This course was built on my Grandfather's family farm, where he, and eventually my mom, spent their summers. I'm so happy to see it coming back to life, and can't wait to play it. I just wish my great grandparents could see how their favorite place on earth is becoming a favorite place to so many others!
Thank you and your family for your contribution to golf. Me and my buddies have been dreaming of playing here for years and finally have a tee time set next Saturday!! Absolutely can't wait
I’m so glad you got to play it multiple times. Most people can’t justify playing it more than once at $120-$150 a round. also, I’m curious how y’all stay open because whenever I look at teetimes for this course almost every single one of them is available.
I was brought by a friend to Tot Hill Farm about 8 years ago and it was great! Love the Mike Strantz course, he had a vision that was so player centric. He proved you don’t need a big name to create legendary courses
I made a detour on my way to Myrtle Beach probably 17 years ago and played here. Really cool design, typical Strantz haha. Happy to hear they are giving it the love it deserves!
I’ve played that course numerous times and it never plays the same every time I play it. Haven’t been since the new owners took over but it looks like the gem it use to be. Great video guys!
Would always stop at Tot Hill on our way down to Pinehurst for our annual golf trip. Never paid more than $50. When they jacked it up to $150 this year, it was a unanimous "No" from all 12 of us. Too bad cause it is a great course. I think the $4 million they put into renovations would have been better served to put into marketing to get more play. I can't imagine where they could have possibly put $4 mil into renovations. The course was always a great lay out and in good shape.
Man I miss playing THF for around $50. Used to play it all the time. I live about 30 minutes away. I was so bummed when they tripled to the rate after the restoration. I get that restorations cost money but I just can’t justify $150. The course is fun but there are tons of really good courses around here that are in great shape for $50. I just think THF is overpriced now.
I live about 10 minutes from THF. I've played it probably 100 times since it opened. Glad to see it get the renovation/love it deserved. Hate that they priced out the locals that supported them through the tough times. May go back, may not. I check their tee sheet a lot and it seems to be wide open all the time. Maybe they'll drop prices at some point. Until then I doubt I return. I miss the place like an old lost friend.
that’s what I’m saying, man. And you can tell that golfers aren’t going to it for that price because if you go on GolfNow almost every single tee time is open. I mean like you said it used to be $50. You can play the champions course in Greensboro at Bryan Park for that. For $150 you can play at tobacco Road and for just a little bit more than the $150 that they charge you can go play at Pine Needles. Anyways, I digress. I’m sure if this course can brand themselves correctly they may be able to get their $150 but I just don’t see the value when there are so many other options for way less and considering that only a short time ago, it was affordable.
It is hard to believe that you can play a rocky "mountain" course with trout steams about one hour away from the sandy pine trees of Pinehurst. I think I posted a comment on your tobacco road video suggesting you check this course out and I am glad to see you did. Good video.
@@Golficity Primland, a top end resort in SW Virginia, is rarely seen but it has the best greens I have ever played. It is wall to bent grass and you could put a green anywhere. Check it out.
Thanks for producing the video and sharing a great story. Did i miss in the video and description where this course is located? Also strong video title 🖱️👀
I haven’t seen Tot Hill Farm in person but from some of what I see in this video it looks like what Mike Strantz might have done if he designed Crystal Springs. *great wedge over that rock by the way.
Great design by Mike Strantz, I see it has been renovated. This course will not survive at $150 bucks a round, give us a break. This place will go bankrupt in the near future if fees are not reduced.

Played it today. Wow, the post renovations are absolutely amazing. Loved this place. Shot 71 from the tips and couldn't be happier

Played it once when I was a pastor in Sanford, NC. It was a beautiful challenge. I hope to play there again one day.
That was fantastic fellas, what a beautiful course, just stunning...Great vid, I really enjoyed that ⛳️🏌♂️👍 keep 'em coming
If you love Strantz, you need to get to Williamsburg and play Royal New Kent. You'll love it.
absolutely beautiful course, one of the more unique ones I've seen
Great video fellas!!! People, sign up for the weekend!! LETS GO!!

Played here for the first time the same day you filmed. Place is special, also helps the cause getting an ace on 15 during your first loop
what a beauty looking place. wow, such a rustic county vibe. my dad would LOVE that place.
Took my dad out to play here today and he absolutely fucking loved it

Great video guys. I love the Strantz design. Played Tobacco Road last year for the first time and now I have to add this one to the list!

fun video to watch ! Gotta put Tot Hill on my list. I am a huge fan of Mike Strantz and have played True Blue, Caledonia and Royal New Kent.
Awesome! Were looking to play and film all 9
What a track! Feels other-worldly
These are the best style of golf video
🙏🏼
@@Golficity you guys are awesome, my cousin and I are a lot like you guys!
Played here 2009 and loved it.

Played Tot Hill last fall for the Iron Maverick. Unreal track. Strantz gem 💎
Played and absolutely love it. It’s 40 minutes from my house
This is a quick, 80 or so mile from my home in North Carolina…..a long way from my roots in Warwick, NY 👊🏼
And it’s on my summer list of things to do.

*great wedge over that rock by the way.
Tot Hill Farm is definitely a quirky, yet fun course. I prefer it to Tobacco Road. It's a shame it doesn't get the same recognition
Hopefully Tot Hill will get more recognition now that the restoration is complete!
I hope is doesn’t!!🤫🤫🤫
You know you’re in the south when everyone measures height in stories 😂
Royal new Kent if you haven’t
Last time I played there before the remodeling it was $45. Now it's $125. What a joke. $80 price increase just for a good tee box on #4.
keep practicing on those putts and they will start dropping.
