is the best?
I have a question, so I'm trying to use an app that can use the shapes you can draw as well as layering shapes you draw over them so it creates something, but I can't find it and it's within this App, can anyone help me?
@@TheAccessibilityGuy how do I explain, so I'm trying to make a logo for my roommate's employee, which is a Joke Logo, a resemblance of something "perverse," but really, it's something different. I don't have anything beyond a laptop from 2019, and I need specific standards like snapping, shapes I can manipulate, etc. So far, Adobe Illustrator and Canvas can't do shit for me.
Every time there's significant changes, getting back my old navigation pane is a nightmare. For instance, getting back the buttons that navigate you to the first or last page of a document. I see how it's supposed to be done, but nothing happens. There are clickables to navigate one page at a time in either direction (now stuck in the right pane as opposed to the top), but I see no way to add the fist page/last page buttons. Why should something this simple be so difficult?
Yeah, it's pretty hard to make those types of changes when you've gotten used to something being a certain way for so long. I would rather them spend the time actually fixing the accessibility elements from within a PDF versus changing everything around
Apparently you can only disable this in the old version of Acrobat. If you have this newer version, you need to disable it and then select that check box
i had this version and then it automatically went back to theolder one. I wrote some notes on the older version and then it automatically returende to the new. I lost all the comments that I wrote on the old one! is there a way to retrieve them?
I HOPE TO SEE A FEATURE IN ADOPE ACROBAT WHERE I CAN Preview a rectangular from late page while reading from current page, and change transparency of that rectangular, lets say am reading from math book, and I want to come back to late diagram while reading from different page, and i don't want to keep changing pages to read that diagram again and again..
Thanks for the video but ... "All Tools" menu in the left pane..... MAKE IT STOP !!! I know about : edit --> preferences --> documents and menu --> preferences --> documents and the "restore last view..." and "remember current state..." etc. It doesn't work... UUUGGGHH !!!!
Seems that once we get accustomed to using, some jackass comes and change things around so we have to relearn how and where to find things. Just because they have nothing to do with their time, doesn't mean the rest of us have time to waste jumping through their hoops. These constant unnecessary changes are becoming a real nuisance
Well... I did indeed deactivate the latest version of Acrobat. And lo and behold - it worked just as good as always! What I want to have answers to is HOW to edit an scanned page (from my own written papers and printed pages often with sidenotes that I want to take off from the document)! AND I want to do this FAST - which could be done in the old Acrobate. I dont have time (doing math) to go through hell and back just to edit some documents: I want to do this easy and swift! And not with 100eds of buttonpressings involved. I have a bad arm already and dont wont it to be worse! AND: Adobe please answer my questions! I dont think this new version is good and userfriendly. And if his new version will be the only one in the future I WILL cancel my subsription because then it's not a thing I will or should use!
I'm watching this now. My Adobe updated overnight, and my productivity has come to a complete halt.
You can revert it back
@@TheAccessibilityGuy I’m watching that video now. lol Thank you. I’m not opposed to changes, but this threw me off.

Could not agree more. Im sorry :( for whats its worth , I 100% feel your pain.
why, oh why did they have to change what wasn't broken
I like to think they are laying the ground work for future updates. But we shall see
This update IS TRASH!!!! I agree 1000% with what you said. Why did they have to mess with it

You have to change your properties on that signature field. There is an option that will lock fields after signing.
@@TheAccessibilityGuy Thank you Sean!

How do I create a shape figure with this version of Adobe Acrobat?
Hmm. Probably through the 'comment' feature I'm guessing
How do you turn off the "what's new" pop ups it drives me crazy!
Unfortunately, I have not found a fix for this yet
How do I move my page numbering from right side panel to the top?
Your going to have to disable the new version of acrobat in order to get the page number back on top
great video. we are still using an older adobe pro acrobat 9. we are thinking of getting the latest pro dc 2023 but i see alot of complaints, what version do you think is the best?
Personally, I always like to stay up to date with the latest and greatest.
Have you found a shortcut or quick action toolbar option for 'take a snapshot'?
Hmm. Is that a PDF feature? I'll have to look
@@TheAccessibilityGuy you can search for it in the top right search bar but there seems to be no way to pin it to quick actions or the toolbar.

Adobe Acrobat is not the right tool for this. I would recommend word or ppt instead

How do you separate each PDF into its own window? Right now when I open PDF's they all open under one window as individual tabs.
Are you using the newest version?
Yes I believe so. They made this super confusing. @@TheAccessibilityGuy
@@zachdevil ok try this: preferences>general> select open documents as new tabs in the same window

It doesn't even show that option anymore under Preferences>general anymore.
how do i find the old comment toolbar tools? i miss textbox and things.
The interface has completely changed. Your best bet is to simply disable the new version of Adobe Acrobat

I HOPE TO SEE A FEATURE IN ADOPE ACROBAT WHERE I CAN INSERT AN IMAGE AS NOTE TO CERTAIN TEXT ( MAYBE MATH FORMULA WRITTEN BY LIGHT PEN)
Maybe one day..
How to turn off "all tools" Tab, that every time come when i open pdf
I'm sorry I'm not sure! I think it's a bug with the new Acrobat interface
Page up/down button is smaller little arrows nestled in-between a pile of other commands. Enough said

That would be pretty rad.
Where you change the font type?
That would be In the tool of "edit"
Thanks found it, under edit the space was empty not showing anything I restarted adobe twice then all the things appeared 😂
How to control auto scroll speed ?

I feel that. As of today - you can disable the new Acrobat but it's probably better to try and get used to it.
I'm so upset. My entire work flow is f'ed.
Im sorry to hear that. You can revert it back though just FYI
After 2 months at $20 per month, Adobe CHARGED $90 CANCELLATION FEE

Is this really a facelift? More like "we have to do something, lets move everything around without really adding any new feature".
