That’s exactly what I was thinking. FIFA 14 is my favourite FIFA ever but definitely only on next gen. The dribbling on that game is elite and hasn’t felt the same again. Such fun gameplay and the players are so nostalgic.
FIFA 14 on Next gen is regarded as one of the best FIFA games ever. I bought it in 2021, and it was a really nice surprise, very enjoyable gameplay and I like the looks of the game. Started a career mode with Morecambe(football league 2) and 5 seasons on, we are fighting for a spot on the premier league. I played with scout/trainer restrictions, like I couldn't buy them with more stars them the quality of the team, and buying player I add similar restrictions, nonetheless I bought Kante, Delle Ali, Grimaldo and others. 10 years later, FIFA 14, on PS4, is a very good football game.
This is what I wanted to say. FIFA 14 WAS released on PS4 and it was amazing. I think there was some features stripped away but the gameplay was probably the best it ever was (or has been).
FC24 at best is D tier. The gameplay keeps getting worse, decades old bugs that are still present, AI blatantly cheating in game, FUT taking up even more space than it ever did before
EA FC 24 it's just a garbage. Rank D-tier easily. And we shouldn't put any expectations in EA FC 25, in fact we should just dropped and don't support it in any circunstancies. EA NEED TO SINK WITH THAT CASSINO MODE ~FUT~ AND START TO LOOK TO OTHER MODES LIKE CAREER MODE.
FA Premier League Stars (Also made by EA sports) had a similar mode with seasons and transfers etc. and that was released back in 1999, so not sure why it wasn’t included in FIFA for years after
I seem to be in the massive minority here but I really enjoyed. The best thing about it is that the defensive AI is so so much better than the more modern games. Defensive midfielders actually track back and follow advancing midfielders rather than standing on the edge of the box like they do now. Yes, this made the gameplay slower but it meant you couldn't just abuse pace or spam crosses like other fifa titles and breaking down the AI through good passing moves feels so satisfying
As for me, the most enjoyable gameplay in FIFA 17. This game is based on the next gen frostbite engine, as well as all subsequent FIFA, including FC24. But in FIFA 17, the bot did not cheat against you, there was no insane tiki taka when it is impossible to pick up the ball and the AI just scores fraudulent goals. In FIFA 17, the AI played fair, its attacks could be countered, you didn't feel cheated. That's why this part is the best for me.
4:38 that is the PC version though I think. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions have completely different engine for FIFA 07 to 10 and even standalone games like Euro 2008, UEFA Champions League 2006-07 and World Cup benefited from that.
I was born in the year when you first played FIFA in 1999. A lot of respect! I get a lot of inspiration for the game from you to keep my careermodes fun every time. Keep on the great content!
As someone who is also 30 next year i appreciate someone talking about the ones from our childhood, 2003-05 were the best trilogy when i was young but yes those PES games back then were also incredible just as good if not better for some. It was such a nothing feature but being able to change the top and shorts you were playing with was incredible, home top with away shorts to make some games easier to tell teams apart

FIFA 14 in the D-tier ? Are you kidding me it's an easy A-tier game or more than that.
FC 25 can be one of the greatest games ever at least for career mode if they add: realistic AI transfers and transfer policies online career mode editing kits for all clubs not just create a club. less scripting (won't happen)
I hope I don't come across as biased but FIFA 15 was a blast and career mode was too. Every now and then I go back and play a career mode there and end up doing a few seasons.
8:48 I mean FIFA 14 was the first game for the Next Gen consoles. There were 2 versions of FIFA 14. The PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 edition which had the same engine from 12 and 13, and then we had the Xbox One/PS4 version that had the Ignite engine.
FIFA 2002 had simple and predictable gameplay, you could win games by making the opponent team get 5 red cards (lol), but my biggest issue with this game is, when a player gets injured, ingame, the game just forgets about it, and after the game, the player just appears fit and not injured in the squad, an issue, that was not present in FIFA 2001
wtf, fifa 14 isnt by far the worst fifa. specialy considering the newest titels that came out. jesus christ man.from fifa 10 to 16 that where the best fifa games they put out there.
8:28 "Ronaldo is borderline unusable" WHAT?! He was literally the best striker in the game for me, won headers, had 5* skills and his FK were like his irl counterpart in 08, no disrespect but you were using him wrong if you think he's unstable. Messi was better for the meta I agree 100% but I'd use him more as a 10 for his longshots (that were kinda broken in this game) and dribbling. Shout-out Suarez too, absolute Gunman that year.
8:23 are we playing the same game lol. Ronaldo in FIFA 15 is litelarly unstopable, he gets the ball and you know it will be an automatic goal. His pace is also insane he is literaly one of the fastest in the game
There’s one Fifa Career mode where you could give exp points to individual stats of your players. Anyone know which Fifa this was? It must be 06, 07, 08, 09 or 10😭
The PC versions are noticeable different from their console counterparts PS3 and X360 until FIFA 12, the console versions were much better, in FIFA 09 for example there's a huge difference
5:50 PES 2008 and 2014 are contenders for being the worst PES games of all time. PES 2009 and 2010 were good comebacks and gave good competition to FIFA 09 and 10.
Bro, I'll have to call cap on what you said about fifa 15, up throughs were so broken it was irritating, I can vaguely remember everyone I knew choosing Madrid and Dortmund soley for that reason.
8:00 really? I thought FIFA 14 was the same as FIFA 13. The modding community for the PC version of FIFA 14 is incredible. I am not sure if you tried the XBOX One or PS4 version of FIFA 14 which was a big improvement from the previous gen versions.
I always “enjoy” the career modes more depending on the saves I did. Ie I had an amazing Portsmouth on FIFA 13 which makes it one of my favourite versions 🙌
my tierlist (havent played every fifa game) A: Fifa 21 (still play it) B: Fifa 23 (still play with mods) C: Fifa 20, Fifa 19 (i guess i cant make more tiers and between fifa 19 and 20 i used to prefer fifa 20 more but i played like 1 career so idk)
I started playing at 97. I'll say 99 is the best PS1 one 06 is the best PS2 one unless you count 07 however PES 4,5&6 are far superior games, the greatest Football games of all time in my opinion 10, 12, 07, 09, 13, 11, 08 in that order for the PS3/ 360, I included that many because they were all great games 14,17 for the PS4 21 for the PS5. If they sort out the gameplay, these current FIFA's would actually be amazing. These are just my opinions
FIFA 23. Forget real managers. They gave us ted lasso and AFC Richmond 😂😂 absolute legends. As well as real faces for majority of the team. Did a player career with Tarte, manager career with Ted and Roy Kent
Never got to grips with FIFA 24 personally. The gameplay is too slow. Don't get me wrong, I love slow gameplay, PES 2020/2021 are probably 2 of my top 3 football games ever made, but EA doesn't do it right. It's slow to the point of unresponsiveness. The goalkeeper animations I'm convinced are taken from Harry Kane in that one Europa League match, which has been an issue since 22, but it gets progressively worse every year. There's also a lot more RNG. Fouls get called for no contact while they do not get called at all when they should be, passing and shooting directions rarely go to where you point them, hell sometimes you pass to a player and you can't lock on to him to receive the ball. The career features, being coaches and training plans, are nothing more than an annoyance. It's just clicking on a menu, and if you get something wrong you better have a recent save file to go back to. It's not like injuries where a setback can be realistic, no manager on earth would forget there is a game next week and would keep tiring his players up to that. My last game was a few months ago, it was a 2-1 game with many chances, that ended by my goalkeeper saving a penalty at the end and scoring a winner on the other end in injury time. Usually I'd be excited to have a match like that, but all I could think of when it was over was "I'm glad this is over, this was annoying". That's basically where I realised there is no reason to try and gaslight myself into liking this game. I'd rather play PES 21 or an older FIFA
My first fifa was fifa 8, i was like 6 years old with didnt know any english so my uncle just put me barcelona against crystal palace for example for me to play. This is the time where I realized if I pass to messi I would win xD and I start to like messi thx to fifa 08. My first fifa that I played career mode was 19. I think it was decent, but I didnt like gameplay. It was impossible to score from header or crosses and if you had fast players you would outrun anyone. 20 was horrible I only played it like 2 months before ditching it. For me 23 is the best fifa I played so far. Gameplay is fun, finally you can score from crosses and headers, the hypermation is cool feature and with mods is a strong A tier for me.
I think PES games went downhill after 5 and PES 4 was the best of them. World Cup '98 EA Sports game was first football game I think I played. I really always enjoyed FIFA '99 too at the time. I enjoyed FIFA 2004 and '06 most.
Thanks for talking about this! My experience. Fifa 09 (wii) = never really tried career, too young. more so kick off. still a decent game for the wii. B Fifa 11 (wii). Classic (but maybe j nostalgia?). s/o to the "streets to stadiums" player career type. B Fifa 13 (wii). also had the "streets to stadiums" mode. complete clone of 11 in that regard except for a diff. transfer system and only lasting 5 szns (rather than 8). 11 B, 13 C. Generational soundtrack on both. Fifa 14 (360). Was more into kickoff at the time tho. Some good wonderkids tho, and fun gameplay. B Fifa 15 (360). Decent game, no complaints. B Fifa 16 (360). The first game I really played at the time it came out (I have mostly come back to the previous games a few years after the fact). Had a super dope Blackpool career with some real legends, S tier. Fifa 17 (xb1). Overall a good game, first crack at the Youth Squad Legends type save I do every year a la Cutzy. A tier. Fifa 18 (xb1). Decent, pretty sure an all time high for nat'l teams in game. From here on out I almost exclusively played youth-based saves. B tier. Fifa 19 (xb1). Finally won the UCL (and even better that that licensing was there, as well as number changes for promotions). S tier Fifa 20 (xb1). Get this game in the bin, league tables were an absolute joke (100pt title wins and 10pt relegations). Ironically only a good game for playing in South America (4 leagues in base game + Libertadores DLC). D tier, bordering on F. Fifa 21 (xb1). Almost the perfect game save for some pretty bad AI squad building. A tier. Fifa 22 (xb1). Removed many nat'l teams, but I did a pretty fun "Triple Crown" save attempting to win the continental championships in Asia/SA/Europe. Create a club also great addition, so B Fifa 23 (pc). First year at uni, played this game a ton. Re-created Catania and won them the UCL. Good game, A tier. EAFC (pc, xb1). Got a diff PC, could barely run the game. Now I'm playing it on xb1 and it's better, but a few bad bugs. C tier. So in sum: S tier: 16, 19 A tier: 17, 21, 23 B tier: 09, 11, 14, 15, 18, 22 C tier: 13, 24 D tier: 20. Would love to hear your thoughts!
Never really got into football games until fifa 20. Only with the new games did I realize just how bad it was gameplay-wise. Hey, at least the soundtrack's good!
Please, never rank again😭
Try FIFA 14 on next gen, the difference is night and day to it’s last gen equivalent
That’s exactly what I was thinking. FIFA 14 is my favourite FIFA ever but definitely only on next gen. The dribbling on that game is elite and hasn’t felt the same again. Such fun gameplay and the players are so nostalgic.
Sounds daft but how do you get it for series x
FIFA 14 on Next gen is regarded as one of the best FIFA games ever. I bought it in 2021, and it was a really nice surprise, very enjoyable gameplay and I like the looks of the game.

We’re fighting a losing battle unfortunately
As long as their casino is generating more money career mode is screwed
If you don't like, that's not EA problem
Fifa 17 is one of the best and most fun games I’ve played, but for me fifa 21 is also a little bit underrated by many, I really enjoyed it
FIFA 2005 was my favourite, partially cause it’s the only game that made you start from the bottom and work your way up in career mode
As an Arsenal fan I found it very easy to play with Arsenal because of Thierry Henry in it lol
FIFA 19 is super underrated
Personally, I found the gameplay was annoying because literally every header, volley, or long range shot were conceded
Broo someone had to say it, how did he say he felt no nostalgia playing it??? It's literally one of the most nostalgic things i did this year
Not until you hopped online and got slapped with 5 back post headers
@@evasegod exactly
Both are the same lol😂

Damn
Don't bring the unc stuff to my king geo
Nah tbh I thought he was 21 or something
he was born in 1994 and already 30, damn times fly too fast

FA Premier League Stars (Also made by EA sports) had a similar mode with seasons and transfers etc. and that was released back in 1999, so not sure why it wasn’t included in FIFA for years after
You have to be crazy to rank Fifa 14 on D tier
FIFA 20 was the worst football game I’ve ever played

Skill issue
Fifa 14 came out for PS4. The PC version is the same with the PS3, but the PS4 version was actually next gen. Fifa 15 isn’t the first PS4 FIFA
Fifa 17 is my favorite Fifa game, i don't know how many hours i put into it, but it was a lot
"It didn't have career mode" lol back then Season was Career Mode... Remember playing lots of seasons on Fifa 2000, it even had promotions and stuff.
Even fifa 2002 had relegation and promotion as well
As for me, the most enjoyable gameplay in FIFA 17. This game is based on the next gen frostbite engine, as well as all subsequent FIFA, including FC24. “So Fifa 23 is a C tier game!” *Puts it in the B tier instead!!* 😂
Fifa 14 on PC is the old gen version (PS3/Xbox 360). You have to play the PS4 or Xbox One version to have the real game
FIFA 11 and 12 are two very different games man 😅
4:38 that is the PC version though I think. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions have completely different engine for FIFA 07 to 10 and even standalone games like Euro 2008, UEFA Champions League 2006-07 and World Cup benefited from that.
Looking at this ranking looks like you didn't play these games for real.
16 and 17 had such good gameplay
I was born in the year when you first played FIFA in 1999. A lot of respect! I get a lot of inspiration for the game from you to keep my careermodes fun every time. Keep on the great content!
For me it's 2009, 2010 and 2017. But 2009 man, building up your stadium and infrastructure, hiring sponsorships, growth graph, amazing
As someone who is also 30 next year i appreciate someone talking about the ones from our childhood, 2003-05 were the best trilogy when i was young but yes those PES games back then were also incredible just as good if not better for some. FC 25 can be one of the greatest games ever at least for career mode if they add:
realistic AI transfers and transfer policies
online career mode
editing kits for all clubs not just create a club.
less scripting (won't happen)
Fr the scripting is trash whenever they start ultimate attacking you concede about 2 goals in the end plus the commentators curse you
Fifa 16 gameplay is pure chaos ball and I loved and still love it
FIFA 16 ball physics are the best
So right
I hope I don't come across as biased but FIFA 15 was a blast and career mode was too. Every now and then I go back and play a career mode there and end up doing a few seasons.
Fifa 13, had the pen to sign players in career mode, new from fifa 12
3:33 PES was the go to game in the mid-2000s. It started to change around 2007/08 when FIFA brought in the new engine.
fifa 14 career mode was the best career mode I ever saw
8:48 I mean FIFA 14 was the first game for the Next Gen consoles. There were 2 versions of FIFA 14. The PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 edition which had the same engine from 12 and 13, and then we had the Xbox One/PS4 version that had the Ignite engine.
FIFA 13 is my childhood so for me its best because of kid nostalgia
1:51 Who doesn't remember the Brazil squad from the 1999-2000 season and its famous n°9: No. 9
Nothing strikes more memories than FIFA 07, the whole country was playing it for years
Fifa 03 had 2 player career mode was sensational cant remember how long it went for but you literally could play with your brother
Fc24 is the worst fifa I’ve ever played
2:18 wtf is matthaus doing in goalkeeper
FIFA 2002 had simple and predictable gameplay, you could win games by making the opponent team get 5 red cards (lol), but my biggest issue with this game is, when a player gets injured, ingame, the game just forgets about it, and after the game, the player just appears fit and not injured in the squad, an issue, that was not present in FIFA 2001
Fifa 16 on ps3 is my fav, no crappy training or cutscenes, amazing gameplay and bloody hard on legendary.
So if Im looking for a soccer game to play career mode on Nintendo switch, what game should I get? Pixel cup soccer? 😅
wtf, fifa 14 isnt by far the worst fifa. specialy considering the newest titels that came out. jesus christ man.from fifa 10 to 16 that where the best fifa games they put out there.
True, solid games and you still can find gameplay mods and ways to alter the career mode in a more realistic way.
Fun fact: real life Ronaldo in 2014-15 was unstoppable and him on the ball was almost an automatic goal.
Fifa 16 and almost ever other fifa after 20 better than fifa 15??? You’ve lost me
Fifa 15 sucks so hard broe 🚮
Man fifa 08 was so good. Brings back lots of memories!
Fifa 98 career mode massively underrated
Fifa 13 is the greatest of all time.
You miss the ps2 ps3 transition of the fifa franchise. The a tier game you put is actually fifa 07, not 08. I think you should play them all first.
I too thought about that even-odd numbered games theory
There’s one Fifa Career mode where you could give exp points to individual stats of your players. Anyone know which Fifa this was? It must be 06, 07, 08, 09 or 10😭
I remember on Fifa 07 I managed to get Ronaldo as a free transfer on th 3rd season of manager mode... happy times 😂
FC 24 in B tier HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Fifa 2002 Career Mode was very good

FIFA 08 and 10 were amazing 😭

FIFA 07 has the best career mode
How can you buy older FIFAs for XBOX Series S? When I search them up,they are always not available.
You can't. You can download emulation software and then play them via emulation. Videos on TH-cam explaining how to do it. 😊

10, 12, 07, 09, 13, 11, 08 in that order for the PS3/ 360, I included that many because they were all great games
14,17 for the PS4
21 for the PS5.
If they sort out the gameplay, these current FIFA's would actually be amazing. These are just my opinions
Me watching this with my favorite game being FIFA 19 Legacy Edition lmao
Can you do a exeter city rebuild please its my birthday❤
14 was on ps4 and was the 1st fifa title released on that console not 15
Love your channel, but Fifa 17's gameplay was not a step up from Fifa 16,quite the opposite, because of Frostbyte
Can you make a video on youth scouting because some TH-camrs wait like 3 months and sign 1 player to the youth academy
This man here disrespecting FIFA 14, one of the best football videogames of all time 😢
6:13 such a shame because the PC version of FIFA 10 is not that great at all. The PS3 and 360 versions look completely different.

Fifa 12 is the one who innovated most
Ea should add manager mode but like in diferent years/eras
I dont want to buy 10 year old games just to make dumb teams that come to mind
fifa 08 console ver had more ''weight'' to it in gamplay, movement and shots compared to 09' fifa 10 and 15 was fun
Fifa 13 had great customization!

S tier
Fifa 20 (xb1).
Create a club also great addition, so B
Fifa 23 (pc). First year at uni, played this game a ton. Re-created Catania and won them the UCL. Good game, A tier.
EAFC (pc, xb1). Got a diff PC, could barely run the game. Now I'm playing it on xb1 and it's better, but a few bad bugs. C tier.
So in sum:
S tier: 16, 19
A tier: 17, 21, 23
B tier: 09, 11, 14, 15, 18, 22
C tier: 13, 24
D tier: 20.
Would love to hear your thoughts!
FIFA07 is the goat, FIFA08 doesn't add much on FIFA07 they are so similar FIFA07 have better soundtracks and menu images

I don’t agree about FIFA 14
Never really got into football games until fifa 20. Only with the new games did I realize just how bad it was gameplay-wise. Hey, at least the soundtrack's good!
Didin't expect you to be 30
You sound much younger
Yeah, in my head all fifa youtubers are 25 or younger
