How to find the Best Hidden Gems in Career Mode!

- Its finally time to have a look at some ways to find those hidden talents in your careers.
I’ll split this video into two sections, first we’ll look at how to find young players by scouting the transfer market, then we’ll look at how to get the very best youth players into your academy.
So lets start with some basics. Did you know you can actually see what potential a young player has? If you have a look at their player profile, you’ll notice one of 4 things written here. First we have ‘Joined the club in’ and then a year. This means they will have under 80 potential.

This is not writing in stone is it? Because I bought Hato from Ajax and he had showing great potential. I’ve been playing him every game (if he’s fit 🤨) and now he has “had potential to be special)
@@BSHokke Dynamic potential. If you play someone more and they're happy they can outgrow their potential. On my Venezia save I always use Gianluca Busio as my main CM. He started off at like 72 with a potential of 82 but now, after 5 seasons, he's at 90 OVR and still growing.

One addition to this. Players won’t show potential tags after they turn 22. So 21 and under will show great potential or PTBS etc. someone like Dan Ballard at Sunderland is 22, but says “at club since” and has 82 or so potential (showing great potential if he was 21 or younger). So there are still some gems you can find at 22 and up that won’t have potential tags.
Also if they are rated under 60 overall

Jörgen Straand Larssen is a good one he is always sick on my career mode, and he has a release clause for 12m in his contract

Honestly wish sofifa and them saying the potential weren’t in the game. I know you can scout but it’s just to tedious and takes your transfer budget to get any decent scout so I usually end up not using it
Long term pays off. I rather spend 2 mil on a scout then 2 mil on a player. The scouts make you money back

My suggestion if career mode gets boring is sell your superstars to bigger clubs and slowly find new hidden gems. Dortmund style(:
I had Mbappe who was level 97, he dipped to 96 so I thought it's time to sell.
I ended selling to spurs way too many players. A Wirtz 94, Xavier Simmons 88, Kvarastelia 91, and then Mbappe. Mbappe grew to level 99 and they came second in the league very close to me.
I won ofc, but I did not expect them to be so OP.
I search the free agents constantly in the game, if I’m rebuilding a team, those 70 Ovr free agents go crazy when they’re 17, they help in the long term
Literally same. I just quickly flick through and if i see like 80+ stats ill look lol
The youth scouts are so random in my experience. I have a 4/3 and two 1/1's, and in three seasons my 4/3 has come up with nothing special, a few players worth several hundred grand, and my 1/1's have brought back around 6 showing great potential, an exciting prospect, and a ptbs.

I'm usually playing low ranking 'poor' teams, and investing in the YA is a decent way to boost income. I spend most of my budget on getting one or two good scouts, and when they start bringing in results i keep the best ones and sign and sell the ones that won't make the cut -- all they need is getting transfer listed and some gametime to make the AI think they're good, and once they're sold you can bench them.
Easy couple of mil each transfer window.
There’s a kid named Ramos in fifa 23, Portuguese striker, I got him 90 rated with training for 1 season then loaning out

Was looking through free agents for re gens the other day, stumbled across benzema’s one and was 96 rating at 20 years old
Mine was 94 at 18 his regens are SO OP!!!

@@hamaadayaz3658 I got the same . 94 rating at 18. Better believe I snapped him up lol. I converted him into a CAM as I already had a 92 rated striker I'd developed from the academy.
When do re gens hit the market? Your day 1 of the season?

i got modric regen 78 rating a16 years old, ive been playing career mode for years now and this is biggest wonderkid ive ever got, hes now 83 rating 17years old i sent him to loan for first 6 months and he got +3 and spring part of season +2 by playing activly in the first team.
benzema's regen is BY FAR the best, hes always like an 86+ when you find him
How do you find him?
@@BSHokke you have to look in the search player area, and put the filter to a french player and the age between like 16 and 19. he could either be a free agent, OR he’s gonna be on the same team that benzema retired on in your career mode, so you can also filter that same team. look through all these options of players until you find someone that is a CF/ST and has really good stats. once you sign him, you can really confirm it’s him by going to edit player and going on the player to see if his birthday is the same as benzemas, if it is, then it is his regen. hope this helped

Regens have potential +1 and have normal ratings for the age/potential (unless their are CF or CB). Pregens on the other hand are totally stupid. I had a Virgil Van Dyke pregen who was 17, had an overall rating of 83 and a potential of 85. It makes Gavi, a young player with a relativley low potential for an 80 rated 17 year old, eat his heart out.
I got William Colin of France rated 94 OVR and just 19 years old in free agents,he just randomly popped in one of the scouting report

AEP - 86-90 potential
PTBS - 91-96 potential
I found a player called Joseph Sanchez once, was a free agent with 92 ovr and 18 yrs old, he got to 99ovr at 22 yrs old remained so till i finished all my career seasons😊
I found lewa regen free agent 86 rated and when I ended my career he was 93 rated
had a 15 year blackburn career mode winning 39 trophies, along with kubo, a benzema and a navas regen.

Anybody have an issue on their save where almost all players they list for loan, they only get offers to loans with option to buy? Most clubs end negotiations when I try to remove option to buy
Delegate the negotiations and most of the time they’ll be able to negotiate to a loan without buy option. I’ve found that if the player is

Benzema retired in my road to glory. His regen showed up with 92 overall at 19 years old
Benzema plays for a long time up until he's 38 buffon once played up until season 11 where he was 57 playing in some random Chinese club same with Phil Jones he was in India

Yes of course you can go to other teams in whatever league you want.

How do you see their date of birth on console? And is 'Has that Special Something' the same as 'Potential to be Special'?
'Has that special something' is definitely not the same. Some 28 yr olds that are 75 rated have 'has that special something' so dont waste your time bro

Do you really have an 80 OVR gk as crucial?
Depends on the club back on fifa 18 I had Peter cech as crucial for arsenal but he was high rated until he declined he kept demanding crucial but I could not refuse
so sad that this hasnt changed AT ALL since 10+ years ago. lazy EA
