- In this video we'll be taking a look at a few of the whistles created for the Western North Carolina Railroad's whistle mod pack. This pack is currently not being released to the public.
Thanks to everyone who made this possible!

Really fell in love with that Southern 3 Chime ngl
At 3:49, that Princeton 3 chime was, without a doubt, my favorite whistle in this video, besides the Crosby 3 chime.
Possibly the best recreation of it I’ve heard so far. Princeton 3 is hands down my absolute favorite, hope this gets a public release one day
Me too!
Who else wants to hear the Dollywood Princeton 3 chime as a version 2 recording of that?
ET&WNC should have stayed in business. But the march of time comes for them eventually. Would have loved to work on that railroad or the L&N
Would love to see this public use
Unfortunately, We have no timeline for a public release and there is a significant chance it will not be made public. The pack is only being distributed as a token of appreciation for long standing and contributing members of our community.
We're constantly updating it and I believe the count as of today is around 40 whistles. We've already edited or replaced several of the recordings in this video so some are out of date.
Thanks for watching!
Hi, long standing and contributing member here. The WNCRR is always looking for new membership who are mature and have a passion for railroading in general. The other members are actually quite informative and neat to be around, and occasionally host their own railroads. You can join using the link in the description, and stop in to see what we have to offer!
Any new updates for public release? I would love to have this!
I don’t know if it’s true, but the Crosby 3 chime version 3 sounds like it was recorded on southern railway 4501.
You could be right. If anything, it sounds a lot like the L&N Crosby that 4501 had 5 years ago.
