    I paused watching to come and say I too am on team big sink. My sink is enormous, intentionally. Cleaning with water in a giant tin can is difficult enough without trying to fight a microscopic sink.

    I love your video. I currently have a friend (69 years old) working in a gift shop at a lodge in Alaska for the summer. This might be something you can do and have your camper with you. I’ve traveled
    the Alaska Highway when traveling on a tour.
    I am 69 and love to travel. My friends don’t understand why new furniture and dust collectors don’t interest me. I’d rather have a memory that I can take with me. When I die I can’t take my money or furniture with me.
    When I was your age I was driving an 18 wheeler with my husband and a 3 year old daughter cross this beautiful country. Hugs from Arkansas. ❤️

    Glad to see Alex is healthy and back, smiling.
    I suspect she got sick because she sand paper fiberglass without wearing a mask. Sand papering yields a nasty dust.
    I have no interest in van life whatsoever, yet, i have been following Alex, through all her films.
    Honestly, i appreciate the great person she is. She takes on the world with courage and wit. She does it all with grace. She is out going, gentle, sensitive, authentic, vulnearable and optimistic.
    The more i listen to her, the more i like/respect her.
    English is not my first language, so this comment might look awkward, but i dont care.
    I cant change the way i feel.

    Really enjoy your adventures. :) I have one question for your next Q&A day: How do you monetize from youtube when you have no commercials? It's great from the viewer's point of view, but I don't see how that works.

    • @SheRoamsWild
      @SheRoamsWild  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Robert! Just so I don’t miss it next time, I do have ads on my channel, which is the main revenue source right now! But second to that you can also work with brands to highlight products or ads for them when values align :)

    • @robertstapleton3598

      @@SheRoamsWild Even though I don't plan on ever living in a van or bus, I find your adventures educational as well as entertaining. For example, I never knew that school buses were held together by screws! I'm still trying to show off what I've learned and work that into everyday conversation but I don't think I have it down yet. Usually goes something like this:
      "Good morning."
      "Yes, it's a beautiful day. And did you know that school busses were held together by screws?"
      I fear my technique is flawed.

    Why don't you have to be stealth? I'm curious the pros and cons of van or bus

    • @SheRoamsWild
      @SheRoamsWild  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! I tend to stay out of cities (like, I am almost never staying in the movernight), so I do not have to worry about "blending in" like I would in town. When parked out in the forest or desert, as long as you are parked legally on BLM or NF lands, you're all good to stay your limit! I used to think busses and vans were completely different in terms of lifestyle, but so far I have not found that to be the case! Maybe I will make a video on it after a few months on the road :)

      No A/C here! Typically the RV units can only be used when plugged into shore power (like a campground or house), and in seven months of travel in my van, I never had that opportunity. Going off of that experience, I opted to not put in an A/C, but have a fan up front, good insulation, and lots of windows for a nice cross breeze!

    Glad for your health improvement. It looks like some neat fixes in the back drop. Keep up the good work and eat low or no sugars, high in real foods. I am getting a little bit worried ... almost red flag territory and thus must unsubscribe. I respect profit over none profit (different than not for profit) the latter can take from others with them not having anything more than ideas. The latter is what "churches" do ... cultish.

    • @halasalready
      @halasalready 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That was a little weird. Are you saying that her business is giving you red flag vibes and that’s why you are unsubscribing? And, I’m pretty sure that you don’t have to worry about a cult issue wit her. She seems like she has a very level head.

    • @olbird7647
      @olbird7647 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm really surprised that you're getting 'cultish' vibes from someone who wants to help those who wouldn't usually be able to benefit from experiencing the great outdoors.
      Other than eventually receiving a reasonable salary and the usual organisational costs (i.e. licences, insurance, website, health & safety compliance etc, etc) any profits will likely go back into hiking and camping gear and subsidising trip costs to make them accessible to those who would not usually be able to afford them.
      There's absolutely nothing culty about that.
