  • This vlog is all about the ghat road stretch between Mysore - Madikeri- Sampaje - Sullia and Mangalore.
    Since the Shiradi Ghat connecting Bangalore and Mangalore has been closed for the maintenance work now, Madiker Sampaje Sullia ghat is one of the major alternative for the travelers.
    Watch all the Ghat roads of Karnataka here in the playlist:
    • Hulikal Ghat Road | Ba...
    Actual ghat stretch between Madikeri and Sampaje is only of 30 Kms long.
    Along this route you will get diversions to the major tourist attractions of corrg like Mandalapatti, Abbey Falls, Bhagamandala and Talakaveri.
    Mandalapatti is one of the thrilling offroad destination to the beatiful viewpoint from where most of the Pushpagiri mountain ranges can be seen. Mandalapatti is just 17 Kms from the diversion shown in the video.
    Also watch our recent vlog on offroad biking to Mandalapatti viewpoint here: • Mandalpatti | Mandalpa...
    Abbey falls is one of the not to miss places around coorg which should be visited during mansoon season. Abbey falls also called as Abbi falls is just 4 kms from the diversion shown in the video.
    Bhagamandala is famous pilgrimage spot near Madikeri of Coorg. People take bath in Triveni sangama in Bhagamandala and pay their visit to famous Bhaganandeshwara temple. Bhagamandala is 32 kms away from Madikeri - Sullia ghat road.
    Talakaveri si yet another must visit place if you are travelling through Madikeri Managlore ghat road. Talakaveri is considered as source place of River Kaveri. Along with the temple Talakaveri also offers a beautiful view point.
    While driving through Madikeri Sampaje ghat road you must be very cautious about the oncoming traffic, since it is single lane road and lot of heavy vehicle and reckless drivers drive through the road with least road sense. Some of the examples of such drivers are shown in the vlog.
    Hope you have enjoyed watching this vlog.
    thanks for stopping by.

    I have recently driven to Mangalore from Coorg, awesome greenery and views, but be careful of idiots on roads who drive very rashly. God should keep an eye on locals who stay there.

    • @lores3860
      @lores3860 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      karthik salian Im from Sullia.traveld most of the Karnataka and to be honest Mangalore drivers.. dnt follow lane discipline.

    • @StepsTogether
      @StepsTogether  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      karthik salian I have to agree with Lawrence that in coastal Karnataka Private bus drivers are the worst. Apart from that I have seen the worst drivers around Karolbagh region of Delhi. Its a nightmare to drive there.

    • @StepsTogether
      @StepsTogether  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      lawrence d.souza Completely agree. Private bus drivers do create havoc by overspeeding, unnecessary honking and dominating every other drivers on the road there around Mangalore and Udupi.

    • @comfortablydumbb
      @comfortablydumbb 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Private buses between Mangalore and Udupi have a fixed time to reach each and every bus stop in between them. They are not allowed to pick up passengers if they don't reach a particular place at the specified time. The staff get commission for picking up more people. With so many buses plying there.. almost every minute... there's some kind of competition. Hence, the drivers drive like crazy!!! But it's fun sometimes.

    • @karthiksalian
      @karthiksalian 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      but they boss over other smaller vehicles without any regard for rules..i have'nt traveled a lot in karnataka, i am from mangalore, i will have to take the word of people who traveled throughout karnataka
