    Dude thank you, I've got an online Italian class I'm finishing that has the most wordy and convoluted explanations of concepts and your videos are getting me through it.

    This was really helpful. Thank you for helping me pass Italian. My parents speak Sicilian and it can be very difficult to switch back and forth

    The rule you stated about using che in stead of di does not function in the case of Nuotare e piu faticoso che sciare. It can be applied for a phrase such as Nuotare e piu faticoso che divertente.

      No.
      CHE is used to compare
      --> verbs
      "Mi piace più mangiare che bere"
      --> adverbs
      "Lavoro più velocemente che volentieri"
      --> adjectives
      "Quell'uomo è più bello che intelligente"
      --> nouns with prepositions
      "Guido più di notte che di giorno"
      --> pronouns as direct objects or used with prepositions
      "Ama più te che me"
      "Voglio bene più a lui che a te"
      --> nouns and names as direct objects or when they follow the verb 'to be'
      "Mangio più spesso la pasta che la pizza"
      "La maestra ammira più Elena che Lila"
      "Andrea è più un meccanico che un idraulico"
      DI is used to compare
      --> subject pronouns (without prepositions)
      "Lui mi rispetta molto più di te"
      --> nouns and names as subjects
      "La pasta è più buona della pizza"
      "Lila è più coraggiosa di Elena"
      --> with some adverbs
      "Ti amo più di prima"
      "Marco ama i soldi più di tutto"

    "Così come" isn't used for equality comparison but in other cases. The sentence "Luigi è così alto come Sandro" is incorrect: we would say "Luigi è alto come Sandro" instead. "Luigi è tanto alto quanto Sandro" is correct but very uncommon.
