@@hrdkor79 Totally. The ADV battle cleaver is one that will eventually be in my collection. That's one that I've had my eyes on for a while.
The color on the scales line up so well with each side. I bet it is a special run by some guy, as you said.

I got to meet Mr Nichols at the USA Made Blade open house a couple weeks ago; really good dude. I bought one of his Battleship kitchen knives. The handle is made from reclaimed lumber from the deck of the USS North Carolina. My grandpa was in the Navy in WW2 and, even though he wasn’t on the Carolina, this makes me think of him. The knife wasn’t cheap but I’m happy to support a small business owner and have a little piece of history.
I want a cleaver with a handle made of candy too

That's looks like some G-carta from G.L. Hansen and sons. They makes really cool stuff. I'm making some Spyderco mule team scales from stuff from them.

I like everything about it except it's size. I'm one of those weird people who like cleavers and the colors really work for me. I'd have to hold it in my hand for a while but at first glance, I think it's too small for my hand. I also like that it's different. Hopefully they have some other designs they're working on that might be on display in the future.
one knife forum had guy making something like for cutting limes for gin and tonics. Knives like that also make awesome patch knives for traditional muzzleloading rifles

I'm pattern color blind , so im probably not seeing the actual colors. Having said that I wouldn't buy this knife because of the colors.

Nitro v steel is what they use for these. I'm not too familiar with it but I believe it's compared to AEB-L. NICE!
I think it’s a pretty cool design. Love how different it is compared to most of what’s out these days.
On another subject, recently saw a post you made showing a Sebenza with scrolling engraving. I don’t know where I saw the post but I’m pretty sure it was Metal Complex. I would really like to know who did the work. I am very interested in getting some engraving done on several knives. Thanks.

I have the mini cleaver with the battleship teak handles and the blade steel used on it is Nitro-V pretty sure all of Nichols mini cleavers use it as well. the only reason I bought it is because I thought it was cool that Nichols used teak wood from the deck of the USS North Carolina battleship for the handles. your basically holding a piece of history in your hands because of the teak wood.

I’ve honestly been interested in a cleaver, and I like this one, but I looked it up and it’s $300 lmao cmon man. Wtf is that price point? Nitro v steel too… why on earth is this so expensive?
Because you’re getting a completely hand made American knife along with a hand made sheath. That’s par for the course. $300 is completely reasonable for this knife. If you can’t see why the price fits, I’m sure there’s a civivi for you for under $50.
@@Sleepy_spartan717 No there isnt. You can get a Bradford Guardian 3 that is all those things PLUS better steel for almost half the price

It’s just a cleaver. Full tang cool. But there’s nothing special about it besides the fact it’s hand made. $300 is steep no matter how you slice it.

Hiya mc, i was given this mounted knife set which turned out to be the 1981 rawhide series by queen cutlery company out of titusville Pennsylvania was purchased at beachfront boulevard losangeles in 1988. What do u know of queen cutlery and these knives they are brand new. Cheers man u have an awesome channel just purchased the second iteration of LanCay m9 ,waiting for it to arrive in the post. For my pocket knife collection just got another pm2 camo black blade have the satin bladed version cf bugout these have finished off my collection til next year have my eye on a buck m9 bayonet finally ,will purchase with xmas money just lovin it man very lucky to have the collections and things i have life is good dont tell mum shell b pissed....regards damo.

Unpopular opinion here. Clever blades aren over rated. Only place they belong is in the food prep in the kitchen.
Sometimes its less about function and more about enjoying the object as it is. To each their own
