    Jon Finkel is basically the reason we need a Hall of Fame.

    High Quality magic right here. Also, no collected company, which is nice, 'cause there's a ton of it in the other decks. It's fun to watch what two pro-level decks can do when they get access to an utterly stupid amount of mana.

    Comment if you're here in 2024. I loved Jon's GB deck. Praying one day we can play this in pioneer.

      +Zak Aaron Mylastname Actually, because of how ugly it all looks, it's subtly distracting to your opponent. That's a little advantage, but it can be huge competitively.

    did anyobe notice at around 16:40. nissa was played, but how, he had two swamps and GB manland

    • @parkerdixon-word6295
      @parkerdixon-word6295 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Kadeem Alexander presumably the manland came in 1st or 2nd turn and became untapped before the second swamp came in. Maybe, I might be mis-interpreting your question.

    • @kadeemalexander8528
      @kadeemalexander8528 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Parker Dixon-Word meaning he had 1green mana and 2black mana. so how was nissa played

    • @YoshiOfADown
      @YoshiOfADown 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Kadeem Alexander Real? Nissa only needs a single green and two generic to cast... He had the right mana.

      Ruinous path? Eesh. Similar things were said about Lili last hope and Gideon Ally, though. Gideon was super dominant for this beast of a standard run, with the extended rotation

    Is this the end of 90 to 100 dollar Jace?~!

    • @marten7715
      @marten7715 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably. Jace is still a good card, but when his filtering was really good for making your mana base work and he had fetches to fill the yard, he was ridiculous. Now he's a little too slow against decks like Humans and Company.

    Standard is so bad

    • @Ladyrosieparks
      @Ladyrosieparks 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Aaron Wolter What exactly do you want out of Standard? There's a top 8 with 8 unique lists and plenty of other strategies that didn't quite get there, slow grindy decks, aggressive decks, burn, ramp, combo, midrange. Like literally what is it you don't see in standard that you wish were there?

    • @sogy32
      @sogy32 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +ladyrosie parks I hate the new rotation making it so expensive like if I want a jace or a playset I have to pay $300-$400 as in the meta it's really different but that will change when dragons and origins rotates, when EM comes out its going to be a stagnant meta.

    • @Ladyrosieparks
      @Ladyrosieparks 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +Aaron Wolter so what you're saying is standard is so bad because jace is expensive on a video of two decks facing off that got into the top 8 neither of which plays blue?

    • @mtgmajor211
      @mtgmajor211 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +ladyrosie parks ikr standard is great atm

    • @sogy32
      @sogy32 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +ladyrosie parks I've always hated standard you use the best cards that are now but when they rotate out your cards are so useless when I play magic I want to use the cards I buy not be completely screwed when my deck rotates it's starting back at square one edh is the only thing I play I used to play standard but am a college student and can't afford to keep spending 200-300 dollars I was with standard for the 3 set rotates but the 2 is to fast for me
