White Hart Lane Record Attendance 75,038 v Sunderland, FA Cup 6th Round, 5 March 1938

Movietone footage of 1938 FA Cup Quarter Final match between Tottenham / Spurs and Sunderland (Cup Holders) in front of a record White Hart Lane attendance of 75,038, who were packed into the ground.
Spurs had, what they thought was the opener, disallowed for handball. Sunderland then went on to score the only goal of the game and progress to the Semi Finals.
The 75,038 remained the record White Hart Lane attendance - only bettered as a Spurs Home attendance record when they lodged at Wembley whilst their new stadium was built.
